The barbacoa had a lot of grease, which I would expect to be very flavorful. It was somewhat bland. The pastor was really dry and probably my least favorite. It may have just been in the warmer all day or something. The carnitas wasn't bad. It was tender and the best flavor. Their salas were good. The green didn't have any heat to it and had a pleasant taste. The red one had a nice flavor but made me sweat a bit. The rice was light, fluffy and tasted food. The beans were beans... not a ton of flavor could've used some salt. Decent dining experience. It's in an older gas station. Not the cleanest place (not the taqueria's fault), but it wasn't nasty. Won't swear this place off, but not in a rush to go back. Service was fast and friendly. May have been an off night for them. There are worse places to eat.... The picture showed two Tamales, but it came with 3 which was nice, they came unwrapped, which I am not sure if when you order from a plate with other places that this is standard or not. The Tamales are pretty good, great seasoning and the majority of it was soft, besides the ends which were dry. Rice and Beans were not hot, luke warm at best, and I personally would not get rice and beans here again. Salsa is SPICY! I wish they gave us a green salsa along with this meal too. There are a couple other places I would prefer going in this area before considering coming back here again. If you do, bring some water!

This place felt unsafe…read more Near closing, a security guard argued with a woman by the exit and then physically pushed her and her husband out the door. Moments later, he turned to me and said, "I'll snatch that chip out of your hands and I'll drag you out of here just like I did that girl." This was said directly to me, unprovoked.At that point, we gathered our stuff and left because the situation had clearly escalated beyond anything reasonable or professional. Watching guests be physically handled and then being personally threatened by security was alarming. No restaurant experience should end with customers feeling intimidated or unsafe I called the restaurant the next day to speak with a manager about the incident and was told there was no manager or supervisor available. Until management addresses both the security behavior and the lack of accountability, I would not recommend coming here. Customers shouldn't have to accept threats as a part of dining here.
