At this point I'm not sure if this Cava is worth the trip. The restaurant is really large and accommodates lots of people in a long line, which is great because it seems to always be long. I guess the other patrons are like me and go wishing Cava has what they desire. I read several reviews on other platforms of patrons stating that either their food was mediocre or the restaurant was out of ingredients they ordered. Same as for me on this day. I specifically visited for the garlic chicken bowl, they were out of the garlic and the chicken. I chose substitute items but mentioned to the cashier that my meal was not what I came there for due to the substitutes. As I took out my wallet to pay, she informed me that I could have the bowl for free which was appreciated. Although it wasn't what I wanted to eat, it wasn't bad. The food was fresh, but the portions seems skimpy. If I visit again I will make sure that all of the ingredients that I desire are available before ordering.

Tip: On busy nights/weekends, just walk in and go through the line. Only drive through or order ahead during off hours. This reminds me of when Starbucks went full custom drink order crazy, opened drive through, and order ahead all at once. It's the exact same logistics bottleneck at CAVA. You're waiting for at least 20 to 30 minutes after your expected pickup time in either the drive through or in-store pickup while the walk through line is moving smoothly. The issue is that the small station creates a large bottleneck serving both the drive through and order ahead pickup at once. On to the food. It's delicious! Great ingredients, flavor, and spice. I really enjoyed the spicy lamb and avocado bowl. I'd definitely come back...when it's not busy.

I stopped by Cava for a pickup order and overall, I had a really good experience! I ordered the "build your own bowl" so if anything doesn't hit the mark, it'll be my own fault. I'll admit, I'm normally a pretty plain eater and don't usually pile on sauces. For my bowl, I went with saffron rice, chicken shawarma, corn, broccoli, hummus, and feta dip. The portion of chicken was generous, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. My total came out to $13.78, which felt very reasonable for the quality and portion size. Next time, I'd definitely load up more on the hummus, it was good, but I don't think they gave me enough! My order was ready quickly for pickup, which was super convenient. Overall, it's nothing I'd write home about, but I did enjoy it and would definitely come back.

I was really really excited to see that there is a CAVA in Michigan now since it was one of my favorite "bowl" places in NYC for a reasonably priced, reasonably healthy, reasonably filling lunch. I went with my typical order today (greens + grains bowl with pretty much every single veggie topping and chicken) and it was around $14 on DoorDash although I'm sure the prices were likely inflated vs in-store. It was fine? Maybe I was blowing it up in my memory ahead of time but I was pretty underwhelmed. The bowl was a decent size but very light on the chicken and the chicken also wasn't as good as I've been used to with Cava before. Probably wouldn't order again but nice to have in the area.

At first, when seeing the poor reviews for this Cava, I was shocked. Being so excited there's finally one outside of the DMV, I expected the same level of awesome. Well, now I understand why this location is giving Cava a bad name. Things that need improvement: - cleanliness. Tables, floors were quite dirty, at about 5 pm on a weekday. No excuses, there was far too many staff members behind the counter, looking useless. - product availability. Half of the house made lemonades/drinks were completely empty, and several of the toppings for the bowls were also out. Again, this is 5 pm on a weekday, with no line, there was time to prep more veggies. - food. Chicken temp was cool, and bowl could have been more full. It's hard to break into the metro Detroit area with Mediterranean food - we are very spoiled with suburb cuisine in that department. If they make improvements, this Cava location can shine like the others I have frequented. I hope metro Detroiters give them a chance!

Finally had the chance to try CAVA, only mistake I made was going during the opening week. The Line was huge and it took us an exact hour to get our food. Portions are huge and the food is delicious. Service was great and the crew was very friendly. Only disappointment was the pita chips had way too much salt on them. Loud but great place to enjoy a meal .

Finally, the first Cava in MI! It was absolutely packed, the staff worked hard to get the line moving. The interior was clean there's lots of seating and bathrooms available. There's pickup/order ahead options available. I did a Build Your Own Bowl, so good. The food and drinks are fantastic, I've always loved how fresh their falafel is. The flavor in CAVA food is unbeatable. Can't recommend enough!

Parking spaces were ample as the neighboring businesses weren't busy at all during this holiday week. The inside was not ornately decorated as some of the fancier places in the area that serve this type of cuisine. Between the booths and tables, my estimate was that the seating capacity was around 50 customers. The menu booklet contained several pages of offerings across the categories of appetizers, soups, salads, sides, wraps/subs, traditional dishes, and seafood/chops. For beverages, there were juices, smoothies, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. My friends each chose a different type of wrap for their meal. I picked one of the entrees from the traditional dishes which was the Gallaba over Hummus. In my hometown, I don't see gallaba as often as items like shish kabobs and shawarma. My order consisted of a choice of meat (lamb was my pick) sauteed with green peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, and carrots with special spices added. The mixture was served on a bed of hummus with my choice of rice on the side. A cup of chicken rice soup (instead of lentil) also came with this traditional dish. While we were waiting for our food, a basket of warm pita bread and a cup of garlic spread were provided. The spread was very pungent so I used it sparingly. An extra dinner salad was mistakenly added which I saved for leftovers. The gallaba was essentially a Middle Eastern version of a meat stir fry. The pieces of lamb were tender and not gamey. The spices added flavor but not saltiness. Between the bread, soup, rice, and gallaba, it was a generous portion size that also became leftovers for later. For the quality and price of my meal, I gave a four star rating for our visit to The Sheikh Restaurant.

Shawarma, is a Mediterranean street food that originated in the Middle East, and is extremely popular Egypt, Lebanon, and Iraq to name a few places on the map. With the migration of people from these countries to Michigan over the past few decades, it was only natural they would bring along their delicious cuisine. If you're looking for great shawarma, but don't want to drive down to Dearborn from the western suburbs with the price of gas at all-time record highs, then My Shawarma located on M-153 in Canton won't disappoint you in the least. They offer great kabobs, pitas, and subs that will make you a loyal fan in a heartbeat. However, if you're like me, you'll love to tray on their combo meals. Trust me, when your in hurry, this place is fast, and will have in and out the door in no time at all. Likewise, delivery is even possible, especially if you have a few coworkers who want to join you. I'll even let you in on a big secret. My Shawarma offers fresh hummus made from a chick pea blend that goes great with Chili Cheese Fritos. I never said my taste buds were perfect, but they really like this combination. But I must digress. If you want to enjoy some great tasting Mediterranean food, but don't want spend a lot of gasoline, and who does these days, just take a trip to Ford Road in Canton, and your taste buds will love you for it.
