My husband and I have been here twice since the new year and have been very impressed! We first discovered it when we were just browsing Yelp for a healthy place to have dinner. The menu is incredibly customizable for those who are picky, but they also have pre-curated bowls for those who want something tried and true and aren't picky. Their dips, spreads, and dressings are all very good, and their pita bread is soft and the perfect consistency. We ordered a customized greens&grains bowl, a Harissa Avocado bowl, and a Pita wrap. All of them were delicious and VERY filling. It was definitely too much food for two of us for one meal. The thing that was most impressive was when we ordered from here the second time. We loved what we got the first time and just wanted to get the same thing, but it was so customizable that I was worried about missing a few ingredients here and there. As I logged in, there was a huge button saying "Reorder". It was incredibly convenient and made ordering so much easier! The Pasadena location has convenient curbside pick-up right in front of the store. When you order online, you can indicate the make and model of your car. Once you arrive, you call them and someone brings your order to your car. You can also go into the restaurant to pick it up or have food delivered. The app also has some sort of rewards program. They have ball and have pitas all their meats they have are made fresh I don't think I've ever in my life had better Mediterranean food, I highly highly recommend this place. You haven't tried it. Think chipotle, but with Mediterranean food. We went on Wednesday at around 1pm, not many people. It's a great place to sit and chat. Also the food is considerably healthy, so no guilt there. Went in not knowing how CAVA works, but it's really similar to a chipotle restaurant. First, choose your base. I'd go for the grains and green. Get a good mix of both worlds. Brown rice is really good. The lady was nice and also put a bit of the lentils on since I wasn't too sure about that. Next up are the dips. Hummus is neutral, would try others as well (up to 3). Go with chicken if you don't know what meat to go with. Always a safe choice. Also, they were giving a complimentary pita bread. Not sure if that is always the case. But was quite satisfied. First time at CAVA because my sister and I were craving Mediterranean food. We were fortunate enough to find street parking. The establishment is well-lit, spacious, and clean. It reminded me of Chipotle. I got the greens (romaine lettuce) + grains (brown basmati rice and some black lentils) with hummus and tzatziki spread. I selected grilled chicken and roasted vegetables as my proteins and added cabbage slaw, tomato + onion, cucumbers, tabbouleh, and feta as my additional toppings. As for dressings, I got all the non-spicy sauces on the side. Our server was very friendly and patient with us as he walked us through all the different items and provided recommendations. Overall, my sister and I were both super happy with our freshly made bowls. Everything tasted absolutely delicious with incredible flavor. For only $10-11, our bowl was filled with quality and quantity. Our bellies were super satisfied. Only item that I wasn't a fan of was the complimentary mini pita. It was a little hard and stale. My new go-to spot! Cava definitely lives up to all the hype -- very yummy, very customizable, and also relatively healthy! The lines do get crazy long around lunch and dinner hours, so definitely watch out for that though it did move pretty quickly. I also ordered a side of pita chips, which are probably my favorite things on the menu. I think they ran out when I ordered but brought it out later on, they were very fresh and hot but a bit more dark & burnt than usual. read more

I am a big fan of CAVA. But I want management to know that this location is perpetually understaffed and employees seem to really struggle as result of it. Service times during peak hours are longer than eating at a sit-in restaurant. Ingredients and toppings are constantly out of stock. The customer facing kitchen is filthy and unkempt. I like their food but unfortunately their service is very poor. I often do mobile order, and they always, and I mean ALWAYS, without a fail forget something and parts of my order are missing. They also often run out of items and will not refund you automatically if you mobile order. So you can place order for 3 pita chips and have them not added if they run out and they will still keep the cash. This happened to me and I only realized after I'd left. A lot of the workers unfortunately also have bad attitudes. It's sad because I really do want to love this place. read more

Allow me to start by saying, I usually love CAVA. However, this location is a disaster. I tried to make a mobile order through a third-party company during lunchtime today when both of my orders were canceled 10 minutes after ordering (doordash and ubereats). I then called and was informed that they stopped excepting orders due to a high volume of traffic. With the same craving from earlier in the day, I went after work, in person, around 9:15 PM (atypical eating time/shortly before close). Noy only did it take me 30+ minutes to actually get my food and leave (8-10 people line). On top of it they were out of several menu items, I wish I was lying when I say they only had 2 sauces available. No chips, no corn, no onions, no steak, etc. Lastly, and the reason why I write this review when I got home to open my food, I discovered that I was given the wrong bowl. I now sit here, writing this review with a bowl containing food ingredients. I am allergic to. Wasted money, wasted time, and now no dinner. Even one of the employees told me that this location in particular is a disappointment, compared to others in the chain. it is evident that they do not have enough supply to adequately serve a normal days demand (literally a wednesday). while the staff is unable to keep track of customers orders. This used to be my favorite spot but it's a disaster now. Wait times are crazy, they're understaffed, they run out of a bunch of things. After waiting in line for 40 minutes, they didn't have half of the items and what they did have was sloppy. I also noticed food on the ground. The person making take out orders literally picked up a trash can with her gloves on and then continued to heat up pita bread with those gloves and make new bowls. That's disgusting. Fist time visit for me. 6-6-24. We got there early, just before 11:00am. At first glance, it appeared to be very unorganized. We were ordering for our office. They had no steak for the wraps, no broccoli for the spicy green salad, so for me, I was not impressed at all. We had to call people back in the office from the line to ask what else they wanted because they didn't have and steak today. You should be prepped and ready to go if your open for business. The taste wasn't bad, but missing ingredients and paying full price does not sit well with me. Food was okay, 3 people liked their salad and wrap, 3 people were disappointed with missing ingredients and having to change their choice due to no steak and no broccoli. Customer service was not good at all. Thank you for responding with your standard response. As I read some other complaints, I see a lot of the same complaints and frustrations with the same standard response from you for quite some time. Instead of just sharing these complaints with whomever you claim to be, maybe implementing some changes would be better than just passing on the information. Just my opinion though. read more

