Category 10 in Nashville was definitely a cool place to check out. Honestly, I can't say a whole lot about it because I didn't spend a ton of time there, but the decor throughout the bar is absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail is impressive, and the bathrooms might have actually been my favorite part--they were gorgeous! One thing to know before you go is that this isn't really a typical dance bar. It's much more focused on line dancing, so if you don't know how to line dance (like me!), you might not get as much out of it. That said, it was fun watching everyone who knew what they were doing. Overall, it's a unique spot with a great atmosphere and stunning decor. If you're into country music and line dancing, you'll probably have a blast. If not, it's still worth stopping by to check out the space and experience it for yourself.

Monday and Tuesday review so you know the weekend would be way better. Dead. No line dancing. Few people downstairs and upstairs. Chill rooftop view overlooking the Cumberland river. Average band up top on Monday. Tuesday band was okay but they were playing for nobody late Tuesday evening. Staff at the door even said head upstairs Dude said his dad played fiddle for kid rock sometimes but talked more about wanting some Taco Bell from across the street. These three were pretty decent. I don't know why people were not there. It was cool to watch the boats come in and dock on the Cumberland. Just overall not much action. Closed at midnight on Wednesday just as we were headed in after a concert.

This is a big venue with a different vibe than smaller places in the area. We had fun with the crowd for a while, then moved on. Service was nice just slow and spotty because the venue is so large. Worth popping in for a line dancing class.

Great place to learn to line dance. I got the steps down, then it sped up with music, I was just lost in laughter! We ate at the Sports Bar on third floor, I had the Tofu Rice Noodle bowl. Great options for everyone.

This was truly an amazing experience and I 10/10 recommend this spot if you are looking for somewhere with great free line dance lessons, music and drinks. There were also kids on the dance floor and the servers were amazing. You can also buy souvenirs here!

The food was decent and the atmosphere was really good. They had line dancing going on while we were there, which made the experience fun and entertaining. We started with the duck fat fries -- they were okay, but in my opinion they needed a little more than just parmesan cheese for flavor. The wings were definitely the highlight though. We had Luke's family recipe sauce on the wings, and they were flavorful and cooked perfectly.

I went for an event/concert and it was so warm with all the people they really needed to turn the air conditioning on more. Then I had a spot 3rd floor balcony that was supposed to have waitress and she showed up hours later, we went to the bar which was slammed. It seemed they didn't have enough staff or properly staff for a full venue event. When our waitress did show up I did ask for a water and we never saw her again, never brought the water or came back for when we needed another drink so we again had to go to the bar for our drinks. Going to the bar wasn't an issue but they were so packed and not the friendliest. Food I got a side a fries and the pizza rolls. $17 for the pizza rolls and I think $8 for side of fries is completely ridiculous. Overpriced and truly horrible unfriendly service, I was expecting better. Venue for a show itself is great but service/food and prices don't equal up to getting your moneys worth and quality you would expect for price.

Hands down my favorite bar I visited during my stay in Nashville! I loved the free line dance lessons. The instructors were easy to follow and it was a lot of fun. All of the bands we saw there were great and many took requests. The food was delicious. The ranch flight is a must! I visited multiple times throughout my trip and I will say that service and experience will vary. Our first night we did not have friendly service but the line dancing drew me back for another visit and Shayla was AMAZING during our dine in. Definitely a must visit.

Cool spot! We had the rooftop reserved, which included 2 full bars, a stage, plenty of dining areas and an open floor for dancing. Food was good. Bartender was very nice! Rooftop has a nice night skyline view Take the elevator, because the rooftop is about 4-5 floors up. Many different levels that have a stage for live performances. Come visit!

3 ? Why? Category 10 was hands-down my favorite spot in Nashville. I ended up here three out of my four nights in town--that's how much I enjoyed it. The rooftop bar had live music and plenty of space, though it was more laid-back with fewer people. The real action was on the main floor where 200+ people were out line dancing. It was incredible to watch, especially with the mix of a live band and DJ, plus a top-notch sound system and effects coming down from the ceiling that added to the show. Even though I don't know how to line dance (wish I did--I would've jumped right in), I had a great time hanging out. Between the drinks, friendly crowd, pretty girls, and awesome music, this place delivered the full Nashville experience. Honestly, I don't know how this place only has three stars on Yelp--it was easily a five-star experience for me.

Drink in a booth, Jeremy got to enjoy the show !

Veteran Friendly Location! The team at Category 10 was wonderful! The hostess made sure my husband had a booth with his back to a wall. This a a veteran friendly bar. Our waitress Paityn had outstanding customer service! We will be back for sure!! Thank you all so much for showing us a great time, much husband absolutely had an amazing time!

Great good but service can be iffy at times simply because it doesn't seem like they have a lot of staff working tables on the rooftop. Always had good food and great views

Meanwhile, the other members of my group, all around the same age and carrying valid IDs, were able to order drinks without issue. As an Asian customer, I left this establishment believing I was racially profiled. I was singled out, denied service despite presenting valid identification, and never given a legitimate explanation for why my ID was supposedly unacceptable. Since the incident, I have found multiple reviews from other customers of color describing experiences that raised similar concerns about profiling and disparate treatment. The entire experience was humiliating, unprofessional, and unacceptable. There are plenty of businesses in Nashville that can verify IDs without treating customers this way.

There was no live music available at the time, but they did have a DJ which I thought was spinning the turntable rather well. It's my bad that I didn't also catch on that his is basically a Tequila Bar, rather than a more general craft cocktail establishment. Judging by the well stocked bar and the word of our waitress, other alcohol and their associated craft creations are available, but it's pretty much off menu and not well into our waitress' repertoire. And yes, Cinco de Mayo was just a few days away. One member of our party just wanted a soft drink, which was not possible that night as their CO2 was down. That did make me wonder whether the non-alcohol drinkers had much to chose from here. I suppose we could have then wandered over to the Redemption Bar at Chief's? Anyway, we're not Tequila Drinkers, and since other drink options appeared to be guesswork, we left towards more traditional mixed drinks (and live music) at a nearby Printers Alley bar. This was a rare night that I really wanted a craft cocktail in a smooth environment, and in the end it just wasn't the same.
