The lady I had was nice and we had good conversation but that's not the whole experience unfortunately. I had a photo for reference and the photos speak for themselves. I'm not delusional and I know that I wasn't going to get the exact same thing but I wanted the same length, shape and I was fine with doing only white French tips to cut cost. I did communicate I didn't like them and the only option was to sit down and 'fix them' but I'm not sure they would've been able to give me what I wanted after seeing the first attempt so I paid and left. They are amazing, services is superb and always very fashionable. I moved from Coppell after 2 years and went to Las Colinas, and kept going to Castle Nails - especially thanks to their personalize service and Tina - she is the best. I came in on a Sunday to get a gel mani and pedicure. First, the prices are up there compared to other nearby nail salons. The issue I had with this nail salon is the quality of the gel mani and pedi I got. Just two days after, my gel manicure started to chip in big portions. Lesson learned. I've had hit and miss service. Last night I decided I won't be back. I understand that we are just talking nails here - none of this is life or death. But I did want to share a little in case it helps the next person. I went for dip nails and Hannah helped me. She was friendly, but about halfway through she was talking to some other girls in the salon in another language and pointing at me and laughing. I'm not sure what they were saying of course, but it felt like I was the butt of a joke. Whatever, I ignored it. Here's the other thing. Each time she dips your nails in the powder, she flicks your finger in a "F U" kind of motion with her thumb and middle finger. She does this to get the powder off, but it hurts. Why can't she use a powder brush like everyone else? Then, when we were nearly done, she asked what I thought and I pointed out that the polish was a good ways away from the cuticle. It looked like it was two weeks grown out. She huffed and put the materials back out and filled the spots. In the end they looked nice, albeit a little messy. Wow. I've been to many nail salons but this one has to be THE WORST by far. I wish I could give zero stars. I went in for a simple, basic pedicure. When I first arrived no one even spoke to me for a good couple minutes. Then when I asked for their basic pedicure the girl kept hounding me to get more stuff (nails too, eyebrow, a better pedicure) It was annoying and uncomfortable. Finally I was able to sit down for the basic pedicure and the girl who was assigned to me didn't even greet me or say anything. I'm sorry, but that's kind of rude. At least say hi... Last, and WORST was how rough she was with my feet and toes. I went in with normal/comfortable toes but she dug around so much during the pedicure that I'm pretty sure I have an infection now. Ever since I left- my big toe has been in a ton of pain, and when I removed my shoe after school today, I see how red and inflamed it is. This has never happened to me and it was not like this before the pedicure. Beware friends. There are way better places in the area. read more

This place use to be busy and on this visit nor so much. My complaint was the kids of Management/owner/employee running around. Ice cream dropping all over the place. I'm paying for a service and I'd like to relax. I'm not anti kids. It was unprofessional and annoying, the kids should've hung out in the break room while customers are present. I will never come here again. I got 8 long nails 2 short and took an hour and half for dip powder. I have no time to have it removed or fixed. Then they tried to charge me for almond shape and then also for long nails extra for that too. I was cut about 10 times while she was doing my nails. I also have glue everywhere under my nails stuck to my skin. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. And when I complained to the person running the nail shop she was so rude to me. My daughter went in to get a full set and was sent out feeling that she was not well taken care of, she was not listened to, and she was really upset. Her nails are not what she asked for and she was sent home with her nails looking awful. I feel like this is a continuous problem at this location. She went in because the usual place we go was super busy and she was crunched for time before a trip. I figured since it had been so long (well over as year) since we tried this place that maybe there were some new nail techs and perhaps she could get at least what she asked for. She went in and asked for a full set acrylic and even had her own nail polish and was told by whomever ended up doing her nails that they don't do that and she had to get dipping powder. I've never had this happen with NexGen (the dip) and I've been doing Nex Gen for over a year now. So, I come in thinking the salon can surely fix my nails, no problem. The "dude" at the front, first off, you can tell is probably miserable with his position. The salon is packed and he (rudely) states there is a 40 min wait with emphasis for ANY service and "if I would like to wait for 40 min, sweetie" in the salon. Or come back another day "the sooner the better!" Very insincere. Excuse me, sweetie - But your place sucks. I used to come here all the time and it has most definitely changed. She barely touched my feet for the "callus remover" that's supposed to be included in the pedicure, so my heels are still somewhat rough which isn't the norm after a basic pedi. I asked her to make my nails shorter and shape them and they're still long and she didn't really file them into shape. I've been regularly going here approx twice a month for over a year. I get the dipping powder nails (I'm addicted!) and/or pedis only so can't speak to their waxing or other services. I only see Kathy for the dipping powder and she knows exactly the way I like my nails. More often than not, this place is great which is why I keep returning! Clean inside, friendly staff, good products and service offerings, etc. My best advice... Always MAKE an appointment. They are ALWAYS busy. I've seen people get so upset because they are walk-ins and others are getting helped ahead of them. There have been a few times when their scheduling got sloppy and I either got skipped over or had to wait but no place is perfect. Yes, some of the folks in there struggle with the best English, but there are others around to help translate and offer help if that happens. I think communication is huge. If you're not happy, they'll fix it immediately. I had to go back once because one of my nails turned out strange after I got home. Their pedis are awesome! I highly recommend!
