I had been wanting to try this restaurant because the name intrigued me. Finally went on a Saturday afternoon. We were politely greeted and told we could choose where we wanted to sit. They have a nice patio but it was too hot outside the day we visited. The menu was a little tricky as we weren't familiar with all the terms, but our server was happy to explain. We ordered the Enchiladas Verde with brisket and they were delicious! The bartender brought us a free Margarita Swirl sample to try and it was very tasty! Visited this place for the first time for Sunday brunch. Service was warm and friendly starting with the greeting I received when I walked in the door. They offered brunch specials but we ordered from the full menu. My chicken flautas were piping hot out of the fryer and DELICIOUS. My friends really liked their food (quesadillas and nachos al carbon). To top everything off, they offer a bottle of champs plus cranberry and orange juices for only $20!! To start off with this review the place reminded me of being in a Resort in Mexico. Let me get into the food and service five stars all the way. They're attentive the wait was not long at all. The chips are served with salsa and beans, the beans are very buttery and the salsa is just perfectly fresh. The state that they serve is well marinated and tender. First of all, our service was amazing which is one of the reasons it's a 3-star. The parrilada was good and had we split just that then maybe my review would be different. However, we spent a lot of money and it wasn't worth what we spent by any means. The shrimp quesadilla was subpar. When we ordered the kids taco I asked if it was ground beef which she told us it was. It was fajita beef so we paid $7 for a taco we could have made from the parrilada. My daughter doesn't even like grilled beef so she just ate her tortilla and beans. If we were to go back we would only order parrilada and not drink. read more

This little restaurant was a hidden gem before it got bought out by new owners. The grass wall with the LDE is no longer there. The service has also declined and the taste of the food is gone. We tried a few dishes and all of them tasted sour or bland. And if you don't eat the dish they will still charge you for it even if you they see you didn't touch it. The only thing that was kind of good was the mimosa bottle but they are room temperature.. we had to put ice in the mimosa :/ they also removed a bunch of stuff from the menu. I'm giving a five star review for the service of yesterday's lunch & the wonderful salsa that came with the chips. We had a wonderful bartender and server whose name I can't remember but her family was from Guanajuato Mexico. We had a great time drinking and having some food and they do have some good tequilas! The patio is wonderful shaded and heated if it gets cold. The shrimp soup and the caldo de res were good and so was the Pollo Chipotle special. read more

Went on a Saturday afternoon for some brunch with my family, we really enjoyed all our plates. I had some pozole and it had a very good flavor, I felt like I was at my family's house eating homemade pozole. My mom got the quesabirria with consome, and it was delicious. My sister got the chilaquiles and she said they had good flavor. We got coffee and they bring it in Mexican ollas, reminded me of my grandmas house back in Mexico. The coffee was freshly made as well. The cook came out and asked how everything was, he was very sweet. Highly recommend this new gem. read more

We went on Valentine's Day and there weren't very many people there, but I also attribute that to being around 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon. So on a whim, I looked up Esquina de Sabor on yelp to see if they had posole. And they DO! So instead of going to the store to make my gringa version of posole, we ate some actual posole here. And OMG IT IS THE BEST POSOLE I'VE EVER HAD. You really need to check this place out. The interior of the restaurant is super cute, and they also do birria tacos. Which I plan on trying. Soon. La Esquina Del Sabor is no more. After an interval, the location is now "El Taquero". I so love the guacamole, served on a banana leaf, and their crunchy, thicker chips. I added salt because that's what I do (!), along with the accompanying side chopped jalapeno, red onion, and cilantro. The entrees have been consistently tasty and tender. The chef/owner came by to touch base and ensure our enjoyment. The crema de queso is perfection!
