What a great experience!! We had just finished a tasting (which is also great) and needed some food. First off the views are amazing. Top 10 most beautiful winery in the valley. It's been warm so vines were budding early. Inside, everything is is well decorated and you can have a conversation without shouting over other patrons. The team of servers was fantastic. Great recommendations without being pushy. We had the Cesar and a pizza. Perfect for a midday meal. Ease up on the tech. I know it's expensive to hire folks to answer the phones, but putting techy and perhaps trendy obstacles between you and your customers isn't going to help your business. Long one of our favorite restaurants, and one I've favorably reviewed previously, we couldn't penetrate your apps and websites guarding the place to make a reservation to celebrate a milestone birthday. Your webpage has a dead link asking us to confirm we're over 21. It wouldn't respond and we couldn't proceed further. Next, your link via Google told us making a reservation was an unauthorized action and blocked us as well. So, we called. No one answered of course so we left a message. Despite the recording's assurances our call would be quickly returned, it wasn't. And not just quickly, but ever. But there is a silver lining here, we ended up trying another restaurant we'd been talking about for months. It was great. We'd be happy to come back to Rustic once the obstacles are removed. read more

Hours have been cut, and menu has been shrunk to include very few items. Drink menu remains huge - lots of profit margin there of course. We ordered Frito Misto, meatballs and a Caesar salad. The Frito Misto was a disappointment - soggy yet overcooked calamari - we left most of it on the plate. Meatballs and their generous portion of red sauce were pretty yummy. The salad was a salad. A solid salad, but still, salad. Cocktails were overpriced and passable. Prices (high) are definitely aimed at tourists who likely won't be in the area again, so it doesn't matter. But these two locals won't likely to return. Way too many great meals to be had literally down the road. read more

Ambiance was peaceful, clean, free of debris and relaxing. Food came temperature hot like I like it. Great food presentation, flavors were well balanced and food was scrumptious. Sadly, Rustic seems to be preparing to close down? We went up there for our annual family holiday meal and they seem to be actively attempting to decrease their restaurant business by: 1) reducing the hours it's open 2) reducing the menu to very minimal options. We all agreed that this is probably the last time we'll be there to eat. It's such a bummer too, as we have probably spent 15? years or more having wonderful meals and experiences there. We had lunch at Rustic inside Francis Ford Coppola Winery after some wine tasting and viewing of some Coppola film memorabilia (highly recommend checking this out). I made reservations for 1:45 pm but was 40 minutes early. The hostess had no issues seating us immediately and we sat outside to get a view of the Alexander Valley wine region. And though it was a pretty hot day, it wasn't so bad as there was plenty of shading and ice cold water going around. The house-made fries we had as a starter were very good! Hot, crispy, and seasoned with a little rosemary. We then both went with the NY steak which came with crispy potato wedges and asparagus. The steak was cooked perfect and very tender with some chimichurri sauce that gave the flavor a nice kick. The wedges were crispy on the outside but very fluffy on the inside... beautiful balance. Overall this is a great place to check out whether you're with a group of friends or on a date and everything in between. If you're a fan of Francis Ford Coppola then this is the place for you! A museum, restaurant, and wine tasting all in one! They also have a pool you can use if you're a member of their wine club! How awesome is that! We received fast and very friendly service, even when we were waiting for a table and stayed at the bar, the bartender was very keen to give us a quick snip it on trivia about the place. A good casual setting in the heart of Sonoma. Good for a date, a family meal, or just plain having fun with friends! Do visit the gift shop, they have some nice surprises in the store! Rustic is the restaurant on the Francis Ford Coppola Winery. Spacious, gorgeous restaurant with movie memorabilia adorning the walls. A pizza maker works the oven in the middle of the restaurant. Just outside the patio there's seating for wine tasting either nice views of the winery. We came here for lunch after wandering around looking at the Coppola collection of movie memorabilia and winery grounds - which is gorgeous with a big pool and even a teepee for some shade. The restaurant is Italian but it does bot have a dedicated kid's menu. Their American Wagyu Burger is really adult-sized and the meat wan't super juicy. Mushroom Pizza was thin but somewhat dry and flaky. It wasn't as good ar the one I had at. Doppio Zero in Concord, CA a few months ago which is true Neapolitan style. On the plus side I enjoyed the Sofia Peach Spritzer as a refreshing treat from a hot day chasing my energetic 4-yo son everywhere. read more

