Often times you walk into a salon and feel that the stylists are judging you (or is that just me?), but that is truly the OPPOSITE VIBE at Bow + Arrow. At the consultation, I was told they'd check their schedule and get back to me that evening. I even said that if it ended up being the next day, that was completely fine. Instead, I didn't hear anything until I followed up, at which point I was told there wasn't anything available for at least three months but that they were still trying to find something. After waiting another week, I followed up again and never received a response. I completely understand that you're busy and that your schedule may be full. What I find disappointing isn't the wait, it's the lack of communication. As someone who was prepared to invest both the time and money into this service, I expected the same level of professionalism and follow-through that was asked of me. Being left to repeatedly follow up without a response feels disrespectful, and unfortunately it has left a poor impression of the experience.

When we were finished the manager came to check her work bc I assume maybe she's newer (which is fine), but the lady had to redo all of my layers because they weren't done correctly. So we stayed much later probably until 9:30pm. Then when I got home I noticed that one side was way shorter than the other! I had to personally cut almost 2in off my left side of hair just to get it even. Now I know maybe she wanted to go out and felt rushed but it was not professional and I hope that if I go there again I get a better experience and that Amber pays more attention to detail to her future clients. I even asked her if she used 40 volume bleach because I could literally see the bottle when she poured it. On top of that: - Before my service even started, she used a bleach/color bowl that STILL had leftover color from another client in it. Huge sanitary violation. - During the service, she knocked over her entire tray, bowl of bleach, color, brushes, EVERYTHING onto the floor... then picked it all back up and CONTINUED USING IT. I am absolutely mortified. I cried to my husband over this because that's how devastated I am about my hair. It has taken me YEARS to grow and maintain healthy long hair, and now I'm dealing with severe breakage, frizz, mushy overprocessed pieces, and damage that could have been completely avoided with proper care and professionalism. Due to the extent of the damage and the corrective services now required, I will be exploring my legal options, including filing a small claims case for damages and repair costs.