First time here and had an awful experience with the girl helping me. Specifically the one with orange brown hair and black glasses. She seemed like she didn't want to work at all. I asked for a topping and she was annoyed and said we ran out. So I said okay and continued with my order and she scooped a topping I didn't ask for. I tried to stop her but she aggressively continued to throw it in my bowl. I told her not that one and she immediately was annoyed and offered to make a new bowl (because I don't eat cilantro and now my bowl was covered in it) she continued to roll her eyes and aggressively scooped my new bowl. I would definitely recommend the business make their menu board larger or put a smaller one on the ground so when you are in line you can make your choices. Cava is the best! We've been loyal patrons since they opened this location. Mediterranean food that's delicious and dependable. I always get the shredded lamb, seasoned to perfection and not overly salted. The salad bowl is the way to go, start with a salad base, rice, amazing black lentils, add a few delicious scoops of dips--beware of spice level in the Harissa--a little goes a long way, more veggie toppings, dressing? --- get on the side since dips make it very salient. They offer a slice of pita: take it!....good sponge towards bottom of bowl. And definitely try the garlic dressing on the side, super garlicky, could be slightly overwhelming with everything else. Aldo wash down with the strawberry lemonade, not too sweet, nice balance of sour, goes great with your meal. Enjoy! read more

This review is definitely bittersweet. My boyfriend and I loooove CAVA, and we will always come back because it's always so delicious. I love getting the greens + grains bowl with chicken and meatball, and I always have to get the pita chips! It's not the same without it. The dips and sauces really make the bowl so much more delicious. I usually get the crazy feta, hummus, and tzatziki! For sauces I love the skhug, garlic sauce, and the lemon herb tahini. It's really a meal I can have once a week because it's just that good. We've brought many people here, and have not once met someone who didn't enjoy it. Here are some of the cons: the employees are mostly young and unprofessional, so the customer service is a hit or miss. The quality control is almost non existent. The store can be a hot mess.. like the trash cans are overflowing, there's no napkins, restrooms are dirty, etc. They're constantly running out of various items, and when I've ordered online, there has been multiple times our order was missing things. The first time was the protein (chicken), another time was the pita bread, and another time was the sauces. However, for the two times we've reached out to customer service, they've made it right which I really do appreciate. It seems like the company itself does care about their customers. I'm sure it's difficult running an operation when almost all the employees are really young, and don't really care about keeping things up to standard, so I understand which is why it's still getting 4 stars for me. I love how i'm able to build my own bowl so it contains only my favorite ingredients. We get a choice of greens, grains, protein (I get the "Harissa Honey Chicken" +$1.75), hummus, toppings, and dressing. I also like to add avocado (+$2.65) to my bowl. A lot of options of toppings and dressings and the signage is not clear. 6 dips 6 proteins + roasted veggies 14 toppings 6 dressings It's too many options for the new customer. Recommendations by the staff would make it easier. Also the pricing for the spicy meatballs is high. 4 meatballs for 1.75 extra. Would not recommend. Lentils and rice were under seasoned of at all. Okay, so when I first started eating here, the food was always on point, the staff also seemed to truly care about what you wanted in your bowl and was knowledgeable about what they had to offer; and the amount of food was perfect. NOW I'm reviewing based on my last two visits which were consistent. Consistently bad that is. First of all, the employees serving the food seem totally disinterested in what you wanted, to the point they barely make eye contact with you and/or offered a smile. Seems like they're there by force of their parents to "get a job" and/or being enslaved by Cava, LOL. The servers just kinda "slop" your food choices into the bowl. Both times, they gave me very little roman lettuce and rice on the bottom of my bowl. And the "sides" don't even equal a tablespoon, it's more like a teaspoon now. My meatballs were not fully emerged in broth, they were dried out and hard to cut (kinda like when you microwave food too long and it gets hard). As for the tables, there was no one coming out to wipe them down after each patron ate and left; so I had to wipe my table down with the napkins. Seems like: 1) they don't have a manager; or 2) no one is managing the place and/or the employees here. My advice to the Manager (if one exists) / employees: I know times are tough and no one wants to work; but if you don't like where your working at, change jobs and quit making "good places" like Cava go downhill because you don't give a phuck. This review is for Jenna whom I had a great experience with today. She offered great customer service, was efficient, and polite. I was highly impressed with her level of patience and multi tasking. This location is soooo short staffed it's horrible management doesn't care or bother to correct the issue. I've come here plenty of times and the level of cleanliness and efficiency has depleted drastically. Long Waits, young staff, and lacking in quality. Today I came in and Jenna was multi tasking with online orders and the long line of customers she had to serve. Some of the staff here look confused and not willing to jump in and help. Jenna multi tasked and I was shocked that she kept her cool while being so polite. Hopefully this location gets it together and gets some more efficient staffing to help. Cava is soooo good! I love how it's chipotle style and you can order which ever items you want. I usually get the small black beans, mixed greens, and the chicken. They have lots of sauce options and hummus sides. This place is not like any other restaurants I typically go to, so I crave this often. They are super generous with their portions too! I can always save half of it for another meal later. I wish they would open one in the IE. I come here whenever I'm in the Pasadena area, it's always one of the first restaurants that pop up in my head when I'm here! read more
