After last night, I will be rating this venue at 1 star.. So, I have been coming here to Catch One since early this year. I began only going to one event, to branching out and going to multiple events in the different rooms. Apparently, I wasn't allowed to enter the Reggaeton & Hip Hop Room, because it was "exit only". This all started when I left one room next door, around 1:40am. I had planned to go to the Quiereperreo around 1:45am, because I wanted some fresh air first. There were two guys standing outside the Quiereperreo entrance and I stood on the right side of the entrance from them. So one of them asked, " Are you waiting for a friend or something?" And I responded, " No, I was planning on going in soon", and then he says, " This event is exit only now", but then says how there wasn't "re-entry", when I didn't even get a chance to go in that room at all... My intentions for wanting to go to that event, was only to get the last few minutes before 2am to get my money's worth of the music and then leave right after. I honestly believe that I should've been able to go in for the last couple of minutes because it was literally only 1:45am, and it felt like time was going so slow in that moment ,and at that point, it was just a waste of money, just to not be allowed in, for the last minutes remaining.. I feel like they choose when and when not to allow people in at this point because, past events I went to (recently in the months), I was allowed to enter the rooms I paid admission for, and would go in around that time for it, so I don't understand the switch up. So in all, if you come here and multiple events catch your eye in the same night, don't buy the tickets beforehand, like how I did.. They don't offer refunds, and you'll leave unsatisfied like me.. It was fun here while it lasted, minus that experience, but I don't plan on coming back to this venue again.. *Add-on: And they do give vague directions to the rooms. It's easy to over look when you're eager to go where needed. They tend to say, " it's around the corner" or "it's on the other side". read more

i would give zero stars if i could. my partner and i were verbally and physically assaulted by a security guard at futch night. my partner and i were using the restroom together as we typically do and a guard was flashing a flashlight at us while we were using the bathroom. as soon as we get out she stuck her arm out to not let us pass. we were so confused. she then stars to yell in my face and out her hands in my face. this is not how you talk to people. if she talked to me normally everything would have been fine but she escalated a situation that i had no clue about when we were just going pee. i would repeat myself that we were going pee and she continued to yell that we can't be here and we need to leave. she completely ignored my partner and was attacking me for no reason. i then said i don't want to talk to you if you're going to yell at me. when we exited the bathroom she called 4 security guards on me. which made no sense because i did nothing and was going to do nothing. apparently you can't go pee at this place because they'll attack you for no reason. the security then escorted and pushed me out but only me and not my partner. this was supposed to be a safe space for queer people especially after the election but apparently the people who work here are unprofessional and miserable. never ever coming back to this place again. as a person of color and being queer this places is extremely unsafe. i've decided to leave a photo of the security guard in case anyone who goes to catch one is aware of her behavior. read more

The show I attended was great! I've been to many event spaces and have attended many events in my 39 years. What stood out to me the most was the staff. The door folks, security and bartenders all made a big impression on me. They were kind efficient and handled business in a very professional manner. It can be challenging to find establishments that are run efficiently and effectively while maintaining understanding and kindness, so thank you for a great experience all around. I was there tonight to see 4/1 to see Aurat. This place has way too much going on at once. The music is good, but the asian security guard with the pink jacket needs to get his mess together. It's overcrowded to the point where you can't even enjoy yourself. Not to mention the drinks are extremely overpriced, and the male bartender with a mullet and glasses is a straight up stressed out asshole. They are so unorganized, when trying to exit tonight it was like you're packed in like sardines, it's a fire hazard! Not to mention the bathrooms are filthy and the floors are always soaked. I attended the Suki Waterhouse show for Amazon music and the venue was upstairs. I'm currently in a wheelchair after an ankle surgery and was worried about getting up the stairs since they are an older building and don't have an elevator. I spoke with security and they did EVERYTHING they could to help me. Sergio (one of the security guards) was an actual angel sent from above. He let me put my arm around him and hop up the stairs and when I got to the top he ran to the bar and got me a water. He told me to come find him when the show was done so he could help me down. I found him and he pretty much carried me down the stairs while another security guard walked down backwards in front of us in case I fell. I've been here before and I thought that the vibe was really nice 2 years ago so it hurts me to say that I got roofied here 2 weeks ago within the first 10 minutes of being inside. The bartender didn't know how to make the drink half way into it either so I'm even more suspicious because his hands were all over the ice and when I questioned him, he started looking at the menu to remember how the drink was made. My friend's phone got snatched on top of all of that but thankfully we made it to the ER. It seemed fun but it's actually sketchy when it's filled. I went to the catch one today for a day party. The place first and foremost had no AC that was working properly initially and also last but not least after purchasing a table the female security kept harassing my party for no reason. She first came and told us that we didn't have correct wrist bands. We got that corrected, she came back and kept harassing us while just causing unnecessary issues in our section that we paid for that was under the limit for the amount of people. I would not recommend coming to this establishment as the GM after speaking with him thought it was a joke. I paid for my section and should not have to be harassed after paying my money plus some as I always tip well. After all this another security guard came at my as if he was going to try and pick me up to escort me out. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. Management here has no respect and doesn't understand how to operate a nightclub. I'm thoroughly disappointed with how they handled their admission into the club. Not worth your time to go here unless you wanted to be treated like trash and waste your time. First off, it was a popular B&L event so at 9pm there were hoards of people in line around the block. Line management was nonexistent; people were cutting in and out and their railings were useless and caused more problems than solving. This wouldn't have been a problem if people didn't feel the need to cut... like if the line was moving aka people were being let in. Nope, only like 10 people were let in every 30 minutes. Yes, we waited from the end of the block (before the line wrapped around the corner) and only reached halfway to the entrance in 30 minutes. Why don't let people in consistently and tell people it's at max capacity before they wait over 2 hours in line. If the security guards checking ids would actually do their jobs instead of trying to holler at girls and power tripping, maybe people can actually get in and they can finish their jobs earlier (since that's obviously what they wanted to do). Right when someone announced it was at max capacity those id checkers dipped real fast. Thanks for doing your job, NOT. Awesome management. Showing up, it can be very confusing where to go. We stood out front in a line for a few minutes before watching some others walk around the corner to another line. The staff was friendly and security seemed attentive. Some of the bartenders were not the friendliest. While we are talking about the bar be prepared for some expensive drinks. A bottles beer (bud, modelo, Stella) all about $10 and a mixed drink in a tiny cup will run you $13. The atmosphere is okay, the venue is set up very oddly. It was kind of a maze. There is a cute outdoor section. There were also three "stages" which were kind of hidden through a hallway with a "bathroom" sign above. The overall vibe was a little grungy. Not sure this would be my first choice of venues for another event. read more