We've been to Rustic many times in the past. Always fantastic. Today was exceptional. I had the best Cesar salad on the planet. Ice cold bowl, crisp lettuce, perfect amount of dressing and croutons. Orechette with sausage & broccolini. Could have used a bit more greens. Excellent mushroom side dish. Only downside of entire experience is waiter didn't ask us for dessert or coffee. We went here for dinner and it was raining but I wish we could have had time to walk around the property. It's so pretty with the large staircase from the parking up to the restaurant Rustic. There is an elevator too. You enter the memorabilia room before getting to the restaurant. So many things to see but we were there right before they closed that area so we didn't have time to walk around. Will have to do that next time. Dinner was delicious and the waitress was superb! She was very attentive and took care of our party well. Didn't blink an eye when we requested separate checks too. Her service made the evening even more special. If you find yourself at the Francis Ford Coppola winery, you can't go wrong with a meal at Rustic! My husband and I came for lunch after a tasting upstairs. We had a reservation that we made online in advance, but it wasn't too busy on a Sunday afternoon, we probably could have walked in. The room definitely reflects the Rustic name and is reminiscent of an Italian trattoria - though maybe slightly elevated. We were greeted with some salted fried dough and an appetizer stick with an olive, meat, and cheese. We ordered the meatballs to start - these ended up being my favorite bit of the meal! They had beautiful flavors and the red sauce was wonderful! For our mains, we split a Caesar salad and the oyster mushroom & cippolini pizza. The salad was good, but nothing special and not worth the price in my opinion. The pizza was delicious and the truffle creme franche was a welcomed addition. We ended the meal with an affogato and a limoncello. Both were tasty, though the limoncello was over sweet and didn't really taste like lemon. read more

After a tasting flight outdoors, we fled the heat to an indoor lunch at Rustic. The service was excellent and our waitstaff made great recommendations. The zucchini fries are very good and enough to share. One serving could feed 3-4 as an appetizer. We chose the special of the day, a seasonal risotto, creamy with pops of sweetness from the corn and sweet bell peppers. Accompanied by a crisp glass of Chardonnay, we enjoyed a shared meal and had just enough room for a few bites each of panna cotta to end the meal on a sweet note. For lunch, the linguini with clams tossed with olive oil, onions and parsley is delicious! Sitting in the outside dining area was so nice on a clear day with tons of wisteria. We had a large group and the staff did a great job of ensuring our comfort and making the dining experience enjoyable. Here, you can stroll around the picturesque grounds and of course, take several photos. This location also has a bocce court and a swimming pool. Well, I'll start with the service was good. The food was not. We haven't been there for a while however the quality of food has changed the pasta didn't taste like pasta. The steak was horrible. It wasn't cooked right and then when we sent it back, it was reheated and it was even worse some of the food that they had there they no longer have very disappointed in the quality of food. read more

Made a reservation at Rustic onlinae with ease for a lazy Friday lunch, ambiance and views inside and out were great. We sat outside and had a bit of shade from the trees which was nice We arrived at 1220 for lunch, was seated promptly and given water to stay hydrated. Our drink order was taken at around 10 minutes after we sat, and as soon as wines arrived at around 1pm, we placed our food order at that time as well, and didn't see any food at our table until 135 which to be honest was kind of ridiculous. We had finished sipping our wine by the time any of our dishes came. We didn't order anything crazy, 5 items: 1 soup of the day, 1 special: mussel and squid bucatini, 1 chicory salad, 1 sausage and pea pizza, 1 carrot risotto. Food itself was pretty good, apart for the Chicory salad, 18 dollars for a pretty small salad. Wine by glass and bottle was of course great value if you order from the ffc range. They also have a full bar I'll come back, but hopefully they speed up their service next time read more

When we arrived at the entrance of this incredible estate, we did not know what we were in for. As you drive up this long, winding driveway you reach this set of stone steps that leads to the main part of the compound. You feel as if you were in Italy or in the scene of a movie. Once you reach the large restaurant, you can either sit in the beautiful dining room or as we decided on a beautiful fall evening, to sit outside on the patio. The views are breathtaking of the vineyard and the mountains. The service was absolutely incredible. There is a story behind everything that you drink or eat. First they start you off with a bag of these mini looking donuts, which is actually pizza dough fried and salted, our server told us that Francis's grandmother used to make these for him as a snack after two complementary bags I had to tell the waiter to stop or else I wouldn't eat anything else on the menu! We each did a flight of wine. My wife did the white. I did the red, each glass was incredible! All the food is fresh, delicious, and made on premises and the entire experience was just wonderful! We were in Sonoma for five days on our honeymoon, while there are amazing restaurants in the area, we wish we had gone back to rustic every night. There was also a beautiful gift shop where you can purchase olive oil and other items made on the estate, there is also movie memorabilia from some of Francis's classic movies. read more

