Great food, TERRIBLE service. I went in today 9/20 with my husband. We ordered our food and the blonde girl that helped me had the worst attitude. I asked for modifications and when I missed something I didn't want on it she responds yeah that's why I asked you no this or that. The comment was so unnecessary. Honestly she was rude from the start. The guy who helped my husband wouldn't speak a word, wouldn't respond to him at all. At the end I asked him what this girls name was so I could speak to a manager and he told me he didn't know his won coworkers name. Yeah, okay. Anyways, this was a favorite of man but I can't stand people with bad attitudes and unnecessary comments. Take your money elsewhere where there's actually decent people helping you. read more

Not one to usually write a review but this is needed. I went into CAVA today to try something new. I was greeted from the moment I walked through the door by the employees and the employee that was assisting me Johnny (which I believe was the manager) he really took his time with me. I wasn't sure what to get as they have so many wonderful options but he made a recommendation and made me a bowl that was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Upon checking out I was thanked by the cashier and told to have a wonderful day. The food was fresh, service was quick, and the restaurant was very clean. I hate to do this :( i have tried CAVA in other states before they opened in CO and I was so excited to see them coming to castle rock. They are a great lunch concept! Howver, this location has been terrible. I have been here multiple times and it just feels like staffing is really an issue. I understand many places are facing shortages and we have all (hopefully all!) learned to be extra patient during these times.... On about my 4th time here I actually went inside, the place was empty.... Including staff! I jung out for a solid 5 minutes, called out to the back..... nope, no one was there.... Other times I have had less than friendly people help me.... I hope they sort this out soon enough because we need the healthy quick lunch spots in the area! read more

Absolute WORST restaurant in Castle Rock for several reasons. The biggest being that everyone working there seems extremely upset to be working, consistently. They are very rude, impolite, and make you feel like you are really inconveniencing them by coming in. Secondly, half the time they don't have the food made that you want. Three separate times I have gone in and they haven't had falafel made. When I asked if they were going to, they said "we close in a couple hours so we aren't making more". I've been into this location several times and the last time I was, my fiancé and I were jaw dropped at how rude the staff was. They open at 10:45 and we got there at 11. When we knocked on the door because it was still locked, the girl who saw us rolled her eyes and walked to the back for several minutes. When she finally let us in, she didn't say anything and was very condescending and grumpy while making our order. There's just something so shocking about feeling really bad to order food/go to a restaurant when you're in a good mood and being polite. I will never ever come back to this location. read more

This review is a culmination of visits as I live close by. It has potential to be good, but often has the following issues: -Ingredients/food items often run out -Food is not prepared properly (ex. rice is over cooked so it is hard and crunchy) -Cleanliness is poor (tables are often dirty) -Unreasonably long wait times and poor service Most of these issues are likely attributable to chronic understaffing and hopefully management can solve for this soon. read more

The first few visits this place was a start up but good. Tonight... they added "raw lentils" to my take out. And they were out of many choices-items... everything was picked over. Ate at Kava on a Sunday at 4:30 pm. Place was a mess. Not a single table had customers sitting, however every table was filthy. All the while 5-6 employees meandered around behind the counter. They were out of food items, which seams to be the norm. Intended to eat at the restaurant, decided to take it to go when I saw the condition of the tables. This place is super good! I'm so glad castle rock has a restaurant like this. It's fresh, healthy and something different. The staff was friendly and hard working. And the food was excellent! I love the concept, the available veggies, and the variety! However, I find the food to be INCREDIBLY salty. Every time I have eaten here, I've felt like my tongue is coated in salt and I can't seem to drink enough water. It's not just this location, either. It's all of them. When you look at the nutrition and see the sodium content, you'll see that it's not just in my head. They use a ridiculous amount of salt (and yes, places that are similar like Chipotle, Roti, Q'doba, Garbanzo's, etc. all have the same problem). Please, consider drastically reducing the amount of sodium you use in your foods. Not only is it unhealthy, it makes it super hard to enjoy. read more

Healthy food, generous portions, flavorful. They could have more staff to make line faster and make sure tables are clean.

Management is so amazing we got stuck inside because of a hail storm and got free pita chips to snack on while we waited. Bowls are also out of this world! I'd come here over chipotle any day. The price is great and the building is always clean. This location isn't even the closest to me but I love the atmosphere so much I'd rather come here! 10/10 read more

The slowest service ever! I fell in love with this restaurant going to a different location and was so excited that one was opening in Castle Rock. I have been to this location four times and it has always fell short. The rice is over cooked and so crunchy, the staff is so slow moving, they are consistently out of food items. Honestly, Cava is one of my favorite "take out" food places. My coworkers and I go to a different location close to work often and it never disappoints. However, a few Sundays ago I wasn't feeling well and decided to Door Dash some Cava. Let me tell you, I was so disappointed. I got the tahini caeser and it was one of the most pathetic salads I've ever gotten. Usually with Cava you get a very well made salad and this was just a couple of leaves, a few cucumbers, some pickled onions sprinkled, and no feta. I wish I had a photo to back up this statement but at that time I was too upset and hungry to do anything but eat my pathetic salad(that I paid $23 for door dash, mind you). I realized we had never been to Cava and decided to pop in. We were hungry for a salad/healthy and MAdGreens seems to always disappoint. The food was really good. The staff was a bit hesitant to help for someone who had not been there before but after we made our own bowls and sat down, we were pleasantly surprised by the great flavors and freshness of the food. Like all Cavas, this location was amazing!!! Absolutely delicious as always. My favorite thing to order is a bowl with saffron basmati rice, grilled chicken, tzatziki sauce, red pepper Hummus, and crazy feta (my 3 spreads of choice). Then for toppings I get the halved cherry tomatoes, feta, pickled onions, corn, and the diced cucumber and tomato mixture. For dressing I enjoy the herb tahini, yogurt dill, or green vinaigrette. Today I tried something new for protein and did half lamb meatballs and half grilled chicken for no extra cost. DELICIOUS!!! Cava has many drinks to choose from, specializing in refreshing lemonades and fresh juice and tea mixtures (I think there was a cucumber melon one, which particularly drew my attention).
