    $59.99 Sashimi platter
    Tom A.

This is a small hole in the wall setup, run by the owner and a minimum crew. Similar to other Korean self-serve places in the area, don't expect much service. You do some legwork to keep the prices down. The place smells clean and the fish looks and tastes fresh. I ordered the $59.99 sashimi platter. It is a decent mix of fishes but that mix is likely going to change each week depending on the catch. Many of the seafood items are market priced and not clearly stated. So, be sure to check the price and the weight of the item you are planning to order first. In a similar place that offers live seafood, I normally follow the staff to the tank/scale and check out the condition and weight of the catch before committing to it. That way, there is less surprise when it comes to your table. I actually prefer previously frozen sashimi over live ones because some fishes are known to carry a large number of parasites that are difficult to remove. (e.g. Salmon)

This new establishment is great if you want to quickly get a sashimi platter. We did online order for chef's choice platter, medium size and a bunch of sushi rolls. The sashimi platter was amazing, the raw meat is top of quality and well packaged for to-go. There are some seats in the restaurant too if you're lucky. The platter also came with some soup for two which has the rest of the fish in it. You'll find garlic and jalapeños with the platter but no lettuce, though you can buy a pack in the shop for $9. The sushi rolls were a little disappointing; the rice tasted a little rough and old, and the imitation crab meat wasn't the best. However, we haven't tried everything in this little shop, there's lots crab options and even live octopus. It sure smelled great when we entered.

    Live gwang-eo

Live Gwang-eo is very fresh and price is reasonable ($70, M) and it's enough for 2 ppl. H mart sells $80-90 for minimum but here you can get same portions with cheaper and free spicy soup too which is small but it's enough after finishing raw sashimi because sashimi will make you very full already. Also soju is pretty cheap too. Highly recommended!!!!

So good!! The mild house sauce is delicious and not spicy enough to leave a tingle in your mouth,…read morebut full of flavor. The shrimp and snow crab legs were our favorites. The lobster tail was a bit tough and overcooked, which is a waste. Mussels were good too. Garlic noodles were not our favorite. Corn and potatoes are good, but they're a bit stingy about it only giving you one of each. When your seafood boil is $70+, you should get more than one of each. The flavors linger in your mouth for a bit. It lingered for almost 2 days for me, but would definitely return!

Went to Capt Loui for lunch and had mixed feelings about the experience. The food itself was great…read more The crab was fresh, well-seasoned, and definitely the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the service was questionable. Our server had difficulty communicating in English, which led to a costly misunderstanding. When we ordered crab, she never asked what type of crab we wanted and instead assumed king crab, which is significantly more expensive than other options. As a result, our bill was much higher than expected. To make matters worse, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill without it being mentioned to us beforehand. While restaurants may choose to add gratuity in certain situations, customers should be clearly informed so there are no surprises. My advice: enjoy the food, but be very specific when ordering. Confirm exactly what type of crab you're getting, verify the pricing, and check your bill carefully. Also remember that gratuity should be clearly communicated and not assumed. Better communication would have made this a much better overall experience.I'd rate it 2.5 out of 5 stars. Great food, but the service and communication issues took away from the experience.

Incredibly high quality cuts of beef, slow simmered potatoes, chewy/fresh rice cakes, and fresh delicious vegetables and green onions. The brown gravy/sauce was delicious. The small plates of banchan were both intentional and flavorful. Very good pickling on them. Service was very friendly and the ambiance was peaceful. Even though it was busy, people ate in silence and enjoyed their food. They keep it ice box cold, so definitely bring a layer if you get chilly! It was under $90 for the Galbi Jjim, which is actually a smoking deal. I can't wait to go back.

We also ordered sollangtang and both spicy and non spicy cold noodles. Boy there is something for everyone on the menu. There is even combinations which we will have to try next time. A bit of a wait for the food but totally worth it. We love that the utensils are in a box on the table and pitcher of water and cups are brought to the table. The food is amazing. Just beware, the hot stone items (bibimbap, sollontang) stay piping hot for a LONG time :) be ready to have a big block of time to have a meal here.

We went to Fish Tails Oyster Bar and really liked it overall…read more Fresh boiled crawfish was the best part. Seasoning had real Louisiana style flavor, not too salty and just really good all around. Even the spicy is not actually that spicy, but it still has a lot of flavor. Crawfish was solid, and the potatoes and corn were great because they were soaked in seasoning but not melt your face off spicy. Oysters were cold, fresh and tasted good, no issues there. Service was friendly and quick enough, nothing over the top but they checked in at the right times. Ambience is casual and pretty much what you expect from an oyster bar on a Tuesday evening. Not too loud, just easy going. Overall good experience. We would go back again.

I was skeptical to try because my favorite place in the entire world for seafood (Aw Shucks) is just accross the freeway nothing could ever be better so I thought. - and I was right. Okay so we walk in and it's immediate immediate sensory overload!! The menu is too much , the noise level is impossible. I couldn't hear myself think. The girl taking my order was asking me something but I could not hear her. It was too loud. You order at the counter, they hand you a number and then they bring out your order. I quickly did a scan to find the most far away spot from the noise in their patio area that is actually indoor. The AC was nice but the silence wasn't muffled for long as the ladies cleaning the tables walked in and left the doors wide open. I ordered a frozen Paloma. They just poured it in a cup- no rim. The Paloma was okay. It tasted a little strong but I guess that is personal preference. The food didn't take long to arrive. One by one. I ordered the shrimp boil spicy with corn and sausage and some grilled oysters. The shrimp boil was very oily. It looked like it was seasoned bud didn't deliver in heat. The shrimp were overcooked. The shrimp will tell you a lot about the quality of the food. They were large but too chewy. The grilled oysters were okay. Nothing stood out in terms of flavor. I tried the steak fries they are cooked well and unseasoned accompanied by a tartar sauce but the tartar sauce was too thin and was too acidic.
