Made an appt when visiting the area for a trim and conditioning treatment. Treatment was on my hair for 5 minutes and the trim (ends only) was ridiculous. The stylist did not speak to me at all during the appointment and did not ask me anything. My appointment took four hours (should have taken 3), and I walked out with hair that looked almost like it did when I walked in. My color was not close to my roots and did not finish processing, and length or style was not what I asked for (or showed using a picture). It was also very expensive. Stylist was very sweet and did her best, I think. Update after receiving your post: There was no misunderstanding. During my call before the appointment, I was not told prices began at $85, but that it was THE fee for a partial highlight. After I got to the salon and had the consultation, Holly said the charge would be $180 for a partial highlight and cut. After telling her what I was told on the phone, she honored the prices I was told. You are incorrect to claim I requested a color correction, as that discussion never happened since I had no reason to request it. I did receive a consultation for a regular cut and color and was under the impression Holly would do a good job doing what we discussed before she started. It is unfortunate that my hair was not done correctly. Holly noticed this as well when she said she was surprised my color did not pull correctly. While she took a "before" picture, she did not take an "after" picture. You should know I tipped Holly very well for her time, since it did take 4 hours, but over $160 is very expensive to sit for 4 hours and have hair that looks the same as it did before the appointment. If you were familiar with this situation, I wish you had reached out to me to express your willingness to make it right at the time. read more

I have been seeing Stanze for my cut and color for over a year now and I have to say I have never been so happy with my hair so consistently. This is going to be the only salon I ever visit anymore! So, today I got my haircut done by Jamie and my eyebrows waxed by Stephanie. Let me start by telling you what an eye Jamie has for hair. I had absolutely no idea what to do with my hair and it had been months since I had done anything with it. Jamie says, lets do a bob.... So, I'm a bit scared at first. I like my long hair. Lauren is an excellent stylist! I have super thin hair and hadn't had a haircut in years since I was finally able to grow it to the length I liked. But I finally got sick of dealing with my dry split ends and decided it was time to get it cut. I wanted to get an A-line haircut, but was afraid to trust just any stylist to do it since this would be a drastic change for me! I'm so happy I found Lauren. She did an amazing job with my hair! I showed her a picture of the A-line I wanted and she cut it exactly how I wanted it. This is how my story started. After a facial nearby to Cast Salon, and an hour before my hair appt with my normal stylist at another salon called me to cancel because she fell ill, I stumbled upon Cast Salon on the way back to my car. With Thanksgiving next week, I couldn't wait to reschedule with my normal stylist, so I walked in to Cast Salon to see if anyone could color my roots. Lauren happened to have a cancelation so she got me in right away. Her services were fine. I paid cash and even made an appointment for my 18 year old daughter to get holiday hair the next day. This is when my positive experience went downhill. My daughter had a 4 pm appointment and we get a text from Lauren 6 hours before her appointment stating: "My boss, Jamie, spoke with me and I am unable to hold Alex's appointment today at 4 without CC info. I am able however to hold a 15 mins slot at 4 pm today for a consultation. If you like to hold longer time to insure that I have time today to do her hair, you can go on our website and book her appointment online with the CC info or give us a call and we can log it into the computer. I assure you it is encrypted once we have it in the system and would only ever be charged if there was a no show or cancellation within 24 hrs of the appointment." WOW! God Forbid life happens and you wake up with a fever, or have a sick child, or get into a car accident on the way to your appointment! The tag line on their website says "Our customers' happiness is what we live for and we can't wait to meet you!" But the way they do business is, our customer's credit cards are what we live for and we can't wait to meet them! My daughter, like I, was going to pay cash after services rendered. She does not have a credit card. Even if she did I don't feel it's at all necessary to keep one on file. She was discrimated against. It was assumed we'd be a no show? Instead of being joyful about getting 2 new loyal clients within 20 hours, Jamie decided it was better to alienate her potential customers. After requesting a call from Jamie, it became evident that she could care less and unless I gave her a credit card # my daughter's appt was canceled! Oh and I called the following salons who were flabbergasted that this happened and that they NEVER demand credit card #s in order to keep an appointment: Rowdy Hair, Zolton's, Etch Salon and Dolce. read more

$125 cancellation fee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Terrible customer service. Called and made an appointment less than 24 hours in advance. Receptionist never stated the cancellation policy over the phone although she knew I was a new costumer. After the owner dodged my calls all week asking for clarification, her only argument was that a confirmation email and text were sent. Yes, a text message was received but I never confirmed the appointment nor did it state the policy. No email was received and the owner is somehow unable to provide copy as proof that the policy is included. The website doesn't state the policy either. I cannot say enough about Cast Salon and the absolute artistry and talent of Jamie. I have very thick, long and dark hair. I was tired of everyone always thinking my hair is black. I am naturally a brunette but after years of coloring ended up with very dark hair. Jamie not only tackled a very labor intensive color correction (7-8 hours) she nailed the color spot on. I am now a brunette with highlights! The haircut is also amazing! I have had complete strangers stop me to appreciate and comment on my hair and to find out who is responsible!
