Stopped in for the 1st time. I've been wanting to try for a while. When my family arrived, we were the ONLY customers inside. We reviewed the menu for 2 to 3 minutes. This ENTIRE TIME, not one on the 7 employees behind the counter, could be courteous enough to say "hi" "welcome to cava" or "do you have questions?" Someone needs to teach them how to cook rice. As I went in today, there was only one option of rice available and it looked as if there was a mixture of hard rice and actual cooked rice. I don't understand how a place that makes bowls with a rice base doesn't know how to actually cook the rice. I love Cava but this location is subpar. read more

Selena greeted me with a friendly smile and offered me a drink while I waited for my friend to arrive. Restaurant was clean, and napkins, straws, lids, utensils were stocked and orderly. My wife and I came in to have dinner. She ordered the chicken pita and I ordered the steak. They made hers and started to make mine. When the worker looked at the steak they realized they didn't have enough. They scooped out the dredges of the leftover steak and juice, added it to the pita bread. I asked if more steak could be made. The person in the back said they would not make more steak as they were cooking other food. They offed to just add some different type of meat but it already was not looking appealing and they didn't seem to be concerned at all with fixing the situation. We just cancelled my sandwich and paid the $17 for my wife's pita. I watched her eat it and she said it was "fine". On the plus side, it wasn't busy at all and there was plenty of seating. The place was clean, except for the bathroom. I suppose it being so late (6:45 PM) and them wanting to get a jump on closing because it was only a short 3 hours later, it is reasonable that they didn't want to make more steak. There looks like an interesting pizza place next door. I would maybe give that a shot instead. read more

I love cava normally and perhaps my not so great experience was due to visiting on a weekday right after the holidays when the store wasn't busy and so the food may have been sitting out. This was our first visit to this new location. (On West 7th). This new location was a thousand times better than the Waterside store! The West 7th store was cleaner, friendlier, and all around a wonderful experience. The manager and staff were so kind and the restaurant was clean. We will never again go to the Cava at Waterside. I love cava but at this location in particular the employees are incredibly rude and have messed up every order I've gotten here (I've been here 6 times). When I ask them to change it because they messed up they've said they would have to charge extra for the ingredients even though they put the wrong things on there. They overcharge you for everything and have random rules that aren't at any other cava location I've been too. That plus how difficult it is to get here because of traffic makes it 1000% not worth it. Save your time and your money go somewhere else instead. read more

The health department needs to come to this location. They've only been opened a few months and hygiene is horrendous! Dead flies in cooler where drinks are, the kitchen looked dirty, one of the girls not changing their gloves after touching random surfaces. The rice is hard because it's been sitting out and they just mix it in like nothing is wrong. Rude employees the list goes on!
