    Cheese Pizza

I've been dining here since the '90's and I'm a tough critic! everything is superb. the pizza is second to none and I love their cheesesteaks. I often drive 40 minutes just to get their food. Highly recommended!

We have ordered from here several times for pizza and delivery of other foods, but we have never eaten in and we loved it! Loved the service the time it took to get our food could have been stretched out a bit. Everything from the wine to the ex entree's were delicious. They give you so much food we will be eating it at least two more times as leftovers. The restaurant is quiet and the style of the decor is very Italian. You will not be disappointed!!!!

We have had a few meals here, never to sit always to go or delivery. Great cheese steaks, and the pesto pizza has amazing flavor. After the somewhat dry chicken I substitute with mushrooms and go vegan. The flavor is great as well as the price. This evening (night before a snow storm and the other pizza place in town had a gas leak) The restaurant was pretty much slammed with walk ins to dine, to go and pick ups. The service was still great, the young ladies behind the counter kept things moving smoothly, patrons were getting up to get the door for people carrying too much. The seating area is spacious, nicely decorated and has plenty of seating. Seat your self by the way.

Castiglias was my absolute favorite pizza place in Front Royal when I went to school there about 10 years ago. I remember always ordering a large pizza and finishing it all by myself. However, when I came back just recently, I must say that the pizza is not as good as I remember. I feel like the dough is thicker (I really liked it thin) and the taste just isn't the same. It's still decent but doesn't hit. A plus is it came out freshly made. Spaghetti is alright. The star was definitely the meatballs, sooo yummm. It felt homemade and quality. The portions were hugee so it's worth the money. The Caesar salad was good too! Bread was ok. Service was great and felt homey. They expanded the space and I liked the art in the wall. Overall a decent visit if you're in Front Royal!

Any gluten free items on the menu? Any pasta gluten free?

They have a small pizza and ravioli gluten free, then they have other healthy stuff like salads. Food is great here my favorite in town.

Do you use 100%mozerella cheese on your pizzas or imitation cheese or a combo?

There was no warm welcome and we wait several minutes to even be serviced. Overall the food for the price we paid was abysmal. The lasagna looked grotesque with pasta slices slapped with ground beef and crushed tomatoes from a can with no salt, no garlic and no taste. The pizza I had ordered the crust wasnt even cooked all the way through. I ordered the beet salad and it was pathetic looking for $12. Our waitress seemed preoccupied with other tables and it seemed we were given poor service because we weren't locals or werent dressed in our Sunday best.. I would not recommend this place due to poor service and low quality food.

Today, I finally decided we had to try it out. So so glad we did because we were really impressed. The price is right, the portions are plentiful, and the quality was great. We started with some wine and Italian beer! We had the exact same brand in Venice. We ordered the mussel appetizer and it paired delightfully with my Sauvignon blanc. Our entrees were perfect. The vodka pasta was gone almost as fast as it hit the table and my husband loved his pizza. He asked for the burrata on top, just like we had it in Rome. The dessert was delish and the affogato was splendid! I cannot wait to return!

The cream of crab soup was top notch - a bowl would have been a meal in itself. Then came a salad big enough for 4 (delicious) and fresh out of the oven bread (enough for 4 also). The chicken breast with crabcake was massive and very tasty. The veal parm was sooooooo tasty and also massive. We have at least 2 more meals each. We each had a wonderful chocolate martini as dessert. The service was attentive and helpful. The food came out quickly but we were not rushed. The price? To me, unbelievable (in a very good way).

I really appreciated how far apart the tables are to allow for conversations you can hear and more space in the cold/flu season. I had a Chocolate Martini and my husband ordered a Lemondrop Martini (not on the menu) but was definitely good. The basket of the fluffy, soft, warm rolls were incredible and something I will come back for. I got the Mediterranean bruschetta special which came with feta, crabmeat, tomatoes, balsamic glaze and lots of other yummy things on four pieces of bruschetta. It was delicious. The shrimp scampi over the thin fresh noodles was a pleasure - really loved how big the shrimp were and the large helping of pasta. My husband got the lasagna which was good although they used some different cheeses which made it taste a little different but still good. Amanda our waitress was quick, pleasant, and took good care of us. Fratelli's is a Resy restaurant. Make reservations ahead of time, since on Saturdays even at 4:00 pm, all the reservations are already booked for the night. I have returned to Fratelli's for a work group lunch. Kendra was excellent, taking care of our large group with professionalism, efficiency, and a warm smile and manner. I got the !4" pizza which is a deep dish pizza - just perfect - not too buttery. I got sausage which had the long slices of sausage on it, not spicy. You can only eat one or two pieces out of the thick eight slices, the pizza is thick so expect to share or take it home for several more lunches.

After searching lobster ravioli online, this restaurant came up, and the photos looked so good that we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, we were greeted right away and seated promptly. However, it took a while before anyone came to our table. Two younger waitresses were standing in the back talking with someone they appeared to know, and after about 15 minutes, another staff member finally asked if we had been helped. When I told her we hadn't, she immediately took our drink and food orders. The atmosphere was pleasant and family-friendly, with a relaxed vibe. Once our waitress took over, she was amazing--attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. It was well worth the visit, and I'm so glad I found the place again. I'll definitely be making a trip back!

We were on vacation and had a craving for Italian. Thanks to Yelp for finding this for us (which is…read morewhy I love Yelp!). First I have to give a shout out to our server Ashley! She was amazing. We were there for a late lunch (maybe could be considered an early dinner) and she was the only server on the floor. There were 4-5 tables the whole time we were there. Ashley handled it like the pro I am sure she is. Every table taken care of and checked on, every drink refilled promptly, every table's meal timed PERFECTLY. I was a server for years and I know it's a juggling act to time your tickets. Ashley was flawless. That being said, we ordered Caprese, because if it is on the menu, I am ordering it. Super smart that they are still using Roma tomatoes this early in the season. That means they know quality. So many places just stick with the beefsteak, or whatever big ones they can get without caring about what is in season (so the tomatoes are mealy). Spoiler alert, the larger tomatoes aren't quite there yet. If you care about quality, you are serving Romas right now. They are the most flavorful. This place makes their own fresh mozzarella (scroll through all the food pics), and it shows. Great start to the meal! Our meals came with side salads - Hubby had the Cesar, as always and I had the house. Not sure if they make their dressings in house, but it sure tasted like it. I loved the extra touch of the dressing coming out in a little metal boat so you can add as much or as little as you want. And yeah, the boat. How many places bring your dressing on the side in little plastic containers? Most of them. So this impressed me. The bread - oh the bread is super good, as well! It was warm and came with a yummy garlic butter already slathered on. I did hear from another table asking that plain butter is also available, but the garlic butter is worth it if you are a garlic lover. Hubby's Manicotti was well done. A decent amount of ricotta on the inside and the sauce was really good - not too sweet, not too acid. This is a big thing to mention, as I didn't taste it. That came from Hubby and he usually doesn't comment like that. My spaghetti with garlic and oil was very good, but there was SO MUCH of it! They could easily cut that amount in half (or more) and save some good cost. The place is clean, so are the bathrooms. We would definitely return when in the area again!
