Food is always hit or miss, my croissant was really hard yet the chocolate came out like water almost. The baristas are always so nice which is always the saving grace of each trip I've had. It'll take about 7-8 minutes just for an iced mocha unfortunately. There's always a line and luckily they're getting business still. Food and drinks are okay but the service is very friendly. read more

Easy drive through option for a nice cafe and a unique interior that is commonly empty if you want to drink your coffee in a roaster environment. Interior can be a bit loud with the blenders and the small space, but it has some cool decor. Brought my son, bought a few drinks and some of the fresh baked cookies. Will definitely visit again. read more

Such a cool modern, kicked back, coffee shop in a small town. Pull up to parking spaces under the trees or to the drive through window and your greeted by such a welcoming...everything. Starting with ample parking and patio seating then walk into an inviting family room. All kinds relaxing causal, business, library atmosphere...I was impressed. Menus are very clearly hung high about your head and baked good displayed on the counters and in cases. Sandwiches are also available. I ordered a large, hot, dark mocha with 2 extra shots (YEAH BABY!) The young lady was very pleasant and my drink came out quickly. And yes, all espresso drinks come with a chocolate covered espresso beans...YUM!!! I don't know, what the heck can I find wrong with this place? Great little coffee house in Clearlake CA. Was looking for a Starbucks with WiFi when Yelp suggested this as an alternative coffee house with WiFi. Very local vibe, staff was very friendly. They serve standard fair coffee,espresso, tea etc., but they also have smoothies, ice cream, a selection of fresh salads, grilled paninis, homemade baked goods and Hot Dogs! That's not a typo, they have Caspers hot dogs and polish dogs. We arrived for lunch and to use the WiFi for a quick recap. We did not try the coffees but my iced tea and chili dog were both on point and the prices are about the same as the big chain coffee houses. Glad we found this place since I will be in the area from time to time for business. read more

The people at this coffee shop/cafè are just the best. They are always very welcoming and sweet. I've only been to this place a handful of times since I moved up to Lake County 7 and a half years ago. I have gotten a coffee drink every time I have been here and I got a breakfast burrito or something once. It was great and the drinks all have been excellent. They have great choices. I can't wait to have this covid-19 virus go away so I can go inside. I can't have dairy milk so I always usually get a coffee drink with soy. BUT they do have great haother alternative milk choices. I love the fact they have hemp milk as a choice. I am an avid coffee drinker and not many places that I have been to offer mucy when it comes to alternative milks outside of soy milk and coconut milk let alone offee hemp milk. I haven't been to the other location but I would definitely recommend this place. It's such a cute and awesome hidden gem in Clearlake and Lake County! read more

Dang this place has some good coffee! Their iced coffees are amazing and the blended drinks are also bomb. I like bringing people here because there truly is something for everyone. Coffee, Teas, Teas with Bobs, Smoothies, and some snacks. They also have a drive thru which is awesome for when I'm on the go. I highly recommend their iced salted caramel white mocha. Found this local gem of a coffee house during my first visit to Clearlake. I ordered a latte and they did not disappoint. One of the best tasting Lattes I've had in recent memory. The coffee was packed with a roasted nutty flavor. Not sure what type of coffee they used but it was well worth it. I will be back! Great job Catfish! read more

Love this place, I go here so much that when one of the guys that works here sees me pull up, he immediately asks if I'm getting my usual and starts making it lol. The prices are good, the employees are so sweet, and they blow Starbucks outta the water with their drinks. The line is always really long for a reason, this place is worth the wait. read more

I totally forgot to "check in" or take any pictures of this super cute little place so please forgive me! We were up in Clearlake for a family reunion last week and I was having "fancy" coffee withdrawals. On our way into town we passed Catfish Coffee House so I grabbed my daughter and the keys and off we went. Clearlake is far from "Fancy" which makes this little place HEAVEN!! The outside is nothing fancy but I did notice a drive thru window and it was getting a lot of use by what I assume were locals. We parked our car (make sure to roll up your windows and lock the doors. Rough neighborhood here), and ventured inside. SUPER CUTE! This place would fit right in Santa Cruz or even Los Gatos as its very hip, clean, and comfortable and serves GREAT coffee. Did I mention the customer service was excellent too?! I didn't catch her name but our cashier was incredibly friendly and had a great personality. Along with the typical drip coffee they had specialty drinks and house classics. We got: Quad Med. Late - smelled great Single Med. Late - Daughter said it was good Small regular drip - Mother-in-law is used to Folgers so she wasn't impressed (giggle) Large Café Mocha - YUM!!! This was not too sweet and not to hot. Perfection and hit the spot. The only thing I was a little bummed out about was the pastries. There weren't many to choose from and the ones they did offer were wrapped in plastic wrap so who knows how old they were. We grabbed our coffee and stopped at the doughnut shop up the street. Overall I would totally make this a MUST Stop if anyone's in the area. read more

