Scene: 2:30 pm on a Thursday afternoon. I thought I'd give this place a try later in the afternoon because the first time I tried to eat here a couple of days ago at 12:30 pm, the line was crazy long. Today, success, there was no one in line but me. So I placed my order which I wrote out in preparation for my previous visit. When it came time to add my toppings, things got a little weird. I first asked for some pickled onions. "We are out," said the worker. "Ok," and I moved on to my next topping, "I'll have the cucumber tomatoes." He proceeded to pick a few scant pieces stuck to the bottom of the nearly empty tray. I commented "Really?!" because I could reasonably see that I would not get the full serving of that topping. Did he think I would not notice? Who was he kidding? He just shrugged his shoulders and we moved on. I asked for a different topping, and he said "We are out." At this point, I'm a little ticked. I asked him if I should wait while they made some more. I mean, there was no one behind me, and the store was still open for several more hours, so... why not? He turned around and grabbed from the fridge fresh batches of that item and the cucumber tomatoes (the ones he tried to muster from thin air just a minute prior). "Ok," I thought, "we are getting somewhere now." So I asked for the next topping on my list and he said "We are out. What you see is all we have." Seriously?! How horrible is that response! This is not how an establishment is supposed to be run. If a restaurant has workers, and it has prepped food in the refrigerator, and it is not set to close for another 7.5 hours, and it is not crowded, there should be NO EXCUSE not to fill the order that I placed. The food tasted ok, but I imagine it could have tasted better if (1) the items I truly wanted were in my bowl and (2) my faith in our American work ethic was not so beaten down. I'll probably only come back here to give this place another shot if I get bored of the dozens of other restaurants in this area. I have options. Lots of options. read more

This place really struggles. Food quality is inconsistent, lines are crazy long. Always out of stuff. Customers don't seem happy. Once a few more options open up in this area this place will need to step up its game. I hope it can, I like the concept. read more

This location is not up to the Cava standards were used to. Staff was not friendly, just very robotic. We couldn't add rewards points for this visit because they couldn't add using our phone number. We paid for drinks, but they were completely out of tea, and the other drinks machine was also broken. We tried to get a refund, but they "unfortunately can't do that". CAVA is the only fast food spot I can go to that will leave me feeling nourished and satisfied while loading up on a bounty of veggies smothered in their delicious garlic sauce. Apparently I'm not alone, because this location is BUUUUSY, busy, even at 2 pm! I see a lot of complaints about the mobile orders taking forever, and yes, that's true. I ordered for 1:30 pm pickup and had my food freshly handed to me close to 2 pm. With that said, it's truly not the workers' fault as the demand and constant flow of in-person orders versus online orders is a true beast to battle. Some of y'all never worked in the service industry, and your lack of understanding and compassion shows! Knowing this, I think it would be safe and smart to order ahead with the expectation that you should not go to get your food until 20-30 minutes AFTER your estimated pickup time. Gotta work with it or else the system works against you and your hungry tummy! I will also note that despite this location being absolutely slammed, they prepared my order exactly as I ordered (no missing toppings) whereas the Domain location is so much slower and ALWAYS misses a topping or two (boo). 5/5 for DT Cava! read more

I had a chance to visit cava after hearing about it from a few friends in LA, and was excited to give it a shot. This place is kind of like a chipotle but a much much better version and more Mediterranean vibe which I absolutely loved. I got the bowl with basmati rice with chicken with babaganoush and hummus and tahini with all these yummy toppings I can't remember. Overall the bowl together came together well and tasted well. I got a tahini sauce and a lemon vinaigrette which was delicious. This needs to open in the Bay Area because it's so good! read more

I've had great experiences in past CAVA's. Not so much this one. I placed an online order 15 minutes before entering the store. I get there and it's not ready - that's ok. After noticing that incoming customers are getting their order done before mine which had already been placed, I go up and ask. I get told it'll be a while, after a total of 45-50 minutes I finally get my order. Chubbier lady should learn thats it's ok telling the ordering line to hold on while making online orders based off time stamps. Wouldn't come again. read more

Brenda was so patient with me and so helpful in telling me the things I could and could not eat under my very restrictive autoimmune Paleo diet. Hint: I could eat most things on the menu! My office (3 ppl) ordered Cava online for pick up, on a Monday, for lunch. The wait was 45 minutes even though we placed the order 20min ahead of time. The food was tasty. I ordered a salad that had hummus, Tzaziki and a dressing. None of the wet items were 'on the side', so I had to eat it immediately or the food would be soggy later. I had planned to eat my order mid-afternoon, so I was pretty disappointed. Also, the portion was a bit 1/3rd smaller than expected, but still okay. Apparently, they run out of ingredients quickly, so order before 11:30am. :/ My co-workers ordered a wrap and a bowl. They were both pleased with the taste. I read that they use organic ingredients when possible. They do use sustainable packaging, so I'll bump my rating from 3 start to 4 for effort. Great flavors poured into a bowl. It's far-from-fancy, but the food is delicious. From a foundation of grains or greens, you add a choice of proteins and sauces. I had a combination of grains, lamb meatballs and falafel. What's great, besides the food, is the team. They don't take tips, so it's amazing that they rely on each other, stepping up with a smile. I've you've been to CAVA this is another CAVA. It's not overly great, but is a good way to mixup eating out with some different foods.

I love Mediterranean food, so I figured I would give this place a shot. The food is delicious and honestly you can't go wrong with any of the combinations. I had the pleasure of being served by Lilian this evening and it was the most pleasant experience I've ever had at a fast casual restaurant. She was so polite, calming, and kind in every possible way. She provided fast and efficient service like I've never received before. The good thing about now is there is no line/ no wait/ quick service. Before Covid you were looking at a 15-20 wait through the line that would reach the door and online orders would have to be place at least 1 hour in advance. Several different way to build a bowl, salad, or Sandwich. Tons of toppings. Super easy menu to read on how to create a meal and if you do a bowl you get a free pita bread. I get about 9-10 toppings on a chicken bowl. Get the harissa if you like spicy, highly recommend. All of the sauces are great to add! read more

Update: Still waiting at 1:03. At this point, standing in line would have been faster. Food came out at 1:08. At least three other customers still waiting for their 12:30 orders. Cashier should be making announcements and setting expectations, but no dice. No acknowledgment for the delays that are caused. Don't rely on this place if you have a meeting you need to get to.
