Im a native Phoenician and have never visited Castle Megastore or as i first knew it, Castle Boutique. When I entered I was greeted by Ricky and he asked if i needed any help. I explained to him i was looking for just something small as ive never been in the store and just wanted to look around. He understood and let me know that if i needed help he was near. I walked around and it was similar to what i thought the store would have. It was very interesting, lol. I got the item i thought i would buy here and it was a great price. Upon checkout, Allie was wonderful and asked if i found everything i was looking for. She rang me up with a very large smile, they both thanked me for comming in and wished me a good day. My partner and I decided to go to look around and pass the time since they have a large selection of toys.We were having a stressful day so we wanted to unwind. I made one small purchase and decided before stepping out the door to go back with my partner for a toy we had been second guessing about. The employee start to question us and I told him we just decided to buy this toy we had been looking at. I shouldn't have to justify myself but I felt like I needed to. The toy was $200 so it's not cheap. The cashier start to be so rude telling us "next time can you make all your purchases in one transaction" and was rushing us. This is not a cheap toy, and the rude attitude was so uncalled for. I didn't understand why it even mattered that it was different purchases. This was supposed to be a fun gift I bought for my partner and time to relax now the employee had ruin the moment with the bad attitude. We were pretty close to just not purchasing anything and we won't be going back to that store. read more

DO NOT pay attention to any of the reviews posted a year ago, they are under new management and deserve 5 stars as far as I'm concerned. It says volumes about the retail industry when the best customer service I have ever received is from an adult store. I went in to browse and purchase a last minute Valentine's Day gift, Tammy was there to help. ASK FOR TAMMY. She knew exactly what I needed after giving her minimal information about my personal life. Talking about the subject of sex life in regards to what she could recommend was as professional appropriate as could be, like I was speaking to my doctor or something. I never write reviews unless it was exceptionally good service or exceptionally bad. Unfortunately in this case , this review is the latter. First off if they don't want customers coming in last minute they should change the hours on their phone message, it says 11 but this was a weekday and I guess they close at 9 or something. I came in to buy something real quick and I knew exactly what I wanted but as soon as I went in, I was greeted with a loud "we're closed , you can't come in!" They were tons of ppl still in the store and I persisted that I'd be real quick and I knew what I wanted . Still this woman , don't know her name (she had red hair and dreads) but she seemed like she was the manager by her tone. She did let me make my purchase and I apologize profusely for seemingly coming in late but that still didn't make the transaction any more pleasant . I understand the staff were trying to ring up customers and probably go home but I've been here plenty of times before and never has any employee been that rude to me . Her tone , the attitude, the way her stance was and how she looked at me was totally uncomfortable. The last year must have be pretty rough in the asset protection department to change to treat your customers in such a disrespecting and unwelcoming manner. Immediately upon entering the building there's some slobby looking security guy checking your ID. Typical to check your ID in this sort of establishment, but his grotesque silhouette definitely didn't set the mood. Without hesitation he asks me what I'm looking for. Seriously, no thanks. Immediately after I brush him off he saves no time telling me that the cashiers will be asking me for my purse. Wait, what? My purse? I tell him no thanks, I'll wait until they ask me specifically. The cashier wasted no time in maintaining the pace of the barrage of questions and demands I've endured before I was even in the building for a full 60 seconds. Do they have nothing better to do than monitor the security guard's security responsibilities? Do they not trust in their security guard's ability to "secure" without holding people's belongings hostage? Since she clearly didn't have anything better to do, I tell her she is more than welcome to stare at me as I peruse her establishment, but she informed me she is "too busy" to keep an eye on me as she must maintain a frontward position. So I'm supposed to trust her with putting my bag with my valuables inside on the table behind her when she is incapable of keeping an eye on things behind her? Wouldn't the optimal way for a burglar to get the most out of his burglarizing this establishment then be to wait until the parking lot is full, walking in empty-handed then snatching all the purses the cashier is incapable of keeping an eye on instead of grabbing a handful of cheap chinese lingerie? I was also informed their sign out front says no purses. Sure enough, it says no bags but in the tiniest indecipherable joke of text I've ever seen-- no mention of purses. I would assume bags meant things backpacks, grocery bags, as is typical of most establishments with a "no outside bags" policy. As it stands, It is no better than a "no pockets" policy and is outright sexist. My purse is not negotiable tender to ensure I won't be stealing from your establishment, the same establishment I foolishly gave business to in the past. You are more than welcome to look in my purse on the way in or the way out to make sure my quantity of tampons and is equal to the amount I entered with. I'm done being disappointed with this store, and don't bother with their downtown store either. read more

