The grounds here are absolutely beautiful and our server was incredibly nice! Social media definitely hyped this place up a bit more than what we actually experienced, but it was a perfectly fine visit nonetheless. They're known for their monthly rotating wine slushy flavors, which look gorgeous in person. We tried a few: the cupcake flavor was a bit too sweet for me, and while I'm not usually a huge fan of blueberry, the raspberry was definitely the standout and the best of the bunch. Overall, the drinks were pretty, but the flavors themselves were just okay. To make sure we weren't drinking on an empty stomach, we ordered the fries. They tasted good, though the sea salt they used didn't really adhere to the fries well, leaving most of it at the bottom. All in all, it's a stunning spot and I'd definitely give it another try in the future with the hopes that the next month's flavors hit the spot a bit better! read more

We came for the slushies and stayed for the views. Chateau Diana is a cute winery in Healdsburg with beautiful grounds. Not only can you enjoy a flight or two but you just may find something fun in the store to take home with you. Ryan was helpful and accommodating. We checked this out because my friend was pretty stoked to have me try their wine slushy. I was also very excited, so we gave it a go. The area this is in was cool, you get a view of all the trees if you go to the patio area. We were given a menu and had the slushie. It was, meh. Unfortunately, I really did not like it. Unfortunately, our experience recently at Château Diana was very disappointing. Today was my 26th birthday, and after driving about 40 minutes with my mom, boyfriend, and friend, all I wanted was to enjoy a glass of wine, take a few photos, and celebrate. I also broke my foot and ankle five weeks ago, so getting around hasn't been easy. I completely understand that businesses can be understaffed, and I genuinely sympathize with the employees working hard. However, we felt dismissed rather than welcomed. Even a simple acknowledgment, kindness, or explanation would have gone a long way. Instead, we left feeling like we were an inconvenience. We've been here a few times before, and understand with more popularity, there is going to be more demand. I remember making reservations in the past for free, but now you can barely find a winery that isn't trying to sell you on their tastings or flights or to join their wine club and spending $40 just to have a table with probably the same customer service. We ended up taking our business to Aesthete, right down the street, and I'm so glad we did. If you're looking for a winery in the area, I highly recommend spending your money there instead. They warmly welcomed us as walk-ins, the staff was genuinely kind, the property is beautiful with a peaceful creek and friendly animals to visit, and they truly made us feel like valued guests. They completely turned my birthday around and gave us the experience we had been hoping for. This is another instagram worthy place. The drinks were good and looked picture ready. The food was bland but also picture worthy. The service was ok but not worth a 75 dollar tip. I had directly sent this to the tasting room team, but never got a response. I never wanted to bring this here, however, due to our experience here is our review of this winery. When we first arrived, we immediately loved the property and the views that it overlooked. We were very excited for our tasting and came in with a very positive attitude. As we entered the building, we were confused on where to go, so I had announced to the staff that day that we had a reservation at 1pm. There were about 5 staff members all standing there, and it immediately seemed odd when I had said we had a reservation, we were immediately given looks. I am unsure of anyone's name who helped us that day as we never were introduced properly, but the gentlemen had waved us over to the register at the bar top. To say thank you to our host/wine educator of the day for helping with our experience, I had brought a bottle of wine from the winery that I work at to show my gratitude. However, the gentlemen helping us looked down at my arms and asked in a negative tone, "What's that?", and I felt very thrown off. I explained that it was for our wine educator/host the day, to which he said again in a negative tone, "Yeah, well we don't allow outside food or drinks." I explained to him again that it was a gift for our host for the day, and he then didn't respond, perhaps some confusion around this as well. He continued asking where I had booked the reservation, unsure if he was under the impression that we had not had one, even though we booked it through the tasting room team. As we were being seated, he explained, "We are normally very busy and don't have time to walk through the wines with you." This is completely understandable; however, it felt like we were unwanted at this point. When we received the wine list, he continued to ask what wine we typically drink and after hearing our preferences, he began explaining all the wines on the list that he didn't like. Transparently, he was very negative about most of the wines, which we thought was very interesting for a tasting experience. We also told him that we were very excited about the wine slushes, a major point to us wanting to visit the property, to which he responded with, "I wouldn't recommend you guys getting that, you won't like it." He was kind enough to give us samples of the slushes, but we felt very awkward and decided to not order them. We stayed the full hour, because again the views were amazing and we wanted to enjoy some of our time there. As we were nearing the end of our experience, we overheard another table ask for a different glass of wine due to sediments, and the same gentlemen responded with, "We aren't known for our hospitality here." Again, we were just overhearing this, so we are not sure if this was in a joking manor or not, but after our experience, it continued to make us feel uncomfortable. When we said we were done, I had been under the impression that we had the 2 complimentary wine flights, as I had reached out prior to Bianca and this is what was said, and we ended up paying $50.74 for both flights including the generous 20% industry discount. This could've been my misunderstanding, but I didn't want to bring it to anyone's attention as we were already having a poor experience. I do want to note that the other gentleman that we ended up giving the wine too was very nice. Unfortunately, he also did not give his name, so I am not sure where to give my gratitude. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place. The views were amazing, you just don't treat anyone like that. Always choose kindness! read more

