I've been regularly going here approx twice a month for over a year. I get the dipping powder nails (I'm addicted!) and/or pedis only so can't speak to their waxing or other services. I only see Kathy for the dipping powder and she knows exactly the way I like my nails. More often than not, this place is great which is why I keep returning! Clean inside, friendly staff, good products and service offerings, etc. My best advice... Always MAKE an appointment. They are ALWAYS busy. I've seen people get so upset because they are walk-ins and others are getting helped ahead of them. There have been a few times when their scheduling got sloppy and I either got skipped over or had to wait but no place is perfect. Yes, some of the folks in there struggle with the best English, but there are others around to help translate and offer help if that happens. I think communication is huge. If you're not happy, they'll fix it immediately. I had to go back once because one of my nails turned out strange after I got home. Their pedis are awesome! I highly recommend! They also serve wine and frozen margaritas which is a nice touch to have a fun girls afternoon. If you go next door to Tom Thumb, flip the receipt over for a coupon to this place. read more

I don't know where to start.. I called before hand at around 12:30 that day and asked for a 6:00 appointment right after work. They agree and I make it there by 6:13 because of the traffic that was on the way there. I didn't bother to call because its 13 minutes they wouldn't make me wait right?? WRONG! I had got there and the lady tells me well ur 16 minutes late.. please give me about 20 minutes and Ill start on your nails. Im patiently waiting and I just over hear all of them just laughing up a storm between the entire store.. and I don't know what they are saying but I can tell its about me. Im ignoring it and am waiting on my phone and the lady screams at me "HELLO!! GIRL!!" after I hadn't answered her for a second.. talk about rude and disrespectful. Im waiting about an hour in total before a guy takes me to the pedicure seat and turns my water on ice cold.. Lady comes over 20 minutes later and finally they both start working on me. The lady is distracted, barely knows how to glue on the tips to my nails and keeps breaking them off and gluing them back on. Doesn't file anything besides the tips of my actual nail bed and proceeds to take her sweet time talking between her co workers laughing all throughout the salon. I was impressed with my toes the guy had done, both of them proceed to take pictures of the job without asking me.. I didn't leave till probably around 8:00 and ended up paying $80.00 for the basic pedi, and coffin shaped medium length dip nail.. $90.00 in total because I tipped them to be nice. I regret that because not even 2 weeks in, my middle nail has popped off and have had a hangnail on my big toe since I left that salon. Please do not go here!!!!! They suck!!! I didn't leave because I had a date later that night. They are expensive for no reason as their quality is shitty. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

I love LOVE this place!! I always get my gel nail manicure done by QB and he is AMAZING!!! He is very gentle and does an excellent job... on feet too. I noticed she even skipped a few things... although she did point out before starting that working on my tough heels would be extra. Very bad service and I cannot blame anyone but the management. My daughter and I went to get our nails done a week ago and after two days my gel nails looked so bad. There were cracks all over and the polish on the edges were uneven. I called and told them. They said I had to come into store right then. I told them I couldn't because I work during the week and many of my evenings are busy. But, they demanded i see them right then . I went in and showed them. I told them I'd be in Saturday to fix. I arrived Saturday right when they opened, was told they were busy , and they said they had told me not to come Saturday ( never heard that!) and I simply asked for a refund. My worst ever experience. Absolutely a nightmare!!!They have broken my skins around 6 of my nails when doing the dipping powder for me. Still very painful whenever I washing my hands now. I have told the technician it was very painful when she was polishing my nail using the tool, she just ignored my complain and was very rude to me. Jill did my manicure. The nails on one hand were long and the others were completely filed off. She cut my cuticles so obsessively that four of my fingers were bleeding and all of them are sore. When I asked to have them evened out, she told me to come in the next day and they could maybe be filed. I said I was very unhappy and didn't want to pay for the manicure. I paid for my pedicure (which another employee did, and it's okay but nothing great) and when I got home, my bank called because there was a duplicate charge. Not sure if this was intentional or a mistake, but it definitely added insult to injury. read more

Doesn't even deserve 1 star. My daughter went to CASTLE nails by Anamias and Tom Thumb today- when I picked her up, she had multiple fingers bleeding that look like this one. When I talked to the owner, she said she would disinfect her fingers and apologized for the multiple bleeding nails - she also said the technician was new; however, she was already doing the same thing to another person while we were there. This is unacceptable- I feel like they totally took advantage of a 13 year old girl. I'm sure there are experienced technicians there- just be sure and ask for one. read more

