    Avocado toast
    Brynn B.

True food kitchen is a pretty good spot for brunch. I got an almond milk latte and the avocado toast. The avocado toast was very fresh- but spicy! I wasn't expecting the kick. The little salad that came with it was very good- I enjoyed the cucumbers and the dressing a lot. My latte was average. They don't offer syrups or other milk alternatives- they just have the almond milk. The service was good and they gave a little gift to all the mothers for Mother's Day which I thought was darling. We parked in the garage under the Trader Joe's and there is also some street parking in the area.

Delicious healthy dinner option We tried the Brussels sprouts / incredible - loved the mushrooms and sauce I got the Korean noodle bowl with chicken - my favorite!! My husband got the burger and really enjoyed this too I got a side of the kale salad - so good!! I tried the gin cocktail with grapefruit juice - so refreshing and light!! We also tried the carrot cake but wasn't our favorite personally Service was great. Food came out quickly and the inside is very open and has nice decor.

Nice casual atmosphere downtown. Food was good but it took a while for a Sunday afternoon when it wasn't busy. The sides were plated well before the main part of the dish so the temp wasn't great for the sides. Burger tasted great and they let me order it because I didn't want a large meal. I consider the portions small except for the kid's meal. Friendly service but it seems they were short staffed for servers.

    Mediterranean breakfast bowl

My wife and I stopped in for lunch today after walking the trail downtown. It had been a while since our last visit, but wow! The food was fantastic! We ordered the Mediterranean Breakfast Bowl, Brussels Sprouts, and my wife had an espresso martini. The bowl was incredible. All the savory flavors were pouring out of the bowl. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the tzatziki sauce was a great addition to the pickled radish, onions, chickpeas and snappeas. The Brussels sprouts were so good as well. There's like a garlic chili sauce they put on it that was amazing. We'd definitely order both items again. Service was great. We sat bar-top. The restaurant was kind of calm which was surprising since it was Friday. The restaurant had a cool vibe inside. If you're downtown, go check it out!

Overall the experience was well paced and the service was pleasant. They have a great patio and large dining area. Great for big parties. The Valentines Day menu was a great deal. Many vegetarian options

I dropped in for a lunch on my own and enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. The vibes of this place are super friendly and there's plenty of seating. I opted for the Mediterranean wrap with butternut squash soup and ofc a cookie. It was a decent meal that was more flavorful than I expected and my waitress was super kind!

    Edamame dumplings

After a day of exploring in Austin, my family recommended this place. They had tried it before and raved about it. To start, we had the edamame dumplings and the hummus. I have to say, I was so pleasantly surprised with the appetizers and the main dishes did not disappoint either! I had the poke bowl and devoured it all. Ingredients are fresh and quality of food is undeniable! Healthy and tasty! Their menu offers a great variety of choices from pizza, to salad, bowls, and much more! Service was prompt and great! Definitely returning and definitely recommend! Not to mention the welcoming and friendly ambiance and beautiful and earthy interior design!

    Chicken sandwich.

Rather average today, as I ordered the chicken sandwich, which was on the small side for $19.50. The chicken was good but the sandwich didn't have much on it except lettuce and their house dressing. The fries were so hard and stale that I sent them back. Iced tea was good. Service was okay but I had to flag down servers because mine rarely checked on me.

    korean noodle bowl
    Ali B.

I went to True Food Kitchen for the first time in a while today and I thought it was very yummy! We were hungry before getting our groceries at Trader Joes and thought why not grab a bite nearby. I ordered the korean noodle bowl and my boyfriend got the all american burger. I thought both dishes were very tasty. I love glass noodles and I thought this one was pretty good. I did add some hot sauce on top to give it a little more flavor. I really liked the burger though, it was very juicy and flavorful. Our waitress was really nice and appeared at just the right times. I love eating at health concious spots so I will probably be back here again in the future to try different menu items.

    Chicken Parm
    Ang F.

Wonderful patio! Even on a hot day, the shade allows relief from the sun and due to the structure of buildings you'll be sure to catch some nice breeze from time to time. Lunch can get busy! Because there is so much seating it actually was busier than it appeared. Service was kind. Menu is committed to responsibly sources foods, highlighting prime ingredients. Health conscious. Keep in mind, food may be priced higher than alternative restaurants. Ironically, I ordered the Poke Bowl despite being across from a Poke spot. The weather was just too nice to not have something as refreshing as a Poke Bowl. The crispy chicken lasagna was very good!! Pro tip: HH starts at 3 PM M-F. Seasonal menus are taken seriously. For example, it's the end of September and their pumpkin latte is made with REAL squash pie...And not a syrup. Spaghetti squash was also served with the chicken Parm.

Are warm and welcoming waitress Dilia that we've had for all three of our visits this weekend.
