I feel like Panera is pretty hit and miss a lot of times and it depends on the location you go to. It has been awhile since I've been to this location. I wasn't greeted, ordered on the tablet went to wait for my order and the girl behind the counter asked my name and gave me my cups which I appreciated. The drink station was dirty, needed to be stocked. There were quite a few people here so maybe it was lunch rush and they just hadn't gotten the chance to clean up but a lot of the tables were dirty. The table sat at was in the back area, they seriously need to do a deep clean, there was splash spots on the walls, the table although it was "clean" felt sticky. I ordered the chicken walnut sandwich this was my favorite for the longest, and it lacked flavor. My husband had a tuna sandwich and he said the same thing about his. My son ordered a Cesar salad and the Italian sandwich he liked his. We also ordered chocolate chippers, those were good. My husband and I had lunch at this location and his was actually good. I ordered the new Strawberry Poppyseed Chicken Salad and ordered the 16 ounce frozen strawberry lemonade. I was pretty hungry and I saw the picture up on the menu and it looked delicious. My salad didn't look anything like the picture and my drink was more like a 4 ounce white icy looking thing. It was barely edible. The lettuce was old and yellow, and the fruit was actually pretty good. We won't be going back there at that particular location for a while if ever. This Panera stays pretty busy. That being said I feel staff does a good job getting orders out in a timely manner. I ordered 2 "choose 2" meals, a chicken noodle soup, and a kids meal. I decided to self order and personally the experience was kind of annoying lol - the kiosk asked one to many questions for me, so you want to sign up for rewards, how do you want to pay, which type of payment, what's your phone number, do you want a receipt, what's your name ( I kept thinking I was done and it would ask ANOTHER question) Overall the restaurant was clean, but the pickup area for the orders could use a good wipe down (splatters of drinks on the wall) I tried the new croissant sandwich with aioli and added tomatoes and bacon. It was DELICIOUS! The mac and cheese, broccoli and chicken noodle soup also did not disappoint. And of course the brownies are SO good. Who doesn't love double chocolate? read more

I'm not generally a fan of Panera but this location has been very good to me every time in in AZ. The staff is friendly and efficient, the dinning area is clean, and lastly the food seems to just be better at this location than the ones near my home. If you're a local or just passing through, I would recommend giving it a try. I like the flat bread pizzas and there was a limited time sandwich I tried recently (December 2024 - pictured) that I can't remember the name of but it was very tasty. read more

We go to this location once a month and last month we had breakfast. We ate egg white sandwiches and ordered Strawberry Oatmeal and for drinks green teas. The sandwiches were cold and egg was cold but didn't think nothing maybe because it had 1 slice of avocado don't know why so cheap since we do pay for food and oatmeal was cold and poor serving. After leaving at 9am around 1pm 3 of us started feeling sick to our stomachs. The following day we were throwing up, diarrhea none stop and felt dehydrated. We ended up going to hospital were Dr told us we had food poisoning. Took about 1 week until we were feeling better. Make sure employees wash hands and wear gloves when making food for customers! So gross never ever will we eat at any Panera. Disgusting just thinking of the food we had the day we went to have breakfast! read more

My wife placed an order on the app and when we picked up our order it was missing a baguette. I went over to tell them it was missing they went over to get their manager (I'm assuming) and she told me it was just a piece of baguette and ripped a tiny piece and put it in a bag. This is the worst panera bread. Every time I go there they mess up my order. I'm allergic to blue cheese. I went there today asked for no blue cheese and extra apple chips. Food is good but the 3 stars is for the poor service. The last three times I've picked up my to go order my bowl is literally thrown together and looks so sloppy like they made no effort to make it look appetizing. Ok this had built up. On Wednesdays we fast with bread and water. Just personal thing my family does. Most often I bake bread for the day. Some days are just so busy that baking is not really ideal. There is a Panera bread nearby in Avondale arizona. They deliver bread so it would be reasonable to assume in days where things get busy they could help out. I pray more than I want but at least I do not have to make the bread. 3 orders ago I go to pick up my order to discover they didn't have the bread I ordered and allowed me to make a substitute. Fine, had to wait until they got it all worked out, was not in an immediate rush so no real issue just an annoyance. 2 orders ago I made an order to be delivered. I then went and did work outside. Came back in after working in the arizona sun shortly before my wife was to get home. I have text messages from Panera telling me they are out of bread and had to cancel my order. I made the order early afternoon. For those who do not know latin, Panera basically means bread. They is their whole reason to exist. Now my wife is nearly home from an hour long commute and I have nothing fresh for dinner and had to scramble. I have a special needs child so I can not just pick up and go. Not very happy AGAIN. Today, I tried again. Placed an order and went to work outside around the house making some repairs and modifications to the yard. This time I kept my phone near by incase they text again. No text but no good either. Thought maybe they are running late and I will give them some more time. I checked and still no text. I finally pull up the app and click, track my order. It tells me the order was delivered an hour earlier. I walked around to make sure it was not delivered to wrong house before I call them. Nothing, so I call and I have to listen to their recording announcements before I am even given an option to choose from. Finally I get the option to deal with a delivery issue. The phone rang 27 times from the time I started counting, before I finally hung up. I called again and got an employee who was kind enough to tell me my order was ready if I wanted to come and pick it up. Let's be clear. I paid for the delivery service and added a 15% tip and I'm told I can come pick it up. I am for a manager. The manager tells me that it isn't her fault it is Door dash. I need to take it with them. I pointed out that I didn't order it through door dash but through Panera website, making her issue. She asked if I still wanted the food. I told, I did want the food but I wanted the tip refunded. She told me that she would see if she could get them to deliver and would call me back. 2 1/2 hours later no food, no refund, and no phone call. If all panera are run like this, I'm amazed they survived covid, but then again, there are many companies that should have gone under because their customer service was so bad, but they played the covid card to excuse their bad service. I plan to make sure I tell friends and family about how bad this Panera is and my general impression about the company as a whole. No more hiding behind covid read more
