Once again....hit it out of the park! Came in with my mom and boyfriend for dinner on a Saturday evening. I decided to have the portabello burger again and am glad I did. I know I should try something else, but this item is just perfect! My boyfriend had the pasta special and raved about it. After having calamari and warm bread, he wasn't able to finish his dish. He took most of it home and had it the next day. He said he liked it even better the next day after the sauce flavors had had a day to soak into the noddles. My only caveat is that we had to ask for bread. Not sure if it was an oversight of our waiter, but I know during my first visit it was brought out immediately. Till next time! read more

This is the real deal. There is so much great food in Hearldsburg and this was a favorite. Fresh farm to table - YES REALLY. The pasta is homemade. The sauces are some of the best I've had - you can tell they are made fresh. I could have been in Italy. They had me at the grilled bread with the Burrata and Prosciutto. Fantastic. The butter garlic pasta was amazing, we asked for al dente and it was PERFECT. The Lasagna was delicious, fresh pasta and great sauce. The rabbit dish we had was what I found the most interesting - almost always when you order rabbit they try to hide the rabbit flavor - this dish sang. It was beautiful. BRAVO! read more

We made reservations & were seated on time. All of the staff was very friendly and our waiter was awesome! We ordered the spicy calamari, 10 layer lasagna, spaghetti with clams in a white wine sauce & the hangar steak. We also had a couple different glasses of wine & the chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert. Everything was incredibly delicious! We have been to Italy a couple of times & love spaghetti with clams & having been looking for something similar & this has been the only restaurant that makes it similar. For my birthday dinner we took a ride out to Catelli's, a DDD spot I have been wanting to try for a long time. The place is very nice, and the service was great. My ONLY complaint was ordering Chicken Parm without the polenta and still got it soaked in polenta, but whatever, when you order stuff special sometimes it gets messed up-take note grouchy Yelpers. But we still had a great dinner, the place was romantic, we got a corner table. And oh my, the Meatball Sliders - just as good as advertised. I can tell my gf loves me, because she only had one and didn't split the third with me. I honestly would come back JUST for this appetizer. My gf had the spaghetti and clams, and there were so many clams I don't think she finished it! All topped off with a delicious molten lava cake thing, which was a great mix of chocolate and ice cream. Awesome birthday dinner, keep up the good work! read more

Amazing meatball sliders where the meatball is the star and the bread is not even needed. Pasta was pretty good and the drinks are strong and mighty, lol! Need to come back for the lasagna everyone was talking about (after we ordered of course). It will feel like you're lost, but keep going.. its there! Nice ambiance and an upbeat crowd. After seeing this restaurant was featured on Diners, drive-in and dives we decided to take a nice afternoon drive and give it a try.. I must say if I had just been driving by I wouldn't of given this place a second look.. We tried the following items: Meatball sliders for an appetizer. Best meatballs ever! Raviolis were outstanding Lasagna was out of this world And to top it off the molten lava cake was accompanied with ice cream, whip cream and salted caramel sauce and was OMG amazing... This is for a review for a dinner from late September. It was a fantastic evening. The back patio dining is magical. The black and white floor tiles surrounded by green lush landscaping really makes it a special place. It is an ideal venue for a reception. The food was also delicious and I can't say how pleased I was with the whisky sour. It was perfectly crafted. I was with a party of 7 adults and share for two people of the bill after tax and tip was $180. We had 2 Michael's pasta and a few shared appetizers and a couple drinks. read more

A nice setting in a little town. Everyone who we engaged with that worked here was very friendly, professional and accommodating to their guests. The restaurant was packed and also quiet so you could hear a conversation--a great combo. I didn't think the food was consistently good. The DC marinara is outstanding, but it was downhill after that. We had the meatball sliders and the meatball ravioli with meat sauce and butter and garlic. The meatball sliders would have been great except for the large chopped onion that still tasted raw. The ravioli was also undercooked and not very flavorful, and the meat sauce had large slices of garlic. We also ordered garlic bread, but it came out at least 10 mins after our ravioli so it was disappointing in timing, but was very tasty. It was packed, however, so worth a try, but I suggest trying different items than we did. read more

