Sorry other vendors have better prices and are taking your business!! She also said "my jeweler won't touch that" about tightening the prongs on my ring because it has a hidden halo?! What....hidden halos are incredibly common. Whatever, I went to another jeweler 10 minutes away and had my beautiful ring fixed up perfectly in 30 minutes. The woman provided such a gross experience, definitely will not ever be back or will not recommend to anyone.

I am considering selling a couple of pieces of gold jewelry and was hoping to get estimates. I also have a ring that needs to be reshaped and possibly resized, and a necklace I want shortened. The jewelry was inspected but not weighed, and the price quoted was probably 1/4 of what I received from other places. They criticized the ring and initially told me it was chipped, which it was not, and said the time and cost to cut a simple gold chain would be high and take a long time. Based on the customer experience, I would never go back. Take your time and shop around, as there are a lot of better options, including The Gold Drop in San Rafael, and Prince in Sausalito, both of which excelled at customer service and provided much better pricing.

When my boyfriend (Andy) and I were shopping for my engagement ring, we went to all the other jewelry stores in the neighborhood (and then some) looking for the right ring. I am indecisive but I also have pretty specific taste...it wasn't easy for me to find much I liked, let alone something I thought I'd like for the rest of my life! We also had no idea what we were doing, neither of us had any experience buying fine jewelry. I found I ring I loved IMMEDIATELY when we went to Mozaffarian. We also liked that the store is small, and it is very carefully and beautifully curated...other places felt a little overwhelming. Mozaffarian really feels like a family owned business, and there are so few places like that left in San Francisco now. The store is quiet and it's evident from the moment you walk inside that this a place you go when you are SERIOUS about buying a beautiful piece of jewelry (or a Faberge egg! It's fun to look at those) Cynthia helped us the first time we visited the store, and we both felt that she instantly understood what I was looking for, and she made excellent points that helped me decide what I wanted - even Andy couldn't accomplish that :) We were both struck by how knowledgeable Cynthia is, but at the same time how polite and sincere - I have never felt like anyone there was just trying to sell us something, and I can't think of any other retail environment I feel that way about. This is the kind of customer service that is incredibly difficult to find these days: knowledgeable, kind people who are eager and able to help you find exactly what you want. Cynthia and Amir worked with Andy to find the perfect diamond for my ring and I could not be happier. As particular as I was about the setting, Andy was even more particular about the diamond, but they found one that met his standards of cut, clarity, color, and carat. It's exactly what we both wanted and I absolutely love it. A year later I still get compliments on it ALL THE TIME - I always know it's time to get my ring cleaned when no one has commented on it in a few days! Cynthia may be the most eloquent person I've ever held a conversation with, and I always enjoy stopping by to get the ring cleaned and catch up. We're getting our wedding bands there now and we would never have considered going anywhere else, in part because Cynthia's guidance is so valuable.