Worst experience in years of mani/pedis. The Technician made my big toe bleed from repeated rough buffing. She also cut my toe nails so short they are uncomfortable-a 4th of the under nail skin is revealed and so sensitive I can't wear closed toe shoes. Meanwhile, the other Technician working on my hands couldn't understand English so she kept making my nails square after I repeatedly asked for round. I finally showed her with the file and then they ended up all crooked and uneven and she broke one off entirely. With both technicians, they were so rough pushing back the cuticles it was painful. I have had multiple mani/pedis in 3rd world countries and all were better than this. Will not be back. read more

Got the King Pedicure. One leg massage was the calf area only, the other was over the plantar foot area and on the calf. Nothing on the toes or soles of feet.I looked across the room and another patron was getting a one handed, absent-minded shoulder massage as the staff member stared at the tv. No mindfulness, no nothing, is what the vibe was here. The polish was applied nicely, and any boo-boo areas were touched up with polish remover. The manicure didn't happen as my cuticle was cut open & bleeding when 2nd attempt was made to file and correct a botched 1st polish application. These ladies were so rude. They gossip the entire time. Believe me if they are speaking in Vietnamese then they are saying something rude about you in front of your face. I know because even though I'm caucasian (me chang - white boy) I have had 2 ex's that taught me how to speak Vietnamese. They quote you one price when you walk in then add several other items without telling you and jack up the price when you check out at the register. I wouldn't take my dog there to get her nails clipped - I go across the street now for half the price and much better scene and you get more for your money. read more

I came to Castle Nails a few months ago with my step daughter for her birthday on a whim. I've never really had a nail place of "my own" where I'd go repeatedly until I found this place. We were treated very kindly, offered drinks and given the remote to one of the televisions. They were busy that day but got to us quickly. My step daughter and I both had great experiences. I've been back a handful of times since then, alone and with friends and we've had the same great experience. That being said, I'm surprised there are negative reviews about this place, and from what I read they seem to be petty complaints. Any time you get your nails done, no matter where, you have the opportunity to tell them your concerns with your service. If you choose to leave with a service you aren't satisfied with, I'm not sure how that's the salon's fault. I know for me, personally, I've been asked every time at the register how the service was, and if I wasn't satisfied, they would've taken care of it right away. My friend, for example, smudged her nail after leaving the salon and she went back and they took care of it right away. They aren't perfect, but they do a fantastic job and I will keep going back. read more

Honestly, I have come here for years and never had an issue. A few months ago I noticed that the service was noticeably different/worse. I continued going because I'm a creature of habit. Unfortunately, I left today with three nails bleeding and paint left on every finger surrounding the nail. Not only am I in pain because of how deep she cut me three times, but am genuinely disappointed at how bad the service was from the moment I walked in the door. I was a bit nervous because of some of the negative reviews, but was not disappointed by the service. I was looking to get an express mani before going to the gym since I had a full day of events ahead of me, and my usual place didn't have any availability. I was helped right away when I walked in. They don't offer an express mani, so I got their most basic service, which was an $18 mani which is a lot more than I wanted to pay, but the service was good and efficient. I brought my own polish because I like this stuff you can buy at the store that's super quick fast drying like gel polish but can be taken off with regular remover. Everything seemed really clean - looked like they do the thing where all customers get a fresh mini nail file and buffer, and the metal tools were taken out of an autoclave pouch. They even put plastic covers over the pedi spas so you weren't putting your feet into the same pedi spa as other customers. I haven't had any issues with the polish coming off or my cuticles like some of the other reviews mentioned (Sat - Tues so far so good). read more