Fantastic Spot For Das Bunker Events! SITREP This venue location used to be the "Catch One". Then it shut down a year or two ago The Catch One was the home for the FAMOUS, and INFAMOUS German Industrial DJ-Dance Event & Concert Showcase "DAS BUNKER", so many of us were sad when the Catch One closed down, unsure where any regular - or even irregular anniversary special events - would be hosted. THE SETUP As it turned out, under new business ownership - and after a $1 Million interior & structural makeover - "UNION" arose from the ashes of The Catch One, and this venue location once again opened it's doors to some fantastic dance events, including Das Bunker. INTERIOR The front bar area that you walk up the stairs and land into is quite more spacious,, beautiful, with a much more contemporary bar. The Union still boasts it's main ball-room dance floor upstairs - for the large EBM dance-parties and a large stage for the music acts to perform on. The Retro-Room on the ground level is a lot of fun, with the DJs performing behind a cage (giving it a little SNL Blues Brothers vibe!). And then there is the Power-Noize Room that still features his regalness DJ Franck H-Bomb (Huyghe), the founding DJ-Promoter of Das Bunker! He makes a LOT of noize that is a LOT of fun! NEW PATIO! There is also a HUGE outdoor patio with lots more seating, a patio bar with everything, and a place to get food as well! Great LA Venue! Always has a great music variety too. All events are on the site and posted on their walls out front. Solid drink selection and the bar tenders are always accommodating. They always fix anything that gets broken promptly. So it's not being run down or forgotten about. Security is always helpful when needed too. They also just opened a new huge music hall! Highly recommend getting a Lyft or Uber there and back. Parking is limited even with overflow parking. Also less headache by not driving there unless you really have too. read more

I've been once club is pretty decent. The music is good and the people behind the bar are very friendly However, I have to say that the security is really bad. There was a lot of violence going on in the club and security wasn't really on top of it at all. Also, I recommend getting and uber or having someone give you a ride because the parking is shit. They have valet parking, but it gets filled up quickly and the surrounding neighborhood is known for car jacking. read more

Worst venue I've ever been to. Sound was good but that's about it. Went to see my friends band play last night and I had a dslr camera- I went up the steps and security told me no, I asked nice if he minded I take a few photos for the band, I'm with them. I snapped a few shots, maybe 5, stayed to the side of the rail and out of the way and the guy shoved me on my shoulder and told me to gtfo. Same dude who said it was ok. I WAS ON STAIRS AND HE SHOVED ME. I didn't want to get roughed up in the pit while looking at my camera and not being able to see around me. He coulda said no if he didn't want me there. I didn't force his hand. I took like two flash photos from the top of the stairs and from the balcony- maybe this irritated him? Well, there was a lot more flash photography there anyway. Lighting was horrendous otherwise I wouldn't use flash. A regular small can of beer cost about $10, card only, no tab. No parking and any nearby lots are $25 to park. This place sucks, I'll never come here again no matter what band is playing. read more

I was excited to spend NYE here, especially since Dubfire was headlining. The lines were fairly quick. We got inside in less than an hour. Coat check was easy, everything was smooth sailing actually. I feel like this venue is HUGE. Multiple rooms with different variety of music. Multiple bars in each room. Lots of room overall. I am giving Union 3 stars 'A-OK' because the sound system and the visuals are, well, there aren't any. It's really basic almost warehouse/underground production. Even though I ended up losing my jacket, by having it stolen everything about the place itself was sweet. I'd come back if there was another dj I really wanted to see. read more

Tried to rent this place when it was mid transition from Catch One to Union. Glenn was my original point of contact, then signed the agreement and made the deal with Steve (Mitch's dad, I think Steve), then his son Mitch decided to pull the plug during my event when hundreds of people were lined up. We already had an agreement signed, a deposit paid, and when we got there the week of the party Steve was "on vacation" Glenn no longer had authority, and Mitch stated we were never put on the calendar. After we had already promoted, etc. Because renovations weren't done, they didn't have the electricity to support our party and the other party they planned to run later that same day. When the other party arrived to set-up and seen the line around the block, they acted as "Security" and literally pulled the plug on our event. Mitch, Steve, Glenn, Jeremy, all shitty business people that I would never trust. And they kept all of my money (4k). Fraudulent thieves. read more

I went last night for OGUZ. The parking attendant was friendly and helpful. They do have onsite parking but it's not the largest lot so get there early. Parking was $15 I think. They have multiple rooms going on which is nice. It took us a little time to understand the full layout. Plenty of restrooms as well. My only problem is the workers. Last night I had walked up to a worker asking her if I leave am I allowed back in and she grabbed me and said I can't go back in... All she had to do is let me know that there is no re entry but forcing me to exit is crazy. We were there for 4 hours already so I ain't even argue it just decided to leave. On my way out I heard a few other people had the same problem with that worker. read more
