We've visited here three times now. Each time service has been quick and friendly. Even during lunch time rush, service is quick. Although I miss some of the "old" menu items, and the flexible ordering, I still like the salads here. I wish they still had small and large sizing. Beverages are better, IMO, than they used to be. As a fast-casual restaurant, the ambience is...well...fast-casual. I like that the restrooms are gender-neutral. I'm not sure why the umbrellas have not been out on the patio. read more

I'm a DU student, so I usually go to the one on S Colorado Blvd. Compared to that one, this one is... okay. (Edit: I guess it's worth noting that my dad got the Baja Shrimp Bowl and loved it) Food quality was perfectly fine, but not as enjoyable as the other location. Got the southwest bowl, but they were out of rice, so I got quinoa. Chicken was in small pieces, avocado was in large chunks, and the sauce wasn't very perceivable, even though I asked for medium/regular amount. Blueberry soda is always great, but somehow felt more carbonated than normal, but idk if Mad Greens controls that. Employee clearly didn't wanna be there, but he wasn't rude or anything. I personally don't care much about this, but if you do - the place was pretty dead when I walked in (evening). Only two employees, and not even any overhead music. read more

I just picked up my salad and brought it home. I am glad I ordered extra protein and avocado because the actual salad part of it was disgusting. The spinach was way beyond its fresh date. It was wilted and just gross. I paid $19.94 for this. The proteins were yummy, but when you pay that much for a 'Spinach Salad', from a Salad place, the least of concerns should fresh greens. I also received a phone call right after I ordered from a super friendly employee saying they were out of one of the ingredients I ordered. Service was above and beyond! I walked there with a colleague for lunch last Fri and did don't bring my purse with my wallet. When she ordered a salad to take back to our office, I decided they looked to good to pass up and so when the friendly salad maker asked for my order I asked if they accepted ApplePay as that was the only form of payment I had asked on my phone. He responded sincerely that he was sorry but they didn't take ApplePay. Disappointed, I replied thanks anyway. He then said don't worry about it just order what you want, no charge today. When did service with a smile become an option? You have three people behind the counter taking your order with no customer service at ALL! No greeting and no "Thank You for coming in...". I really wanted to give 2.5 stars. Anyhoo. The quality of the food was good and fresh. However, the initial helper/server seemed spaced out. They did not cut the avocado and in my opinion way too much bacon and not enough chicken (I had the Cobb). I felt it was also overpriced for what I got. My order had a mistake that didn't let me eat it because of a food allergy and Autmn was very kind and very apologetic when I called and she swapped my order and gave me the bigger size. I got the same thing here that I get at other mad green's but for some reason it tasted kind of bland. No flavor, no spice, nothing. Not sure if they gave me the wrong dressing or what. It was still a good salad, just bland. It was also a little disconcerting that the guy who was tossing the salads was also the guy who was handling the money and the register, without wearing any gloves or washing his hands or anything. I haven't worked in the food industry since my teens, but I'm pretty sure that's still a thing. Someone else came up to help him when it got busy and she kept doing the same thing, too. Double and triple check! It seems like every time I choose to give Mad Greens another try they prove me right. Tonight I placed an online order so I could run in and pick up with an assumption that how can anyone mess that up. Bad idea! I placed a $35 order. I arrived and asked the employee, "is it all here? You sure?" The employee told me yes. I got home and there is no salad dressing for my salad...and no dressing in my fridge. No chocolate milk in that bag that goes with the grilled cheese kids meal. And the brownie that I ordered did not make it in the bag. So basically, the only edible item was the grilled cheese and my brothers wrap. Every time I order mad greens I am disappointed...and yet, I keep going back because it's close. I think I will stop going there though. It's so frustrating! I called mad greens to tel them about their mistake. The employees told me that it is the responsibility of the customer to grab the brownie and the milk from the place near the cash register. I asked her why this was the case for an online order? The whole point of the online order and paying ahead is so you can run in and grab your meal. Why would I need to then go to the area with the milk and get it myself? I can't imagine that the owner of this store would make that part of the online order process. But if that is part of the protocol, then they should highlight that in bold red when you are making the online payment: Important: mad greens is not responsible for making sure your entire order gets into the bag. This place just opened up pretty recently. I had never been to a Mad Greens before, so this was definitely a good experience. The food here is definitely fresh. And it is really tasty. But, I have to admit the prices are a little bit steep on a college budget. If I ever had a few extra bucks to spend on a salad type meal, I would consider coming back.  The salad bar is sort of like a Subway/Chipotle style set-up where you can customize your salad if you like. Being a slightly picky eater, this is perfect for me. When ordering, you definitely need to be careful of the prices. Not all of the ingredients offered are free of charge. It is definitely necessary to be aware of which ingredients cost extra vs. which ingredients are free.  I also had a chance to try the wraps that they served here. If you wanted to go the wrap route, I would highly recommend the Gandhi wrap. It is a wrapped which features curry chicken within it. It has very delicate and mild flavors, but you can definitely taste the curry.  I also sampled some of their fresh juices/smoothies. Yes, you can definitely sense the healthiness of the juices/smoothies. If you are on a budget, these items might not be very affordable when compared to buying the ingredients and making it at home. These items are delicious, but you can make something as equally delicious at home. But, the juices/smoothies are available for convenience. read more

You know, they do it right when you're craving a salad and don't have time for a sit-down restaurant but need something better than crappy drive thru salads. This place is quick, even when the line is out the door at noon, service is friendly, and the space is clean. I tend to do take out but do eat in as well, and my only complaint is that it can get noisy inside. I do like that they have a patio. Despite a windy day with thunderstorms on the horizon and a line wrapping around the building, opening day was efficient and the quality of the food and service was impeccable! I stood in line for about half an hour, but the staff kept the energy high and there were smiles all around. Menus were passed out while customers were waiting in line, which allowed me to look over everything and ask questions before I got to the ordering station. Talk about efficiency! I decided on the Don Quixote salad (with baby greens, avocado, mango, jack cheese, and corn) and added the citrus grilled chicken. The entire salad was fresh with a great mix of sweet from the mango and corn and savory from the chicken and cheese. The serving was the perfect size to fill me up comfortably. I was very impressed that the ingredients are sourced locally as well. If you aren't a huge fan of salads, there are a ton of other things available on the menu, including paninis and wraps. I would certainly recommend a stop by here if you're in this part of town. read more
