Back in Business we came in for our first night out to dinner since the shut down. All workers had on masks. My boyfriend has been in several times but this was my first time to Catch 22. The restaurant itself is clean and has a cozy feel to it. We started with the Steak Bites on the appetizer list. They were good and came with pita bread, would've been better with a little dipping sauce on the side but overall they were very tasty. We both got French onion soup which was great! I ordered the Pasta Tuscano, 10/10! The shrimp was delicious and tasted very fresh as did the scallops and mussels in the dish. I'm not sure what the pasta was in this dish but it tasted homemade and melted in your mouth. My boyfriend got the Jumbo Shrimp Scampi- again the shrimp was cooked perfectly and very fresh. We came here for Valentines Day dinner. Ordered prime rib for two and everything was delicious. Calamari was fresh, light and crispy. French onion soup was yummy. I literally can't say enough good things about this place. My husband and I have tried almost all of the "local" restaurants, and Catch 22 offers the BEST food...hands down! Very good food, the prime rib is unbelievably good. The whole menu is a winner, I've never been disappointed.

Unfortunately this place has taken a giant turn for the worst. Their staff it tweaking out on drugs, dropping silverware on the floor and putting it on tables, rubbing their face on plates or rubbing their own face raw due to whatever drug they are on. I was thoroughly disgusted before my food came to the table and should've walked out. The manager on staff had to know the person was on drugs, I wasn't the only person watching the sad disgusting behavior. The food isn't like it used to be, and now I question who's in the back preparing and touching my food if staff is allowed to work while doing drugs. It's unfortunate what has happened to this place. Wow! A very underrated Restaurant! My family decide to try something new! We get the usual Artichoke Dip and Calamari. My Goodness the Artichoke was the best that I've tasted in a while! The cheese was hot and fresh, and the bread was delicious, with or without the dip! And then we got our Cesar salad, which that taste exactly how it should! And then there's an Entree, the Steak was made how I liked it, and the Potato was fresh and scrumptious! Overall, a great experience at Catch 22! read more

This was a fun night! The decor, staff, and food were all on point. I got the jumbo shrimp and it was quite the surprise of how good it was. I've had some pretty amazing shrimp throughout the world but this honestly surprised me I'm a good way. Also the seafood pasta was delicious. Very very good. This restaurant is always so friendly and the food is delicious. I DEFINITELY recommend the ribeye. It was so juicy and cooked to perfection. As for the restaurant itself the waiting service is always very friendly my only issue is sometimes our waitress takes forever to get us the check. I'm not a huge fan of sitting around a restaurant for half an hour after I'm finished. XD The restaurant itself is rustic, boat obsessed(Algonac Duh!), dimly lit and always has a handful of customers whenever we've been in there. The tables are clean and nothing seems to be falling apart so that's a huge bonus over the Flaming Grill. As far as I'm concerned this is the best restaurant choice in Algonac. This was our first time there. There were 5 of us and each had something different. I had the seafood platter. It had shrimp, salmon, scallops, and mussels. It had a sauce/broth that was amazing. A touch of fennel. Everything was cooked to perfection. It is so easy to overcook salmon. At our table my sister and husband both had specials-angel fish and bone-in ribeye. This restaurant could have five stars, but has too many issues. The food is great, the service decent, but they are almost always out of items listed on special, and have a nonchalant attitude about it--one never finds out at the time of ordering, but are instead informed AFTER consuming the appetizer and salad/soup. And, the seating arrangements are horrible. But, the food is amazing, so if you're willing to put up with the rest, this is your place. Third time's the charm. Group of 9 stopped for lunch. Our waitress, Michelle, was absolutely fantastic. Had been here twice before with poor service and worse food. Today, everyone really enjoyed what they ordered, and the service was excellent. I had French dip, meat was tender and tasteful. Hubby had liver and onions, said it was cooked just right. 2 had burgers, 2 had Reuben's, 1 had Cuban sandwich, 1 had a fish sandwich, and 1 had tuna special. We were headed up river fro West harbor Lake Erie. We stayed at the Algonac harbor club and we were told the restaurant was closed there. We are now so glad it was. There was a group of 7 of us and we all had a fantastic time and the food was wonderful. We have now changed our travel schedule so we can stop back and eat at Catch 22 on our way home. The staff was so nice and I can't say enough about the perch. I have been eating perch my whole life and that was some of the best. Kawbang shrimp was big and light batter, tasty. Not disappointed with this one. My friend had ribeye med rare-she thought it was "OK" not as good as a steakhouse steak. Same thing with my NY Strip. A Little tough. Ordered it med rare or medium. Great flavor but a little tough. Cost 100.00 for meal for 2 with tip and two apps. Pricey for draft(drink somewhere else)Nice atmosphere. We'll be back. We've always heard such good things about catch 22, so we decide to find out for ourselves. We had a really nice experience while we were there. The food was amazing with a relaxing atmosphere and the wait staff was very attentive. I had the Prime rib which was cooked to my liking, with a roasted potatoe, and a side salad. I was very impressed that they make their salad dressing in house, Yummy. It going to be our new Sunday dinning place. read more

Took my in-laws and my family out for dinner. Entrees were very good! I had salmon, my wife and MIL got walleye, my son had a kids' meal, and we added on frog legs and perch for my daughter (plus sharing). Salmon a touch "fishy" but salsa and rub were excellent. Red-skins OK. Walleye was good, as was shrimp. Best food hands-down was the perch! Kids meal was average, frog legs, too.
