I was recently introduced to Cava and can't resist to get it any time I am near an establishment. It is a similar concept to chipotle "build your own" with fresh Mediterranean options. I would recommend looking at their menu prior to arriving. They have a lot of different options and it was difficult for me to pick on the spot. Everything sound so good. I have been meaning to try this place for 3 years. I am apparently super lazy given I go the Torchys next door for...3 years. This based on one take out order. Sweet and spicy chicken pita: was awesome. I added that green vacuum sauce. Pita was good not too pita-forward. Sauces were great and fresh veggies all came together. My complaint would be consistency. All of the ingredients seemed to retreat to their respective parts of the pita. Tomatoes on this side lettuce and pickle things to the other side. I should not have to deconstruct/reconstruct my pita. Maybe train your employees and/or drug test them every so often. Sayin. Still tasty. I can see why others have problems with the quality. Honestly, as someone who loves CAVA, I expected a lot more from this location. Usually I am eating at the Castle Rock location, but today it was really busy and I knew the employees were working hard and I didn't want to add more to their load. I went to the next closest location and the environment just seemed very dull. The employees looked like they didn't want to be there and the portions weren't nearly as big as when I get them in Castle Rock. I have NEVER had a worse experience. We ordered delivery online. When our food didn't arrive we called. The person refused to be of assistance, "it is not my problem. Call Door Dash, " and hung up. When we called back to say we don't have any information to call Door Dash she continued to argue, said our order was cancelled and we wouldn't get our money back. When we picked up the order it only got worse. The manager was argumentative, extremely disrespectful and aggressive. She refused to provide an area manager contact information. Contacted the store in CR and spoke to management. I will never go back!!! Unless staffing and management changes... stay away. read more

Tonight me and my husband had the opportunity to visit the Highlands Ranch location. We normally go to the Boulder Location but, we were coming home from out of town and thought why not! & Im so happy we did because it's 10x better than the Boulder location. Bren made me and my husband bowls tonight and was fast and made sure we got everything we wanted (I had no idea I could get up to 3 dips in my bowl) but, Bren was there to let us know this! Her and Joey were such a team as she was letting him know what she needed and he was there in a hurry to get it to her so our experience was FAST AND GREAT! Honestly didn't love it. I was really looking forward to some mediteranean food, but it was lacking. It started with the order - which I did online. I requested curbside delivery, but when I arrived there was no place to park, nor anyone to deliver it. No big deal - I went inside to pick it up. But when I got home the portions were tiny. They then told me I had to get in line and re order my food. What's the point of pick up at that point?! I got an extra side of pita chips and hummus. Popped into Cava with the intentions of getting a very fresh, very tasty Greek Salad, topped with gyro meat, and was instantly informed that gyro meat is NOT available. The chicken that came with the salad was delish, and all the vegetables were super-fresh and also delish. Both Jason and Alex were consummate professionals and management should know that, despite me waving cash in their faces (in an obnoxious way, as only a gyro-meat-deprived customer might do), they REFUSED to accept my offer of a gratuity and, instead, encouraged me to return soon. This is way overpriced for what you get. This should be 5-8$ a bowl. The Greek salad was crap and small portions for 12$ . This place has that qudoba vibe and that place is over priced as well. I love Cava. It's hands-down my favorite place for quick casual. The food is flavorful, can be healthy and it's easy. My only complaint is that this one is struggling with service and the lines and the lack of online ordering.. which they had a few months ago prevents me from visiting. I unfortunately don't have time to wait in line. Not to mention they close early some nights. Essentially, the food was good. There was a lot of variety for toppings and ways to build your meal. The price was ok. What really diminished the experience was the exceptionally long wait. We were in a line that wasn't too long but took 30 min to get through, which baffled me because it was assembly line counter service so everything was ready to go. Usually when I go to this location I'm hesitant about the young workers who get distracted by each other instead of attending yo their customers. This restaurant was filthy. No one looked like they cleaned up after themselves. All around the food service station, food was slopped around and not cleaned up.
