I've been going here since I was a kid. I used to love this place. The catfish has gotten small. It seems to have more breading than fish now, but its still good. They also have all you can eat catfish, so if you have a big appetite...GO FOR IT!!! They have the absolute BEST hush puppies too! I love them. I could eat them all day. They also have a famous waitress name Pam. She's always happy, energetic and makes sure you're taken care of. I haven't had a bad dish from there, so I recommend it. read more

I love coming here. The servers are sweet as they can be. The food is great. They raise their own catfish for their restaurants. Not the most recently renovated place in the world, but if you ever start eating here you will be back. They have a lot more items than fish. Quite an extensive menu. I always get the catfish fillets with baked potato and slaw , but I've seen people order every from their burgers to jalapeño poppers. And DON'T forget the pickled green tomato's! They are the perfect complement to the fish. The hush puppies are the best I've ever had in my life. And for dessert FREE soft serve! Who does that anymore?! My wife and I joined my sister and brother in law for lunch on a Thursday. After reading the reviews I was divided as to go or not. The waitress, Pam was the spotlight of the entire place. With her southern drawl and "I'm so excited you're here" attitude made the experience much more enjoyable. At first it was, maybe it's just her way of making her day more pleasant, but as time went by, even the customers, and you could tell they were regulars, greeted us as they were leaving. Just goes to show you that ATTITUDE is contagious, either positive or negative. As for the previous review on the Asian Waitress, she was waiting in nearby tables, I made special effort to locate and watch her. With her slightly off English, she as well was very pleasant to the customers she was attending to. As for the food, most of us had the catfish while 1 of us had the chicken tenders. Catfish, as we were told, is Stock Pond raised in Mississippi l, was very good and nicely prepared. The hushpuppies were beyond that. The environment itself was pleasant with country music, which I can take or leave, put you in the proper mood. All in all, my wife will probably never forget Ms. Pam as she did make a positive and lasting impression on all of us. Thanks Ms. Pam for making our vacation and rememberable one. read more

A 5 score simply for providing items such as crawfish on the menu which you can't get in many restaurants. They also sell gator which I didn't try but is still pretty domestically exotic. I had the fried crawfish bites as an app and then the Grilled Catfish Caesar Salad for an entre. I had never eaten here before, but I'm glad I did! The catfish, hushpuppies, and pickled tomatoes were delicious. My child doesn't even like hushpuppies and she loved these! The food is always good here. I always get the steak and catfish combo. It's so much food that I always take it home. I eat the steak there and take home the catfish and eat it the next day. This really reminds me of (and very well might be) the place my family stopped at back in the early '80s, when we'd take car trips from Dallas to Nashville and back. My stomach is still getting back to normal. It didn't keep me from eating one of the hushpuppies served at seating. Very good. I ordered one catfish filler and white beans. Quintessentially southern. There's a joint like this in practically every town in the south. This was my first visit in many years....I haven't a clue why I waited so long! I had the clam dinner, white beans, slaw, and hush puppies. While I know there's not a guy back in the kitchen shucking clams to fry up and what I got was right out of the freezer but they were DELICIOUS. The sides we're ON POINT. The service was almost over the top friendly but Pam did a TERRIFIC job. My one and only complaint was the greet at the front door. Contrary to belief a spoonful of sugar does not make everything better. The food should have flavor and distinction based off its own unique flavors not everything sweetened with sugar. Cat fish was delicious. Lightly fried and breaded, perfect. Loved the white beans side, I would come here just to eat them again. they start you out with complimentary hush puppies that are pretty good but nothing special, they're also sweet so if that's not your thing you probably won't like them. Everything was hot when it came out and it came out quick. Prices were reasonable for good sized portions. Service was great, very nice and accommodating. Craving catfish so went there with my Dad while visiting the area. It was a great choice. The catfish was outstanding, not over cooked and not greasy in the least, flaky and firm on the inside with a nice crunch outside. The fries were also outstanding and I would point out that the fish tasted like fish and the fries tasted like fries, which is another excellent sign. The hush puppies were a step above okay, but nothing special. The okra was so-so at best, cooked well, but chewy and very bland. Nonetheless I will eat here again as they do catfish right! read more

We have dined here literally over a hundred times over the years but last week was our last time. My grilled fish was cold, and when I let the waitress know she took it back to the kitchen and brought it right back to me only to tell me the cook refused to make me another meal because "my fish was only cold because I put tarter sauce on it".
