Chocolate chip cookie

The owner greeted us right as we sat down. Multiple servers tended to all through breakfast. The food was just right. I ordered scrambled eggs, hash browns, and toast. My husband ordered an omelette. The restaurant was hopping for a Thursday morning. The tables were clean. The service was the best. We definitely want to try lunch and we will be back.

WOW!!!! All I have to say. The staff? AMAZING. I've been doing Army training since 5am in the snow and was struggling to stay awake so I stumbled in here hoping for a cup of coffee and everyone was just so warm and charming. Thank you for the delicious cup of coffee and the best red velvet cookie I've ever had. And thank you for your support as I really needed a pick-me-up and this place did just that!

Wow!!! This places has earned all of these reviews!!! What a fabulous diner!!! We loved our experience here. We came for breakfast and we were greeted and seated immediately. We were treated like we were the only ones in the diner. We asked about the menu and we were impressed by the selection and variety on the menu. We loved every bite of the meals we ordered. Scotty even came around and spoke to us. He told us some history and we had some laughs. Very impressive man!!! The diner was small but full of tables. It felt like family. I would eat here often if I lived in the area. It was a wonderful experience for all of us.

Okay wow I was a Scotty's virgin until yesterday (if you say this in the restaurant, you will get called out on it lol), but my only regret is waiting so long to finally make it to this cafe!! They have breakfast and lunch all day every day, and Gina came over to explain the menu to me and give me a run down on their most popular dishes. Scotty himself walks around greeting all of the guest and even had the whole cafe sing happy birthday to someone dining in. He seems to know everyone and greets you like an old friend. We had a reservation for our large party and we had two servers take care of our table. Food comes out insanely fast, like I had just placed my order and the rest of the table was still ordering and my food was already on its way over. This is truly a quick and convenient dine in food spot! I ordered the French toast and it was delicious, they make the bread in house every day! The Reuben is their most popular lunch sandwich and they also have a variety of fun dishes like latkes on the menu. You can't go wrong at Scotty's cafe, I understand now why this is such a Columbus staple!!

Scotty's Cafe & Catering by Scott is located on East Broad Street near Bexley. It's a cozy family owned restaurant. It has to be one of the top famous places to eat in central Ohio with big servings of food at inexpensive prices. Everything is made in house from scratch and their desserts look absolutely delicious. I was too full to try anything more than the, French Toast, The Reuben, The Schmoozer and Gabbie's Tuna Melt. Anything you order is sure to please and the diner has this super cool and nostalgic 1950's - 1960's vibe. Scott and Gina are absolutely amazing people and so is their food! If you haven't been, it needs to be on your bucket list!

What a lovely find! We picked this place for its proximity to the airport and great reviews and we were not disappointed! Food: Our party of four enjoyed a chicken salad melt, chicken salad and macaroni salad, bagel and a roast beef sandwich. All food was fresh and delicious. I especially loved the macaroni salad. Ambiance: The restaurant is not overly large and has a variety of seating options. There are some cute paintings on the wall. Service: Excellent and friendly service! Scotty the owner was there and stopped by to chat! Will make it a point if ever back in Columbus will stop by!

While passing through Colombus, my wife and I stopped here for lunch based on YELP (and Trip Advisor) reviews. This place is special! It was packed on a Tuesday afternoon with lots of happy customers. The staff at Scotty's is very outgoing and greets everyone! My wife had a bowl of Chicken Potato soup and half a corned beef sandwich for lunch. I had a Roast Beef Melt and potato latkes. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend Scotty's to anyone in the area!

WOW... I was blown away with this place. The decor was really cool, which gave the place a casual yet upscale vibe. The service was off the hook amazing. The staff is super friendly and really wants to see you satisfied. Scotty, the owner, even stopped by the table to check in on us. The food was awesome - I had the Ruben with their potato salad - the sandwich was great, but the potato salad was awesome. Wifie had a greek salad with chicken, which she loved. The place is awesome and well worth a visit.

Scotty is one of our favorite places! The food is amazing and the service is even better. We told our waitress we got engaged and she brought us a little cake. I have gotten to know the staff and they always remember me when I come in.

Came here for breakfast and everything was good ! Good customer service and food. Scotty himself made sure we were doing well. I got French toast and it was very tasty! My husband got the home fries and pancake and he said it was great! We will be back !

Freaking amazing little cafe. Service is very quick and friendly, even when the restaurant is full. Family atmosphere with a nice gallery wall of the owners' family. Latkas and Mac and cheese were lovely. Finance enjoyed his Greek omelette as well. Got some desserts and pasta salad to go. Will be back!

We we went to celebrate a friends 92nd birthday ( there were 12 of us )! Service was excellent and inviting! I ordered the latkes and $6 special, which was flanked steak, roasted potatoes and corn! The dish was very hearty and delicious! Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal as well! Scotty's Ambiance is a truly diners experience!

I was wondering if you or any local places around you hang local artist paintings? I am trying to get some of my work in restaurants to sell to raise money for St. Jude Children's Hospital. Let me know if you have any tips!

Additionally, having had a Goodman's Deli mile high corned beef sandwich when I lived in Cleveland, I had even higher expectations. Their most popular sandwich is the Reuben so I went with that. Katzingers did not meet them. When I arrived to pick up my sandwich I was shocked the line wasn't out the door to place orders before they closed and the dining room had maybe 6 people in it. There were about 6 to go bags on the shelf along with mine. When I mentioned to the cashier that I was surprised it wasn't busier, she said it'll be busier tomorrow. I said the day after St Pat's? No answer. Another not good sign in my mind. When I got home, the wrapped sandwich was bigger than my hand but not very tall. The paper had areas of grease which is a good sign for this sandwich. The corned beef itself was tender but there wasn't as much of it, maybe an inch high and 1/3 of the bread had no corned beef. I also could not taste the thousand island dressing. The rye bread was toasted but pretty soggy. The crust was mostly crunchy. The bread slices were paired upside down putting a narrower side a larger side against each other. There is not enough sauerkraut and it is not very sour. I was given the choice of a dill or garlic pickle but I cannot tell you how it was because they didn't put it in the bag. I expected this sandwich to have so much meat in it, I could eat for multiple days for $18. Again, disappointed. Maybe I should've gotten the deli sized version but paying that much for a sandwich... The inside of the deli is fun and it's obvious it's been around a long time and has been well loved. I wanted to like Katzinger's but since the price and the quality don't match, I cannot.

Every single one has been great! Tonight we got #57 Franklin's Kibbetz, which has homemade mozzarella and pesto and added turkey (bottom right). We also got #5 Mimi's Melody, which has their homemade tuna salad on grilled rye (bottom left). Next we got our favorite, #41 Phil Katzinger's Club, which has their homemade chicken salad, bacon, and Honeycup mustard (top left). Finally we got #3 Ari's Open Door, which had pastrami, salami, and cream cheese (top right). The service is also amazing - the workers are kind and even gave us free bagels tonight as they were closing! Must try.

The restaurant itself is somewhat small, so seating can be limited, especially during busy times. However, the space was clean, well-maintained, and the service was impressively fast. The combination of lox, capers, onions, cucumbers, and cream cheese blended perfectly together to create an absolutely delicious bagel sandwich.