Yesterday I had lunch here with my husband, our baby girl and a common friend. In general, everything went well! Food is good enough to come back another time. We took some fries, the Luigino Pizza, the steak and the lamb. Everything was pretty good, but the lamb was for sure the best main. The service was good, even though the waiter put some pressure on us keep asking if we wanted other food while we were still eating what we ordered. I tasted one of their Zinfandel and it was good (even though it wasn't my favorite kind of wine). The ambiance is nice and there is enough space for everyone, you're not very close to other tables. We have been coming here for years and their lunch menu has always been a highlight. We went today and they have permanently "streamlined" their menu. This means- no more grill (with exception of one option from prix fix menu)!! No pork chop, grilled half chicken, branzino, etc!! So bummed as they have a great grill and everything was exceptional. Now, be prepared for 3 pasta options, 3 pizza options, one Caesar salad, and 4 appies. Best: meatballs, Caesar, rigatoni with meatballs, all pizzas are good. Pesto had a weird fishy taste (all 6 of us agreed btw). Still a stunning spot, but definitely not the elevated experience with food options we have had in the past due to lack of the grill. A Geyserville Classic! Rustic by Francis Ford Coppola serves up some amazing food and wine. I've done a few wine tastings in several of the tasting rooms on the Coppola property, but just recently starting dining at Rustic. Not sure why it took me so long to finally dine here, but I'm so glad that I did! My friend and I stopped by for dinner after doing some wine tasting in the area, and they were able to squeeze us onto their patio without a reservation. We lucked out as this restaurant stays pretty busy. If you can, I'd highly recommend making a reservation in advance. Their patio has great views of their surrounding vineyards. Service was very attentive from beginning to end. My friend and I both ordered the New York Strip Steak as this is her favorite dish to get when she comes here for dinner. Geezus... the steak is pure dynamite!!! First of all, it came beautifully plated and smelled absolutely wonderful. It was served atop of seasonal vegetables and a lightly spicy Romesco sauce. My steak was perfectly seared and cooked to a perfect medium. It was so juicy and flavorful. Unfortunately, my friend's steak was overcooked the first time around, so she sent it back. They did deliver a new steak that was cooked to her liking. It's Coppola, so you already know that the wine is amazing here (and if you don't know, go you need to pay a visit to the actual winery to experience it). Had to indulge in my favorite Director's Cut Zinfandel. Although I didn't pair the steak traditionally with a Cab, it was still a beautiful pairing. Can't forget to mention the bread! It's the most addictive thing not this here earth. If you're coming here, you MUST ask for the bread. It's complimentary and worth every single calorie and carb. They're like little warm and fluffy Italian donuts. Just oh so good! They brought a little bag of them over to us and I swear that we almost fought over the bag! So damn good! Yeah, Rustic is a really good time. If you're looking for a wonderful dinner in Geyserville, you can't go wrong with Rustic. read more

