The food quality and food taste is excellent at this mediterranean fast-food entity. However the operations and time management of the serving staff of the Frisco location is severely lacking. This location Rarely has pre-placed (online) orders ready on time. Most instances the the serving staff forgets to monitor the online order queue. This Frisco location has potential to be a great store, however more experienced staff is needed to provide CAVA brand (efficient) service. read more

came in today with my daughter and she ordered a bowl with steak. The steak was undercooked and fatty. She tried to eat it but couldn't; she didn't even get halfway through. I took it to the front and told an employe. He was very sweet and offered a refund which I wasn't looking for. I was very grateful until he called another employee named Angel, she came out saying "what's up" and being rude, then she went on to lecture us on how the meat is cooked, and saying that "meat has fat" in a rude way. Then Angel said she wouldn't give me a refund. I told her that I hadn't asked for one that I just wanted another bowl since my daughter didn't eat hers. I even brought the bowl back, but because she had already taken a few bites she refused to do anything. There was over half of the bowl left over. Angel simply walked away and did nothing about the situation. I will never come back again. read more

This place is a mess. Two stars because my family likes the food, when they actually have it. They are always out of ingredients! It's amazing. I'm sure they would use the "supply chain" argument. I would say you suck at inventory and forecasting. My wife and daughter have eaten at the restaurant two or three times, and always comment how they are always out of items. Last week we finally drove to the restaurant because we couldn't place an online order (more about that coming) and it looked like no one had cleaned the preparation area all day. It was disgusting. We left. Why? They didn't have any rice. Seems like an important ingredient. Now, the reason that I told my family that we are done with Cava. I have never been able to place an online order. I have tried the app and online. I have tried three different payment methods. Created multiple accounts. Tried with VPN and without. Wifi and no-wifi. I always get one of two error methods- payment error or call the store because we can't process the order. I have spent multiple hours and many, many attempts over months to place a pickup order. Cava is generally pretty good. Healthy, flavorful and well portioned. This location stands out for its very pleasant but underwhelming service. Often missing items but you don't know that until you get here. Waiting for 15-20 min for rice is common place at off hours. Bowls can vary by 40-50% depending who you get to prepare it. I really want to like this place, but staff is consistently an issue. I placed an online order, which was supposed to be ready at 9 pm. I get there a little after 9 and they have not even started on it. At 9:15, my order was bagged and placed on the pick up shelves. I get home and my side sauces are not on the side nor in my bowl. I have an issue every time I come to this place! I would love a smooth experience. I tried calling immediately when I got home, but no answer and the mailbox is full so I could not leave a message. I tried to take it up with the restaurant before taking it to Yelp. read more

Great concept, poor execution. Staff seems undertrained and apathetic. Everything behind the counter just looks...messy. I like the ingredients and no one is rude, this place just doesn't shine. If I was the manager or district manager I would secret shop this place and snap it into shape. Too many good options to have such mediocrity. Came here with my wife the other night and she ordered a wrap, they smashed a pita into the bottom of the bowl, covered it in ingredients and didn't bother to wrap it because they said it's too messy. You only have two options: bowl or wrap. This place makes me long for the Zoe's that used to be here. read more

This location has struggled with finding nice staff and just overall maintaining inventory. I even left a 3 star review last year because it was so frustrating. I went in today so excited to use my birthday coupon! I also ended up having an $8 coupon as well. The cashier behind the register, today 11/15/23 at 2:48p gave me some "love" and covered the $3 that was remaining! Was SO WONDERFUL! Today experience was great! I have also had a few great experiences over the last few months and notice they have new staff and just overall a happier attitude. They have stepped it up! thank you Cava! read more

Like others have said, lots of ingredients unavailable and service is slow and lacking. Pick up orders are not made on time. I placed an order for 9:15 pm and I arrived at 9:35 pm. They were barely starting my order. No hummus, no dill yogurt. My order was not made correctly. At least 1 or 2 ingredients missing from each bowl when the other bowls did have the ingredient. So that just tells me that they aren't paying attention to the order. If you go here, go in person early in the day. The food is good, but lots of issues make it hard to keep coming back. read more

The reason I gave them two stars is because they do have the potential to be really good. They have got a lot of amazing fresh healthy ingredients in this place and it used to be so much better. I have come so many times to give them so many chances and every time we come it takes at least 45 minutes to get our food or longer. That's ridiculous. Nobody has that kind of time to waste. The pictures do not show how much this place has gone downhill...these pictures most of them are from back in the beginning when they first opened up and were trying to make an impression. The bowls are never as full as these bowls look. Our bowls are usually halfway filled compared to these. Not only that but every single time we come and we've come a lot because we believe in giving second and third chances and everybody has a bad day sometimes. Every single time we come everybody that orders in my party has missing items in their bowl and I'm starting to think bc it happens so often that they do this on purpose to save money. It's very shady and deceptive business practices. When you pay for certain things to be in your bowl and then skimp to save themselves some money, even though you're paying 20 bucks for a bowl of vegetables. Unacceptable! And again this happens every Time to every one in my party when we go together. That can't be a coincidence. They just figure you won't notice with a bunch of stuff mixed into the bowl. It could be hard to tell, but being a chef myself, I pay attention to these kind of details. Also, I got the spicy meatballs and they were red inside so uncooked. If you really wanna go to this place, good luck. Hopefully you won't get sick and hopefully you won't be paying for items you don't get. read more

What's the deal with the sanitation at this location? I placed an online order for 11:00 am. The store just opened. When I went in to pickup my to go order of course it wasn't ready, I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and the bathroom was beyond filthy. I was mortified that the bathrooms (I checked both) were beyond nasty even though the store just opened and there were no customers yet. I was under the impression that most establishments, especially ones that serve food, do a deep cleaning either at night or early in the morning before they open. The lack of cleanliness in the bathrooms makes me question the overall sanitation level of the store. read more

Wasnt my favorite. Menu is overwhelming. It's basically chipotle with Mediterranean food. Except putting 3 dips/spreads onto a bed of rice and salad with very strong flavors doesn't mix well. It just felt like I was eating mushy soggy Greek food. read more

I've been a cava member for 6 years. I've had minor issues in the past, but today tops all. I'm going to assume it's because it was a to-go order. I ordered my standard bowl and added an additional protein. When it got delivered, the main protein (chicken) was missing, along with half of the ingredients selected. When I try to contact the store it goes straight to voicemail. Of course the mailbox is full so there is no chance of me getting a response unless I go in.