Was at a weekend getaway at Clearlake and wasn't too excited about the long drive home.So I decided to treat myself with an iced mocha and The Catfish Cafe seemed like a cool spot. Was not disappointed! I got their iced mocha and chicken pesto sandwich. The iced mocha was not overly sweet and perfect for a hot day.The pesto sandwich was nice and gooey,served on a nice ciabatta bun. I liked the funky atmosphere with the bookshelf full of trinkets and their menu was easy to read. The staff were friendly and the bathroom was nice and clean. Paper towel dispenser may get jammed but just let them know and they'll help out. read more

This place was legit! First of all, I have never gone to a city or a town that had such nice and friendly people. EVERYONE in this county were sooooo friendly. Definitely loved that culture and atmosphere. Anywho, I ordered a large cup of coffee and their breakfast burrito. Their breakfast burrito was SOOO TASTY! They also had 4 selections of hot coffee that were extremely yummy as well. In addition to the hot coffee, they have your other iced coffees, fraps, etc. This place had a drive through as well, which seemed like a lot more people used than walking in. That was probably a plus for the locals and returning customers. The place had a nice ambiance to it. Definitely coming back if I am ever in the area. read more

This place was awesome. We found it whole on vacation this weekend because we were super disappointed with the coffee from the gas station. They have so many different things there and the people were super polite. I wound up having a milkshake and my husband had the salted caramel coffee. I wish there was one closer to where I live because they were sooo good! We even went the next morning in our way out of town. I got their hot chocolate that time-it was So creamy! read more

Sincere friendly service from the female barista. She gave us excellent recommendations. I chose a decaf hot caramel macchiato. The taste was perfectly sweet and satisfying. I have a low threshold for hot beverages. It was served at the perfect temperature for me to drink immediately. Overall a high quality tasting version of my favorite hot beverage. Starbucks doesn't compare. My husband chose the hot Mayan chocolate. The taste was balanced perfectly with sweetness and hot pepper spice. Definitely for a mature palate. I just came here for the first time this morning and I must say this might be my new commute coffee shop. The staff member was super nice and energetic and patient with me while I looked at the EXTENSIVE menu to figure out what I wanted. I decided to go with the hazy days. A classic vanilla latte with the twist of whip cream and a hazelnut drizzle. It was perfection and definitely a great way to start my morning. I absolutely love small town coffee shops. This one was worth the wait. Granted I ordered 4 drinks and went through the drive thru the staff was friendly and accommodating. The added shots of expresso in my caramel macchiato made it perfect. The Dirty iced Chai was amazing & the salted caramel white mocha was great as well. We did drive up, there was no line we ordered 3 drinks total two white mochas and a black coffee everything was good prices were pretty standard ordering went quick. I noticed a sign saying to pull forward after ordering but no one instructed me to so I asked was told yes pull forward and after sitting a car length in front of the drive thru for a minute or so I realized everyone else had parked would have been nice to know that's how they wanted it done lol. Also their equipment seems out dated that sucks for the employees and if I wanted a receipt hopefully they can join us in this century soon. I would stop here again the coffe was pretty good read more

I think it's safe to say I'm lucky I don't live in the area because I'd be here every morning. Most amazing drip coffee and the breakfast sandwiches are delicious. I've only been able to get the breakfast sandwich because they were waiting on a food delivery, which is understandable during this time! The staff are nice and I have just had a great drive thru experience every time! I'd totally recommend this place... food and drink are just delicious and SO cheap compared to everywhere else!! And in fact, in the last few visits, have generously tipped the old mill staff at minimum 20-25%. When I chose to give them $100 to cover the bill they accused me of not paying the last time...they at first refused then proceeded to tell me the truth...that the machine they were using the night I was accused of not paying was not working and they had encountered multiple problems with different patrons that night...and many other payments had not gone through. In fact, they said after that they were forced to replace the entire system. So I ask, if you knew it was your system...why would you then accuse a patron of purposely not paying the bill. I stayed to eat. I even tipped extra. But after I left, I realized the situation put a distaste in my mouth. Hopefully the server and mgmt learn not to blame a Patti for their bad machine/system. That was in poor taste. That approach made the food tasted mediocre after that. Next time I'll think twice before I choose to come again.

