Cava used to be one of my casual dining go tos, but my last 3 visits have been awful. For the first two were long lines, little staff, and a messy dining room, but the food was up to their normal standard. Today, however, I was there around 6:30 pm. There was almost no line. Four people behind the counter and at least one more in the kitchen (visible through the window). Almost all of the containers on behind the counter were almost empty and things were not being refilled. I ordered a pita and after the dips were scooped on the pita, the young man behind the counter grabbed 2 spatulas to spread mine and the person after me's dips on their pita and he put mine directly on the service counter before using it to spread the dips. I then asked for harissa chicken (which still had what looked like a serving and a half in the container) and he called back to the kitchen to find out when more would be available-that person said 10 minutes, but he told me it would be "a minute." I order braised lamb instead. When it came time for the toppings, the woman that was working that station was inconsistent with how much she put on of each and then drowned the pitas in the requested dressing. She did not give us the option to dine in and instead asked if we wanted a bag with our food. When we tried to find a place to sit in the restaurant (where only one other group was sitting), every tabled was covered in grease and other food products. We decided to eat at home and the food left me feeling sick to my stomach. I plan to avoid this location for a while and I recommend that you do the same. read more

Normally I have a good experience at this location. I got an Harissa avocado bowl. They barely put any green or chicken in the bowl. This is not a cheap bowl at 15 dollars. I felt like I wasn't getting my money's worth. So I ask for more chicken. They said it will be the price of double meat. Then the amount added was still small. So I paid $23 for a bowl that I normally get for $15. I could have went to a restaurant and got a decent meal for $23. I don't mind paying but give me what I'm paying for. read more

Our favorite salad place. Food quality is excellent and prices very reasonable. Service can be variable. This time Claudia took care of us and was super helpful, kind and patient. Surprisingly she told us she cannot accept a tip which she very well deserved. We hope she gets compensated very well since I have had servers in the past at Cava that left a lot to be desired as far as their affect, patience and ability to understand English. read more

Cava has an amazing staff. Online order was delivered and was missing some chips and humus. Not the end of the world, but $15-20 of food undelivered. I call and the manager (Silvanna) feels awful. It's kinda late, but she insists on making it right. One of her staff (Nancy) drives the missing items+ a bit extra to make it right. Customer for life. And yes the food is awesome. This place is amazing! I love restaurants where you get to choose exactly what you want and customize a meal to your specific liking. Cava does 50% off discount for first responders and my lemon chicken bowl, a side pita bread and a large drink came out to $7!!! That's an amazing deal for the price! This Annapolis location has a lot of tables inside and out if you choose to dine there. They also do online orders for pick up and some apps such as Uber offers deliver! My husband and I wanted to split 1 pita. The unfriendly person who assembled the pita was very put off by this idea and made little attempt to keep 2 ingredients on separate sides of the pita. After it was assembled, he refused to cut it in half and we were left with something that could not easily be shared. This location needs to do a better job at training its staff. read more

I just want to start this review off by saying this Cava is in a nice location and is always clean... However, you do not feel welcomed by the staff at all. They make it seem like the customers are an inconvenience to them, and they normally don't talk loud enough to even hear them. This is not all the staff, but definitely a majority of them. Now on to the food. I give this location 3 stars because it is so hot or miss. You can go in one time and the food is all there and very well made, then the next time you go they will be missing items and the food will be poorly made or not fresh (Examples: Chicken being undercooked, rice being crunchy, lettuce being brown, etc.) read more

I just have to start out and say, I love the food at CAVA. The waiting time and customer service on the other hand is horrible. No, it's more than horrible. It's one of the worst waits I've had to go through with any restaurant or fast-food place I've ever been in. Listen, I understand that sometimes restaurants are crowded. There are long waits and long lines but this is just downright atrocious. My family and I had to wait a full hour just for the food to get ready. Yes, A FULL HOUR. And to top it all off the guy who was working there was one of the rudest people I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with. When my mom went to go ask what was taking so long the guy working there didn't care at all. He was super rude about the fact that we had to wait there too. Yeah, I know what you're saying. I should've just cancelled my order and refunded it. Well in the end I was the idiot. An idiot for waiting that long. An idiot because for every 5 minutes that passed I'd tell myself that the order should be ready soon. An idiot for walking in this restaurant and deciding to order from here in the first place. They are also always so friendly including Karina and LeLe, but everyone who is on the line! This is my go to place for lunch but today the person starting the orders behind the counter was beyond unprofessional. Went over my order when he asked me, then he put in gloves and then asked me again. Then after getting the bowl, he turned around and asked again and I said splendid greens and he said splendid green but out the wrong one. Got upset about the order being wrong green and had to start a new one when I said something. Then when for the order right , the rep said something under his breath. Look. The verdict is still out on this location, but for now it's just a fail. I love Cava and couldn't wait for this location to open as I recently moved, but after going through the line, I could tell these folks need to be a little more Cava seasoned. So I ordered my bowl and a drink, get to the counter and get wrung up, and ask for a receipt. I was charged an extra dollar for the honey harissa chicken, so I told the cashier I ordered just chicken. This lady proceeds to hold the bowl up turn it all types of ways to make my chicken honey harissa. I'm saying to myself do you think I'm lying? If I didn't want the bowl so bad, I would've just said take it throw it in the trash if you want. But it took a constitutional amendment to get the dollar back. I guess something's wrong with their machine. But after sliding my card about 15 times, I had to settle for a cookie instead of the dollar. But the act of thinking I'm lying about a dollar when my total check was 13 something anyway was just like hmmm. I'll probably go back only because I live Cava and was happy that there's one in Annapolis, but if I gotta get used to this kind of treatment, I may have to get used to not eating Cava if this is gonna be the usual treatment. read more

Stopped in on a day that they were doing training so I was pleasantly surprised to get a free meal! This was my first time at CAVA after hearing great things from friends and it did not disappoint! The employees were very friendly and I loved my food. I got a bowl with the chicken & lamb meatballs which were both good. The food is always good at whatever location I visit. This Annapolis cava, the customer service is horrible. For Annapolis, I was very disappointed and shocked. I had a young lady who served me but seemed very uninterested in helping me. I asked her for pita chips and she brushed me off and had a bad attitude. If there is a higher up or owner of this store reading this , your employees NEED customer service training ASAP. I asked if there was a wait for pita chips or were they out completely.