We usually frequent Fascinations, but we decided to try something different and stop in to Castle. We are very glad we did! Everyone was very cheerful and greeted us as we came in the door. We were asked if we needed help, but said we were just browsing. Later, when we were discussing some of the toys, Leonard overheard us and made some recommendations. We went with what he suggested and, fast-forward a couple weeks, we're glad we did! We will definitely be going back to this location. The only downfall of Castle (vs. Fascinations) is that all locations lack presentation. However, our experience definitely overshadowed this. read more

Horrible customer service. I purchased hosiery, as well as some expensive toys and clothes, at a different Castle nearby, but my husband informed me he just ordered me a bunch online. I went to return the hose at this Castle near my house, less than one hour later. They stated since this was a "boxed" item, they refused to accept the return ONE HOUR AFTER PURCHASE, despite obviously being brand new, packages in perfect shape. The return policy is printed in the receipt, and says nothing about refusing to accept a boxed item return. I returned the items to the first Castle, no problems. I will never come back to this location. read more

I was first taken to this store when I had just turned 21- a friend of mine wanted to get a new corset and thought it would be funny to take me to an adult store as I had never been to one, and was fairly prude to boot. Of course for an adult-store newbie there was a lot of blushing and giggling on my part but after the shock value wore off, I fell in love with the store. They had a great selection of cute lingerie (we went in October so there were some really cute costumes), and a knowledgeable staff which helped with being a beginner and all. I have been shopping at The Castle for many years only at this location. I really like how well organized everything is. The salespeople are really professional and have a matter of fact attitude that made it not embarrassing on this last visit to tell the saleslady what I was looking for so that she could recommend some items. She hit it out of the ball park as I am very very pleased with her suggested items. Shopping here is not a scary or embarrassing experience and its better than trying your luck with on-line stores. I went to this location on a Sunday night awhile back and had a good experience. When I came thru I had my ID ready, and was greeted. When I was there I felt very comfortable to browse freely and not be really bothered. Castle Megastore has a vast selection of lubes, BDSM, plugs and cages. The movies were easy to browse. The clothes are set out with a lot of space and room to look about. The girl at the register was really polite, non-judgmental as she rung my items up. I don't remember her name. She was kinda short and had reddish hair. But, they did seem genuinely pleased to be working there. I would definitely return again or try visiting one of their other locations next time. So me and my boyfriend go into this castle around 1130pm. And first thing said from one of the two employees was "im gonna need to hold your purse behind the counter.!" I, being happy to spend money at castle, and have worked at Castle before (mesa location) let it go so i could shop. Neither female had any kind of customer greeting. No smile. No nothing. Still i let it go. But when it came to me asking the whereabouts of an item i know "we" (the store i worked at) sold.. i got nothing but a blank star from one employee and no kind of answer. I actually answered for her.. she then came up to me a few mins after and asked which store i worked at and for how long and what my name was etc. And then walked away. And that was all the attention i received during this visit. I picked out a body chain ive wanted since forever.. and in its packaging it was crumbled up. So i asked if i could take it out, make sure it was legit. The only other employee said that wasnt allowed & they dont put damaged products on the floor. And i said im not gonna pay that price, not be able to return it without checking it first. She then ripped open the plastic and sat it on the table for me to examine. All the while her hand on her hip and a mean mug stare at me. I did NOT react. Instead i bought everything i put on the counter (TOTAL $$163.00!) Thanked them and left. However i noticed they were hiring.. and i DID NOT ask about a job. I wont ever come back to this castle!. They need better customer service. read more