One of my favorites places I love to take friends and family to is right here, it just doesn't get cooler then bringing them to see Francis Ford Coppola Restaurant and the museum with memorabilia from his movies, plus you can do a wine tasting as well. I always ask to be outside with a view of the Roses and the vineyards it is just a spectacular view we never tire of. We love their Florentine steak it just melts in your mouth and with a Juicy bottle of J Cuvée 20 it's a party in your mouth lol the weather was perfect low 80s with a slight breeze it was a gorgeous day eating another beautiful dinner here no wonder why we just keep coming back again and again it does not disappoint. Great food and service, I love the views from the terrace. The food portions are large enough to share family style. The prices are a bit pricey, but to be expected, being at Coppola's. We ordered a seasonal risotto, skirt steak, baby lettuce salad with stone fruit, Uncle Mikey's sausage sandwich, and cavatelli bolognese. The sandwich wasn't too exciting or spectacular. It was only sausage and peppers served on a roll. But, the cavatelli bolognese and risotto were so good, the cavatelli pasta was house made and aldente the bolognese sauce felt like I was eating at a Italian mother's home. The risotto was loose and delicious and creamy like it is supposed to be. The salad and skirt steak were very delicious too. The setting on the terrace was the highlight. Me and the wife decided to have lunch here since we were here wine tasting. We didn't have a reservation and was informed the system went down so they weren't taking any reservations at this time. They were nice but a little disappointing since there were plenty of open tables. However they do serve the full menu at the bar. We sat there and ordered. The bartender was great. Took our order right away. The food was great. I got the chicken mattone and wife got the salmon. The food was spot on. Surprisely we were able to get a reservations on a Friday evening at the last minute. Mine main appetizer choice was going to be the mozzarella and the little bread donut things they bring out. I was so disappointed to learn they don't serve the mozzarella alone anymore. You have to get a whole charcuterie plate type thing. The bread was still good. For my drink I ordered what was called a Pimm's cup. Drink was refreshing and not too strong. For my dinner I was debating between the risotto and the spaghetti carbonara. I went with the spaghetti. The carbonara had chunks of either ham or prosciutto in it and I loved it. They definitely were not skimpy with those chunks. My husband and I shared the Chocolate mousse (plenty to share). We've been to Coppola many times and stopped going for a bit because we felt that it started to go down a little but I think this was was one of our better times there. Food, service were all good. Enjoyed wonderful meal on a very quiet evening. Literally only 8 tables were occupied, all on the patio during a marvelous warm late May evening. The big indoor dining room remained empty. Bad for business this evening, but enjoyable quiet and peaceful for us lucky few. In short, The spouse and me had a 4 course meal that was delicious, down home Italian, served with grace and good vibes. I gained a renewed appreciation for Coppola wines. Rustic is the name of the restaurant at Francis Ford Coppola Winery. After wine tasting, we had a reservation on Open Table for lunch at Rustic. The menu isn't large but it does have a nice variety of food to choose from. We ordered: Pizza Luigino: Tomato, mozzarella, oregano, and basil. I really liked the dough and simple ingredients. PIZZA FUNGHI E SALSICCIA: this was mushroom and sausage pizza. I liked this one even better than the Luigino. Who doesn't like some sausage and mushrooms on pizza? Cheeseburger with zucchini fries: zucchini should always be cooked like this. Because this is the best way to eat zucchini in French Fries form. The Cheeseburger was solid but probably my least favorite of the food we ordered. But this doesn't mean it wasn't good. Rack of Lamb Madame Bali: Marinated in pomegranete juice and white onions for three days, then grilled. Served with rice and carrots. This was excellent. Grilled rack of lamb was seasoned perfect and charred wonderfully. I will order this every time I come to Rustic. The service and staff were great. The food came out in a timely manner. There really was no bad experience at Coppola Winery except that they ran out of 2XL Godfather shirts. Other than that, great restaurant at a great winery. read more

The service was great but the menu has been disappointing! Sooo overpriced and limited options. The Fritto Misto is greasy and no where near worth $29. Rack of lamb for $60!!! Are you kidding me? Can't get a burger in the restaurant. They changed the fries, not nearly as good as they used to be. Zucchini fries are gone! No wonder the place is dead. Don't think they know how to advertise. Excellent food and service! We were so hungry after the wine tasting (which is right next to the restaurant) that we were ready for food. We had reservations and were seated right away. 10 stars for the breathtaking view of the winery. The patio is gorgeous, well maintained and clean. Our server was very attentive. A good variety on the menu - chef's specials, salads, pizzas and burgers. I had the cobb salad. It was made with fresh ingredients and had everything you would expect in a cobb salad. My husband had the hamburger with fries with all the add-ons (bacon, mushrooms and avocado). It comes with zucchini fries, but we substitute it with potato fries and ordered the zucchini fries appetizer. Everything was very delicious. Obviously the wine menu was filled with Coppola's wine. It was a long list and had everything from champagne, sparkling, white and variety of reds. I had the blanc de blanc champagne. It was perfect with the salad. High recommended! read more

Staff are knowledgeable and attentive. There's also dinner and a show. Good times in Geyserville, super hot in the Summertime. I couldn't wait to rush back to the fog. I have fond memories of this place when the kids were little. I brought them here in the Wintertime for hot cocoa + create your own mugs. First off, we are in the wine industry so know the ins and outs of this tumultuous wine/restaurant business in Sonoma County. Happily, we are grateful that this restaurant, despite the changes in ownership and changes, we had a most fabulous, relaxed lunch on the terrace this afternoon. So much so, we were there for just about 4 hours. The setting is just tranquil and beautiful. The food was lovely and, well, several bottles later, the wine was just fine. Renee, our waiter, was attentive, and ever so kind. Ask for him or Nathan. We had a truly wonderful afternoon. Our only 'complaint'? Please open back up for dinner service, even just for the weekends, and please, put the cheese burger, lamb and pressed chicken BACK on the menu. read more