i have come here 3 times so far. The first time was awesome, but the other two times were not so great which make me not want to come back. I came here for the first time just because they had a grand opening sale. The owner was there and he was super nice, asking me how everything was and making sure I was well taken care of. The next two times, I got nail techs that ended up hurting me in some way and not very apologetic about it. The first time the lady was cutting my cuticles and she cut me by accident and my finger started bleeding. I find this so unsanitary but she wanted to keep working on my nails. The next time the lady was putting my foot in the hot wax paraffin and she didn't even move around the bag like I noticed the other lady doing for my friend to cool down the wax ,well she stuck my foot in there and it was HOT AS HELL. yeah the place is pretty clean, and the price is average, and it's a great location for me but I rather go elsewhere if they are going to keep hurting and cutting me up. I had a queen pedicure done. The bony girl with blue hair is whom I got. The worst pedicure of my life !!! This girl didn't even know how to cut nails or basic cleaning of nails !!!? I was disgusted the whole time. I had to stop the relaxing massage in the chair just so I can watch what she was not doing. She was beyond incompetent. The pedicure was supposed to include massage, the girl didn't use any strength at all. I got zero massage !! I told the lady next to me I want a different person to do my pedicure. she said she will fix it later. She did clean up my nails later but soooo rude and rough. My whole experience got ruined. Power was out at my usual nail place across the street and decided to try out this place. The chandeliers were what caught my attention. Around here that seems to be a sign of a clean place. I wasn't disappointed, everyone was very friendly, I got a mani pedi and both techs were attentive and I've got the best gel mani I've ever had! First, let me say, I don't typically go out of my way to write bad reviews. I'm usually very forgiving and what most would consider a "low maintenance customer". However, I have been a twice a month customer for over 5 years and spend over 250.00 a month at this business. I just had my nails done and left with red dipping powder all over my fingers. The manager saw the issue when I went to pay, walked over to the nail technician and informed her of the mistake but never addressed the issue with me directly. When I asked him if I would be able to get this off my fingers, he simply stated, "Yes." Meaning, it'll either wear off or it's my problem to take it off when I get home. Some sort of acknowledgement would have been nice. I own a small business myself and understand good customer service. I'm very sorry to say that I won't be going back after today. The wait time was estimated at 20 minutes. I chose to come back another time. When I returned on Wednesday evening, same story... Since it's "happy hour" (15% off pedi / mani) on Monday - Wednesday, I stayed. Overall, I was pleased as a first time customer. Le seems to be in charge and she is definitely pleasant and welcoming. They are very organized and well staffed. Although I didn't get the name of my tech, I can say everyone seemed friendly. My pedicure service was average, but satisfactory! I can't honestly say the entire staff is rude or unprofessional however the nail technician that just did my nails was the worst experience I've ever had. Despite my mother also having a terrible experience (they made her bleed multiple times and also spoke to her very rudely) and her warning me not to go I was lazy and made the mistake of going. This woman was so rude to me and also rushed through my nails at lightening speed pulling my arms and being rough and even cutting open my cuticles. This place used to be amazing.. unfortunately they're arent doing so well anymore if i could give a zero i would... i got a reg pedi and a new set.. i told him to square shape my toenails and i have one square nail.... the lady who did my nails cut 3 of my fingers... she was rough from the start and moving super fast so that she could move to her next client just to converse and then proceeded to tell me i couldnt get long nails as if she was the one paying for them... as a paying customer when i ask for something.. its expected that i get what i ask for... WOW!!! Words cannot explain! I have lived in grapevine for 3 months and had yet to find a nail salon that I liked. Today I walked in and was happily greeted even though it was an hour before close. They let me sit in a massage chair next to my friend who was getting a pedicure even though I only needed a solar fill. After consideration I decided to get a pedicure even though I was in skinny jeans, so they offered to let me change out of them and cover myself with a towel. (To some this might be uncomfortable but they made me feel more than comfortable!) Cleanliness is a must at this establishment; tub covers and gloves for every pedicure. Once we sat down we were both offered REAL wine, margaritas, or warm neck pillows The staff was incredibly friendly and detail oriented. We requested a music change and stayed an hour past close with absolutely no complaint! Needless to say I have found my bi-weekly nail salon!!! read more

I called the manager after I left and although he was nice, he never offered to refund me. $50 is too much money to spend to leave unhappy with my nails and in pain. I won't be going back. I have come here several times and have been pleased except this most recent time. I came with my daughter for dual pedicure. Someone assisted my daughter immediately. I waited and waited without any assistance. They forgot I needed a pedicure. My daughter finished hers and I was only assisted afterwards. A bit disappointed we didn't share the experience together. This is my go-to nail spa. I used to go to Rose Nails across the street for over 10 years, but they sold the business so it's no good anymore. My first experience here wasn't the best, but I've been several times since and figured out a few women and a couple men who are very good at the services. My secret for the best quality on hands and feet is to do the dipping powder on my fingernails and gel on my toes. I can go 2 months with the gel on me toes and about 4 weeks with the dipping powder! I was just looking for a decent pedicure place in Coppell. Decided to try this place. It was a really nice place, clean and they had a lot of gel options, however, I will not be returning. I chose the queen pedicure option and my lady spent maybe 5 minutes on my toes before moving on to painting them! She cut my toe nails unevenly and was not too pleased when I asked her to fix it. I was never offered anything to drink and she forgot to moisturize and massage my legs. Only after my toes were painted and dried (I did gel on my toes) did she go back and massage just my legs for less than 3 minutes. The kicker was when I went to check out. The pedicure I chose was $32. IT WAS $25 TO ADD GEL COLOR. I paid $57 for a mediocre pedicure. Never in my life have I heard of gel being an extra $25. That's ridiculous. Lesson learned. read more