There was no soap in the bathroom and the sink and toilet looked like they had never been cleaned. I live by a rule I learned from watching Gordon Ramsey. If the bathroom of a dining establishment isn't kept clean the kitchen won't be either. This rule has served me pretty well I think. And this place was screaming food poisoning central. The two that worked there seemed nice enough but the pride they have for the place is completely absent. The menu they have in place looks good, but the cleanliness of the place completely ruined it for us. We decided not to eat. We still needed a stretch of the legs before getting back on the road so we were going to enjoy some fresh air outside on the patio. We couldn't even do that because it smelled like pee. And there was bird poop all over the tables. I really love to see quirky and eclectic places succeed, but this place has lost its pizzazz and needs to be closed down. How the health department hasn't done this yet is beyond me.

Castle Donuts has easily earned a spot among our all-time favorite donut shops. Are they decorated like some over-the-top social media donuts? Not necessarily. But honestly, who cares when they taste this good? Everything was fresh, soft, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The cinnamon rolls, bear claws, and apple fritters are HUGE! And the apple fritter? The smell alone had us hooked, and somehow it tasted even better than it smelled. I'd much rather have a donut that's simple on the outside and absolutely incredible on the inside than one that's picture-perfect but tastes like air. Castle Donuts gets it right where it matters most: flavor. If you're anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. You'll understand the hype after the first bite. We loved every single thing we tried and will definitely be back the next time we're in town!

Wonderful place, great atmosphere and very friendly workers. Wonderful coffee, smoothies, food and pastries. Most of which is either made when you order (sandwiches and other food) or the previous day (pastries). Free WiFi available as well. The service may be slower than your typical Starbucks but the quality and flavor make up for it in spades. You don't get a great view of the lake but there is a patio with tables and chairs that you can sit at and enjoy your morning coffee while you read the paper. Parking is a bit... odd, especially when you're leaving. You're better off turning around as the road behind the shop is an awful unpaved dirt road. Unfortunately, the Handicap parking spaces can get blocked by drive-thru. read more

I had one bad experience with the food and a rude staff member, but all other visits I was met with friendly smiling staff. One staff member in particular always offered to make my coffee extra sweet (since I said I hated the taste of coffee) after recommending which flavor might appeal to me best. Their drinks are good, and they offer very unique flavors and mixes. Though I'm not a big fan of the food, I do really enjoy their coffee. Their building is one of my favorites among the coffee shops I have visited too. They have fun art to look at, a computer available to customers for their use, comfortable chairs and couches, and a bookshelf full of books to read. read more

When we walked up the once cute landscaping on their patio area was unkempt and cluttered with old motorcycle parts. Walking in I immediately noticed the lack of cleanliness. There is just clutter everywhere. And it was covered in dust and grime. There are three tables in the place. Two of which were being taken up by people that weren't actually eating or drinking anything. The other table had a dusty Christmas tree sitting on it with no space to be used as a dining table. One of the workers was I guess just kind of hanging out with those people and the other worker was standing at the register. What I'm getting at is, neither worker was actively making anything for anyone that was currently taking up dining space for actual patrons. The space was so cluttered with stuff you would have thought it might be someone's storage space instead of a restaurant. The whole atmosphere of the place was just gross. I needed to use the bathroom as we were on an 8 hour road trip home. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. There was no soap in the bathroom and the sink and toilet looked like they had never been cleaned. I live by a rule I learned from watching Gordon Ramsey. If the bathroom of a dining establishment isn't kept clean the kitchen won't be either. This rule has served me pretty well I think. And this place was screaming food poisoning central. The two that worked there seemed nice enough but the pride they have for the place is completely absent. The menu they have in place looks good, but the cleanliness of the place completely ruined it for us. We decided not to eat. We still needed a stretch of the legs before getting back on the road so we were going to enjoy some fresh air outside on the patio. We couldn't even do that because it smelled like pee. And there was bird poop all over the tables. I really love to see quirky and eclectic places succeed, but this place has lost its pizzazz and needs to be closed down. How the health department hasn't done this yet is beyond me.
