SO MUCH FUN! I think this was the only thing we did in Catalina that was worth the price. The black diamond was very challenging. PRO TIP: don't use your arms to hold yourself up so much. Find you center of gravity and put the weight in your feet NOTE: I dropped my phone all the way to the ground but the guide was able to get it and the ground is nice and cushioned so it didn't get cracked or anything. read more

This place is SO FUN & cool! It's such a good price for what you get! It's total 90 min & that includes the training beforehand but if you're on a course after the timers up, you can still finish it. We started off with the beginner course and then went to intermediate level 2. There's an easier intermediate level and the hardest one called Black Diamond. It's so much fun, a great workout, & very rewarding because of the mental challenges when you face your fears. I recommend a lot & can't wait to come again to try the hardest level. The guides are VERY helpful in guiding how to do the obstacle if you're struggling. It's difficult but doable & will be a great memory. read more

Unfortunately my daughter didn't meet the height requirement and couldn't do the aerial adventure. However their supervisor Sam went the extra mile to help us out and made sure we were taken care of. I took my 11-year old nephew and his friend to do the ropes course and they had an amazing time. My nephew has done several ropes courses in the past and he said this was the best one so far. The employee who helped us, Camille, was fantastic. She was very friendly and talked the boys through the course, making them feel comfortable. This was so much fun! The course is self-paced and fortunately, it was not too busy when I went. Although, the woman ahead of me was very apprehensive about moving forward so I had to wait for her. I made sure to keep my distance so that she would not feel any pressure to move before she was prepared. I could see how a line would build up on the contraptions if many people were there. I noticed a couple of men were wearing climbing shoes, but I just wore regular running shoes & I breezed right through the levels and had a blast. I'm sure navigating the ropes would definitely be more challenging for people with big feet. read more

We have completed 2 of the 3 courses on previous Island trips, and really looked forward to doing this again - but we were denied! While the courses are extremely good, the way they cancelled our reservation wasn't fair. We made our reservations far in advance of our trip. The morning of our afternoon reservations, we confirmed our appointment time by phone. About 2 hours prior to our reservation time, we received a reminder text about our reservations. Then an hour and half before our reservation time, they called us to cancel. I asked about showing up there very quickly, I was told they wouldn't take us. I asked about the following day, she said they were closed. Unfortunately, we were at the end of our trip. She said they would refund our money - that went smoothly. This was a key reason for coming to Avalon since there aren't many obstacle courses around. But booking a reservation and having it cancelled shortly before the appointment time was a great disappointment. read more

Such a great experience! 5/5 would definitely do it again! Checking in was very easy. If you didn't get the gloves when you book the experience online, I highly recommend getting them when checking in. They were relatively cheap, but made a huge difference, because I am sure my hands would have blisters if I didn't. The beginning courses are pretty easy, with some more difficult ones in there. There is a great feeling of accomplishment after figuring out how to get across a tough obstacle. The small zip lines are really fun also! Only thing I was sad about was that we didn't have enough time to do a "hard" difficultly path of obstacles, as we ran out of time. We start promptly, but the time it takes for everyone to put their gear on and go thru a 15 minutes training exercise on a small course does eat into the 90 minutes of the experience. But overall, amazing experience, will do it again in a heartbeat! read more

I was originally scheduled for 1:30 but I arrived at noon so I asked if I could get an earlier spot.Ben was very accommodating and moved me to the 1pm slot. Gerry was my guide. He was very helpful and he's probably the only person that received an undivided attention from me because duh... I don't want to die. LOL! He also took amazing photos and videos of me with my game face on. Emily is another person. She took over after Gerry. She's very encouraging and took amazing photos and videos as well.
