Cava is the move, my friends. This brand new location is popping. The service is spectacularly fast, and no matter what you get you can't go wrong. I love the baby spinach, white rice, falafel, crazy feta, and yogurt dill sauce. Lovely location for a new CAVA, right outside the Rosslyn metro station. The staff is friendly and the food is great as always. I gotta Grain bowl yesterday with Basmati rice, eggplant red pepper dip, Harissa sauce and falafels. I was feeling good but the meal was heavy and really greasy. I've gotten this bowl before but the last few times, the quality's been noticeably different. This time around I felt really sick right after I ate it. I was feeling nauseous all day and had to have some juice cleanse at night to feel better. Rosslyn needs more vegan options other than salad places. read more

I like CAVA, I work in the area and was so excited when this location opened. My very first visit was wonderful! The portion was nice and the food was good. The place is clean of course (new) and the staff are pretty friendly. I would say I pick up CAVA about 3-4 times a month and always order the Grains bowl. I started to notice my last couple of visits I was getting less food. The first time I noticed it I figured maybe it was because for my protein, I selected the seasonal veggies instead of the usual chicken. But then the time shortly after I ordered the exact same bowl and noticed again that my portion was even smaller :(! I really like the food here but the inconsistency in the food portion is a HUGE disappointment - especially since the price is consistently $10.31. read more

Giving this 4.5 stars on the same level as pineapple and pearls or minibar is not. 3.5 is what I would give them due to it just being another fast casual rush to get you in and out. Nothing special. Cava in general has started to give less food in the bowl than they used too. Such a shame, I remember a couple years ago I'd only get maybe 5 ingredients and it was packed densely into the container. Now it seems like it's just over half full. They hardly put in any rice at all. The employees are simply following orders because it happens at every location now, which I totally understand but I think corporate needs to allow more rice to be added with no extra cost. If you ask for a little extra rice they warn you about an extra charge, but why!?! Rice is so cheap and why not charge extra for asking more of the expensive ingredients? I can ask extra tomatoes and extra onion and those don't have extra charges, so why make rice have extra charge? Just seems annoying. Food still tastes good and healthy. read more

If you haven't tried CAVA - go. By far my favorite up and coming restaurant for a quick, good quality meal with fresh ingredients and nice variety. Can't say enough good things about this place. When you can purchase their dips and dressings at Whole Foods, you know CAVA is doing something right. I've never had a bad experience and I love trying different combinations. I can't complain, I really like this place! What a great addition to the Rosslyn area. Being a pescatarian, I really appreciate seeing falafel on the menu as a protein option. I was so pleasantly surprised that you could get half veggies, half falafel which is perfect for someone that can't make a decision and loves variety. The seasonal options are great and I look forward to the variations that will come once it's turns fall. The bread is so good. One thing I dislike about sweetgreen next door, is their bread! It's really bad but I like a little carb with my salad thank you, and this place gives me just that. I'm full and satisfied leaving here- only wish there was ample seating- always have to grab and go because of how packed it always is. Finally!! Cava right next to my apartment!! I have been waiting for this to open since ages. I tried the new spicy apricot sauce which is absolutely amazing! It's a must try for sure. The pita bread is fresh and soft. I'm a die hard fan of the red harissa sauce! I LOVE Cava Grill, and this is by far the best location in the DC area! Don't be deterred by the long line - the staff are extremely efficient and it moves very fast. The staff also go out of their way to be friendly and helpful and to keep the restaurant clean. They remember people's names and faces and their orders. I mean, what other fast casual employees do that?! Cava Corporate - if you're reading this, please do something special for your employees in Rosslyn! They are truly exceptional! My go-to order is brown rice and lentils, crazy feta, harissa, grilled chicken, roasted veggies, pickled onions, banana peppers, cucumber, feta, couscous, crispy pita strips, fresh mint and lemon with Sriracha Greek yogurt, green harissa and vinaigrette dressings. Very good food! But what stands out more is super nice people who work there. I cannot eat gluten, dairy, or peanuts. Angel Martinez walked me through all the options they had and pointed out from memory which items I could and couldn't have. Plus he gave me free samples since it was my first time at the restaurant. At so many restaurants I have to deal with a lot of grumpiness and impatience from workers who are annoyed with my questions about food. I love Cava. One of my favorite restaurants. Food is great but for some reason this location is really skimpy with the protein. My normal order is chicken. The one who does the scooping always pull back when scooping the chicken causing half to always drop back. So instead of a full scoop you always get half. Basically at this location, their 2 scoops equals 1 scoop. Really disappointed. Thought it was the server, but I am starting to think the managers are telling them to do this. I've been to this location about 10 times now and all the servers does the same. I just want what I paid for. read more

I went to this place on a whim during a work trip because it smelled so good even out on the street. It was just as good as I had hoped (and smelled)! I liked the speed of ordering and I thought the to-go bowls were generous. I spent a little more money for the slow-roasted lamb as my protein and was not disappointed in this decision.
