I have been wanting to stop in and try Catrina's Tex Mex since it opened. I'm glad I did, it was yummy and hit the spot. Great quick lunch and prices were very reasonable. The service was good, you walk up and give your order at the counter, find a seat and they deliver it to you. We were on a late lunch but it was still busy inside and in the drive thru. Good space inside and looks like they are adding more tables. I recommend it for a light fresh Tex Mex lunch! read more

Catrina is straight up good!!! I have had several items on their menu and I'm never disappointed. It reminds me of a taco truck in a brick and mortar. I don't think you can make a bad choice here. Service is friendly and fairly quick. The food is fresh and the portions are massive. I usually end up with one of their burritos which are well worth every bit of your money. I ended up getting the L.A. Burrito that had steak, fries, beans, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. Topped it off with some fresh salsa and of course washed it down with a legit coke in a bottle. Cons: my friends always criticize this restaurant. But I personally have never had any problem with them besides the one time my husband and I came to eat here and they didn't have the heat on and all the staff were wearing big puffy coats because it was winter time. but today today I had a problem. I placed an order online and I paid for it. If I hadn't pre paid for it, I would've left. The order was supposed to be ready after 8:15. when I got there, they made me wait 30 additional minutes for my order. Which made me late for work. I was in Tulsa and was looking for some quick Mexican Food close by. After doing an online search, I tried this place for the first time. I ordered huevos rancheros. It was a nice portion for a good price. It was also tasty. There is a self-serve area with different sauces. Unfortunately, they were not all labeled, so I didn't know which was spicy and which wasn't. The worst thing about this location was there were lots of flies hanging around the windows. I switched locations to try to find a window with no flies, and I couldn't. Luckily, they stayed by the windows. So all in all, I would go again, but the management team should do something about the flies! read more

A hit or a miss! I've been to this location 5 times and ordered the same thing 3 of those times; hashbrown burrito with no cheese. The first 2 times, my burrito came out perfectly. Hot and fresh with eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, and no cheese. There's a significant wait in the drive through because the food is made fresh but, with those first 2 burritos, the food was definitely worth the wait. Today however, service in the drive through was quicker. I got my burrito in record time (about 8 minutes compared to 10-15). Got home and took a bite, happy to see my no cheese request was honored. That was about where my happiness ended. They somehow forgot the hashbrowns in my hashbrown burrito. But they didn't forget the eggshells. Big, small, and crunchy. She said the tacos were good and really liked their Horchata - said it was light. Besides the onion-cilantro mix on her tacos, there were lots of caramelized onions with her tacos. She didn't see the 3 taco and drink special until we were leaving. I ordered the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito [huge], one Pastor taco topped with a few raw onions and one strand of caramelized onion, and a lemonade. Taco & Burrito were good. [The photograph of the burrito with their plastic fork shows scale.] When I asked the order taker/cashier if any of the sauces at their sides bar had cilantro [allergy] in them, he said yes (he looked like he was just guessing). I looked at the 3-4 sauces and could not tell either way - disappointing. The mixed jalapeño & carrots were great, lots of limes available along with a tray full of mixed chopped onions and cilantro, bagged plastic utensils, napkins and little plastic cups for sauces, etc. read more

I've been to the one in Jenks and the one in Broken Arrow. The food quality is consistent and very tasty! We've ordered quesadillas, breakfast tacos, guacamole and chips, and breakfast burritos. All deserve 5 stars. The breakfast burritos are giant and can easily be split, making them very affordable. They have a breakfast combo that includes two breakfast tacos, hash browns, and a small drink. Also very adorable. If you like the authentic Mexican Jarritos sodas, they have those too! And a good salsa bar. The quesadillas are typical and the guacamole is really good. For atmosphere, the music is fun and the inside is clean. You order at the counter, and they bring it to you. This is their 5th Tulsa area location to open (7/14/23) and my first time to try. I tried the 3 Birria Tacos plate with consume and also ordered a medium salsa with chips. The tacos are fantastic! They were served with onion & cilantro, and also some fresh lime wedges and carrots on the side. I am not sure if the carrots were pickled with lime juice or if the juice from the lime wedges soaked in but either way they were a delightful surprise. They offered 3 heat levels of salsa. Mild, medium, and habanero. I like spicy but didn't want to blow out my pallette so I played it safe with the medium so I could still taste my other food. While I was waiting on my to-go order I overheard customers talking about how great the horchata was. I will have to try this next time. The lobby/dine in area was fast casual. You order at the counter and someone drops off food at your table when it is ready. I am glad to have a place with great birria tacos close and I will have to come back and try their breakfast offerings soon. read more

Have been to Catrina's several times (the location on Elm in BA). The food is typically good, though everything is a la cart, which adds up quickly, and the portions are not what I would consider generous. The service is just okay. Sometimes slow, never very friendly. Tonight the food was just okay as well. The chips, a small bag comes with the cheese dip, otherwise they're an add on, came in a grease drenched bag and were both cold and somewhat stale. We ordered a variety of tacos, which again, were just okay. Just really disappointed all the way around. Not planning to return. The next time we want to do carry out tacos, we'll try one of the local food trucks instead. read more

Mexican and Tex-Mex are my favorite foods. I've seen these popping up around Tulsa metro so I decided to try it out. Unimpressed is putting it lightly. The cashier was polite. I didn't care for any of the salsas and no, my go to is not picante. I got a steak and shrimp burrito bowl with chips and queso. The queso is a traditional white queso. It was the best part of the meal. The chips were thicker cut and made fresh. They were also good. The rice, meat, and guacamole were all extremely salty. The cheese conformed into a melted chunk I could've molded into a bouncy ball. I went to use the restroom before I left. The whole floor was covered in standing water. Gross. read more