Chateau Diana is one of the more kid friendly wineries I've had the pleasure of visiting in Sonoma County. Our last visit was for the free Easter event put on by Chateau Diana, my friend and I stopped by with the kiddos and had brunch and slushees. Total party of 6. 2 adults and 4 kiddos. The Easter bunny was a total hit, interacting with a kids and had the best energy! We did get to the egg hunt a little late so most of the eggs had been picked already. This didn't stop staff from going above and beyond for the kiddos that missed out which we appreciated. The face painter they had was so talented and great with the kids, (I even exchanged contact info with her in hopes to have her at one of our corporate events). There was one other vendor on site selling cookies that the kids loved. Staff was friendly and attentive but busy keeping up with the demand (it was a busy day!). We ordered two brunch platers for the kids and just enjoyed our Easter drinking champagne and watching the kids play. I often forget that kid inclusive wineries can also be fun lol. Am I missing something? Took my family from out of town here because they wanted to try the slushies. We frequently go wine tasting all over Sonoma and Napa county. I understand this is different kind of place. The slushies were fine. Very sweet but we specifically went here because we had some non wine drinkers in the group. The ambiance wasn't very good. Looks like they have nicer seating area based off their online photos but we didn't see it. We had a party of 9 and they had a few high top metal tables pushed together on a small patio. Service was fine. The food was absolutely terrible. I was actually embarrassed when they brought it out. This is where I chose to take my family for lunch? With all the amazing wineries and food options available here?$30 for some frozen apps they stuck in the toaster oven? That are literally thrown on a paper plate with a plastic cup full of cheap nacho cheese sauce? Chips with Tostitos salsa dumped on top. What?! Look on their instagram. Nothing looks even remotely close to what we were served. I wish we had pics of everything else. We spent $600 here and can't even get a real plate. Crazy. To top it all off we weren't paying attention that the gratuity was already included and ended up accidentally leaving a $155 tip. That's on us but just made the experience that much worse. We were in line and were completely ignored for a long time and had to get our own menus while the white family behind us was immediately greeted and given menus. We were in Healdsburg for a birthday weekend and wanted to try something unique such as the drinks at this place! Of course Wine Slushies are unique but the Sparkling wine and Cotton Candy topping is definitely what I wanted to try after being tempted by looking at some pictures. Those are all high chairs by the way, and I did have my kid who doesn't walk yet so all this while I had to keep holding on to him which was a little too much given the heat! We were referred to this winery by a girl at the front desk of where we were staying in Calistoga. This winery was smaller than I expected but has beautiful trees, plants flowers around. There was no seating that was in the sun when we arrived (it was cold and windy!!) but right when we were about to leave, the management offered to open up the back patio for us and it was game on! This place is known for wine slushies, i noticed alot of young folk enjoying those. I personally like just the classic red wines so ordered the red flight and also the pinot that ended up being like a rose'. They have a taco truck on site and i ordered 2 plates of the carne asade tacos that came with slices of potatoes as well! The view of the vineyard across the street is beautiful and we enjoyed our time here and ended up getting the bottle of 707 Zinfandel. Honestly, the slushies were disgusting, it made me sad. Definitely a younger vibe/crowd at this winery. We did some wine tasting in the area and this winery was by far my favorite. Especially if you're a fan of sweet wines. I've been recommending and visiting chateau Diana for many years now and always love the relaxed unwinding vibes that the entire property embodies. From the adorable custom parking spots titled things like "love" or "time for wine" you are greeted by a smile before even leaving your car. Inside is a adorable store front with lots of nick knacks and goodies for any wine enthusiast and ironically, a lots of engagement type gifts, such as bride to be or doomed groom. Out the back is a lovely patio that overlooks some beautiful Vineyards and offers a very casual winetasting experience. This place is known for its wine slushy's that are an absolute treat during any of the summer heat, but most surprising and exciting for me. Was there addition of hot apple cider, and a mulled wine that we're both nice and toasty on a brisk autumn day. (Can't decide? ask for samples!) I consider this place a must stop and see, especially because it is so much more casual than many of their environments, and allows you to truly relax, unwind, and smile without the price hikes and pressure! If you're into white wines, wine flavored slushees and champagne this is the place for you. The gem of this place is definitely their wine slushees. No other place is doing it quite like this. Every couple of weeks they switch up the flavors and this week they're featuring peach mango, watermelon and grape. Not only are the flavors cool but they also give you cute toppings of candy and/or edible glitter which gives those slushees an extra pop! But the fun doesn't stop there..they even have good music and great snacks like pizza and sandwiches to chow down on. It was the bee problem, the service and the confusion for me. We came in anticipation of a great time but it was not that. They did mentioned they had a bee problem but knowing many people came from far to come try their infamous slushes you won't turn away because it took a good 2 hours to get there. Anyways the area and drive up is really nice.