This spot is a MUST for a lovely dinner or quieter lunch while wine tasting in the Santa Rosa area. The location is in "downtown" Geryserville, which looks sorta like a sleepy western town that is slowly starting to revive. There is only street parking and boy is it "anything goes" and informal, but if you can find a spot of dirt to park your car then you're good to go for a few hours! There is no real waiting area in this restaurant, so be prepared for that if you have a group; you will be standing outside in the middle of a busy bar area while you wait for your table. But that's probably the only negative. The wine list is spectacular (I mean, it IS wine country) and the combination of traditional and new Italian dishes will make it difficult for you to decide between familiar comfort food and tantalizing, adventurous offerings. I had the entree special that evening, which was a rabbit ravioli. It was superb! I started with a beet salad, which was fresh and tasty and just enough to tide me over until my entree arrived, and finished off the evening with a pot de creme-type dessert. Everything was adequately portioned and none of the flavors were too overwhelming. One thing to note is that we did have a vegan in our group and their menu was not vegan friendly at all, but the waiter did their best to suggest some dish modifications, when possible. Our service was excellent and prices were very reasonable for a well-reviewed Italian joint. I would go again and again... perhaps next time to enjoy their striking back patio in the sunshine! read more

What a delightful find! This was truly a memorable find -- my friend had the pasta with clams and I had a cesar salad and cheese ravioli. This is most definately "fit for foodies" and a local gem for those travelers who want to go where the "locals" go. This might be one of the few restaurants I've been to where I could have ordered 7 or 8 things off the menu, they sounded so good. My chicken dish was tops. Great wine list (no corkage if you bring a bottle from 128 Winery up the street). The bar is spacious, and the restaurant cozy for its size. The menu overall is California Italian. The service was great. The only reason this is not a 5 is that I need to revisit a few times to ensure consistency, but I would seek this place out next time we are in the area, no question. read more

I'm going to keep this review short and sweet and highlight three things that rocked my life. 1) Lasagna. 10 layers of super thin, incredibly delicious noodles with amazing ricotta, meat sauce, and mozzarella. THIS IS HOW LASAGNA IS SUPPOSED TO TASTE. 2) Spaghetti with clams. Let's just start by saying that their noodles are ridiculously amazing in texture--perfectly al dente and slightly doughy. Can't say enough good things about how well they do something so commonly overlooked. The clams were really fresh too. 3) California Carbonara. I don't really like Carbonara in general, but this really blew my mind. It is freakin' delicious. Super creamy but not overwhelming--it was really special. Easy 5 stars. I first went here back in 1975 when I moved from LA to Healdsburg. The atmosphere is updated but the eclectic blend of flavors are just as delightful a dance for the palate as it was my first encounter. Lately, I have been enjoying their outdoor dining as the Mediterranean walls feel like a hug, yet spacious at the same time. The seating is amply spaced, the staff is masked and all is well in this intimate setting. Consistency is key here - and it plays true at this fine Italian restaurant in food - good luck choosing as it is all delicious, staff - always friendly & perfectly timed, splendid soecialty drinks - I like the Tru lemonade made with fresh blackberries, and cleanliness - the importance of which is never to be underestimated when dining out. read more

We came in for lunch today and had to sit inside because we were told they had two bridal parties seated in their outside patio. Unfortunate for us since it is beautiful out on the patio while the inside atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired especially the seating. Our server was MIA most of the time. My friend's soft drink & our waters were not refilled, he never came back to ask how our meals were, etc. Speaking of meals, the ten layer lasagna at $26 was about the size of two decks of cards side by side and maybe an inch thick. Did not care for the sauce, way too much wine used in our opinion. Could not taste the goat cheese at all. No bread served with it or for the table. Very disappointing. The Burrata starter was good, $20 good. We will give this restaurant another try one day, but today our $55 lunch with one Diet Coke and a glass of water was a miss. read more

We've eaten here at least a dozen times over the last 4 years. The food is usually very good. My fav items are the clams/prawns/sausage entree, burrata starter, carpaccio starter and the truffle fries. What makes this place exceptional is the service and the ambiance. During our last visit (11/26), the hostess greeted us warmly and went out of her way to make sure we were happy with our table. Our waitress (Melanie) was friendly, attentive and professional. Yes, "as good as it gets". GREAT food, good service, lovely ambiance, convenient location, etc. etc. We enjoyed two glasses of wine from local vineyards which were delicious. Our Cesar salads (with anchovies, of course!) contained fresh greens dressed lightly. My spaghetti with Dominica's sauce contained fresh tomatoes and was seasoned to perfection. (My Nonna would approve!) My friend's pasta entree was equally scrumptious. Overall, we had a relaxing dining experience enjoying the setting, food and wine served with care.
