Delicious food. Lots of options. Fast service. And friendly staff. My boyfriend is a catfish snob and he loved it. I also liked the calamari. Everything was good with reasonable prices.

Delicious doesn't even scratch the surface. I've been looking for a seafood homie and "hole in the wall" restaurant experience in Carrollton, I'm glad I stumbled upon it. Service was great, attentive, and very knowledgeable. Staff helped guide us through the menu. Food was out in under 10 min, and brought to our table. I love seafood and if you're looking for a lunch meal or something on the go, that's quick, tasty and cheap, then this is the place! They have seating inside, but it's also delicious to take home!

The staff is pleasant! The restaurant doesn't have the best decor it's kind of out dated. I enjoy the food once I dress it up. I order the 2 piece fish, and I make sure to get a side of season because there isn't any initially. It's definitely good for something quick.

Love the Catfish Poboy here with the purple onion. Yum Yum Yum :)...

Hubby & I LOVE this place. When we head to the Chinese Supermarket in Carrollton, we always plan our shopping trip around stopping in here for some cajun inspired seafood delights. First of all they have beer on ice & that's always nice! haha. We love that this is a "Quick serve/Self serve" Cajun seafood place that has amazing food & is a great value. It's a very casual hole in the wall kinda place in a strip mall, just like you would find in a small town in French Louisiana somewhere. OuiOui. The seafood is always cooked perfectly & the coleslaw is amazing. We love the coleslaw & fries here. Love that they add purple onion to the po'boys. Not on authentic NOLA bread but very very good french bread. Will Return. Highly Recommend.

Pleasant staff, very attentive. Good came out quickly and the place was busy, they got everyone in and out quickly. The food wasn't exactly seasoned to my liking, had to doctor it up a bit, but it was a nice place with a good staff so I would return.

Exactly what you would expect when driving through rural Louisiana except it's right here in town! Lots of locals, even sales people bringing clients in when I visited. I over heard the salesman tell his clients that everything on the menu is amazing. Great service and great decor to match the vibe. Catfish was perfect, thin and crispy like I love it. Poorboy we dresses perfectly as well. My only knock on the place would be they don't use traditional Poorboy bread, kind of a disappointment. However overall it's a true southern experience!

Order at the counter and they bring it to you. Be patient, Prepared to order.

If you were in Louisiana on a fishing trip and stopped at a small town catfish place, this would be it. Nothing fancy here but great food. Two guys who look like they would be just as comfortable renting you a boat, work hard to deliver really good food. The menu goes much further than you would expect. How about some fried tomatoes, fried pickles or frog legs. Salmon, tilapia and oysters are here too. There is a kids menu, Some TVs for sports are present but this is a fairly quiet room. No chicken or beef here except for buffalo wings. Enjoy.

Great find from Yelp. Saw the reviews and tried Catfish House for lunch. It's a big place, but was almost empty when we arrived. You order at the counter from an extensive menu. We went with the catfish fillet basket and fried green tomatoes. The fish was light, crispy and cooked perfectly. Fried green tomatoes were solid too. Fast, friendly service and reasonable prices. Nice place with excellent food. Highly recommend this place.

I got the grilled catfish plate with rice and grilled veggies. It was delicious! The fish was flavorful. The veggies were cooked well and the rice was sprinkled with fresh parsley. This place is going on my rotation list.

Do they have all-you-can-eat fried catfish? If so, when?

The lobster tail was a bit tough and overcooked, which is a waste. Mussels were good too. Garlic noodles were not our favorite. Corn and potatoes are good, but they're a bit stingy about it only giving you one of each. When your seafood boil is $70+, you should get more than one of each. The flavors linger in your mouth for a bit. It lingered for almost 2 days for me, but would definitely return!

Unfortunately, the service was questionable. Our server had difficulty communicating in English, which led to a costly misunderstanding. When we ordered crab, she never asked what type of crab we wanted and instead assumed king crab, which is significantly more expensive than other options. As a result, our bill was much higher than expected. To make matters worse, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill without it being mentioned to us beforehand. While restaurants may choose to add gratuity in certain situations, customers should be clearly informed so there are no surprises. My advice: enjoy the food, but be very specific when ordering. Confirm exactly what type of crab you're getting, verify the pricing, and check your bill carefully. Also remember that gratuity should be clearly communicated and not assumed. Better communication would have made this a much better overall experience.I'd rate it 2.5 out of 5 stars. Great food, but the service and communication issues took away from the experience.

A lady from behind the counter finally noticed us and directed us to sit at a certain table. Menu is on the table so she came by to take out order. There's not very many pictures to reference the size. The chef's choice sashimi platter range from $39.99 to $119.99. I had to pull up Yelp photos and with the help of the server, we ordered the medium platter for $59.99. As we waited, we were given a plate containing edamame and what appears to be fried pieces of fish skin. It was unexpected and tasty. The sashimi platter was fresh and contained a nice variety of fish and other seafood. I was surprised to see octopus and clams. It was served on a bed of radish, which I love, with sliced jalapeños and garlic on the side. There's no question the seafood is fresh here. They have tanks in the front containing lobsters in the front. The tanks are clean and there's no funky odors. This place is very traditional. Service was adequate. They have a self serve station where you can get your own water from a water cooler and additional silverware, sauce cups, and napkins. Took my niece here for a birthday dinner of her choice. It's right by Paris Baguette and she's always been intrigued by it. She thought it was just ok. Overall, I think it's a nice place to get fresh seafood but it's not a place I see myself coming back to.

Seasoning had real Louisiana style flavor, not too salty and just really good all around. Even the spicy is not actually that spicy, but it still has a lot of flavor. Okay so we walk in and it's immediate immediate sensory overload!! The menu is too much , the noise level is impossible. I couldn't hear myself think. The girl taking my order was asking me something but I could not hear her. It was too loud. You order at the counter, they hand you a number and then they bring out your order. I quickly did a scan to find the most far away spot from the noise in their patio area that is actually indoor. The AC was nice but the silence wasn't muffled for long as the ladies cleaning the tables walked in and left the doors wide open. I ordered a frozen Paloma. They just poured it in a cup- no rim. The Paloma was okay. It tasted a little strong but I guess that is personal preference. The food didn't take long to arrive. One by one. I ordered the shrimp boil spicy with corn and sausage and some grilled oysters. The shrimp boil was very oily. It looked like it was seasoned bud didn't deliver in heat. The shrimp were overcooked. The shrimp will tell you a lot about the quality of the food. They were large but too chewy. The grilled oysters were okay. Nothing stood out in terms of flavor. I tried the steak fries they are cooked well and unseasoned accompanied by a tartar sauce but the tartar sauce was too thin and was too acidic.
