We love Cava. I go to Cava all the time, normally in Kyle, but I've now come to this location about 4X now. Consistency is the only issue that I experience when I come here. Twice it's been great, twice it's been meh but definitely not bad. Portions are fine, the sauce distribution or remembering to put sauce on the side is inconsistent. Twice I did not ask for it on the side, and it was drowning in sauce and not enjoyable. The service though? Every time the staff is so nice. Even if I'm coming to pick up - they're kind, say hello and have a great day, and I appreciate the experience from start to end each time. The restaurant is very clean, plenty of areas to sit even when it is busy during lunch, I love the soda brand they use (local and uses real cane sugar), and their juices are delicious every time! The food was actually pretty good, on my lettuce and grain bowl, but the girl behind the counter sure did cut back on the lettuce, barely half a bowl of lettuce. The bowls are supposed to come with pita bread and when I asked about it, she said you have to buy it and she pointed at the pita chips. Since they didn't give us the bread that comes with the bowl, my husband bought the pita chips which we found to be nothing but fried bread with tons of salt. When I went back and asked if I could get bread that wasn't fried, they informed me that the bowls were supposed to come with a piece of bread, but yet the girl who was fixing, my bowl told me that it did not come with pita. The food is decent enough, but you really have to watch these bozos because their head isn't on right! read more

Kelly was incredible. This was my first time ever going into a Cava restaurant and to be quite honest, I never even knew what it was when I would see it passing by. I need nothing about the menu nothing about what they're offerings were or anything. One employee was extremely crass and impatient with me and it rubbed me the wrong way. She wouldn't listen to what I wanted or what I pointed at and just expected me to go down the line quickly. As someone who has never even seen this establishment ever before, her character was certainly a repellent for me ever coming back again. However, Kelly was a doll. She was patient and soft spoken and really set in the moment despite my stone face. She softened me up after the experience with her co-worker and I appreciate her for making sure I got exactly what I needed. Thank you so much Kelly! So what did I order? I ordered the steak + harissa for myself and a custom salad for my mom with the basic components starting with the greens and greens bowl. Mine: Steak + Harissa Steak, Crazy Feta, red pepper hummus, tomato + onion, cucumber, feta, slaw, brown rice, greens, harissa vinaigrette I didn't deviate from what the original pairings were except for I took off the feta due to my lactose intolerance. This bowl was incredible. Omg. I was not expecting the combination of flavors. It was citrusy and rich and smooth and hearty all-in-one. What a wonderful recipe. Absolutely going to order this bowl again. Delish! 10/10 And their lemonade?? OMG. So bright and sweet but not overpowering. I don't know what they put in this lemonade but it is certainly tasty. 10/10 (My mom also loved her bowl) The inside of the restaurant was clean and bright and there were so many people coming in and out and even dining in. Since I could not stay that day, I want to have a quick lunch date here and actually dine in. Wanted to try a different "chipotle-style" place for a quick meal. Parking was luckily open but this town square area is usually pretty packed, so keep that in mind! The store is very clean and neat. Their menu is simple enough and ingredients are fresh. Prices are on par with other places like this. Just personally for me I like my Mediterranean foods separated on my plate where I can eat different portions as I wish, rather than having it all mixed in a bowl. I'm not a picky eater but just prefer that with this kind of food. I probably won't come back but in a pinch I would choose this over other crappy fast food as it's obviously their ingredients are better than most. read more

This CAVA is very close to Chipotle giving them some competition Concept is the same, pick your own grains, greens, and toppings. Food tastes fresh and was filling without making you bloated.One of my favorite toppings is the pita crisps which gives your bowl or pita some texture. Staff were kind. Ok I loooooved my meal from here. It's like the Mediterranean version of Chipotle- you pick whether you want a bowl or pita wrap, and then as you walk down the line you pick the ingredients you want them to add to your bowl. Each bowl comes with 3 sauces- even if you only like 2 of the sauces, I'd recommend that you pick double of one sauce so that you don't run out of sauce to mix with your food. There was a lapse in time at the front of the line, so I looked into the kitchen and made eye contact with a woman I hadn't seen before who was cutting chicken. I was going to meet some friends. While I understand staff can get busy, tables need cleaning. I asked staff to clean a table where we'd sit. I ordered pita chips and tzatziki. Both are delicious. My friends seemed to enjoy their food. There's free parking around the corner or metered parking up front. I didn't order a drink but previously had one. I think I had a cucumber limeade and it was delicious. I went into the gender neutral restroom. There was no toilet paper. I left and told a staff member. An employee brought toilet paper. I am not sure who is responsible for cleaning the bathroom. While he brought toilet paper, he should have fetched whoever cleans the bathroom. It had something to be desired. read more

I love Cava and frequent this location. However, I wish there was another location closer because the customer service is sub par. Every time I visit, one of the workers has an attitude about something! Here recently, the cashier was approached by a customer that wasn't happy about her online order and the cashier was totally out of line and even raising her voice over the customers suggesting that the customer "call the manager" because she doesn't care. The majority of the time I try to get in and get out without making eye contact at this point because I don't want any problems!! However. . .a few days ago, I noticed that they forgot to put my bread in my bag and when I asked for it, I was given an evil stare, but got my bread. :( I want to mention that the food is always on point but this location may need to find better help. I've got to say, not totally impressed with the service but the food tasted good. Before I went to Cava I look at their website to decide what I wanted to get. I chose the Greek Chicken Pita. When I got to Cava and asked about it, they told me they couldn't do it as a pita because they would charge me extra but could do it as a bowl and give me pita bread. In a hurry I said that worked. When I got to the cashier I found out it was $15!!! I mean, I'm not a Penny pincher by any means but this is a fast (ish) food restaurant since they make it in front of you and I was shocked by the price. The bowl, however, was great! After moving to Houston, this is the first time I've been able to try my local Cava location. I received my order via delivery through UberEats. Therefore, I cannot comment on the service of the employees at this location. As far as the food goes, the meal was fresh and tasty. They did forget to provide my included fresh pita, and I did notice a lack in the amount of food that I normally receive from other locations. Especially in protein, salad, and veggies. It seemed that they removed Fresno peppers from their menu, which is disappointing because I loved them! The bowl shmacked though. I've placed a screenshot of the order in this review for anyone to try - it is vegetarian friendly. Taste wise this was a 10/10, quantity was a 6/10. I will have to go again to this location to see if the quantities remain low. I also opted to try the Pita chips with toasted red pepper hummus. Wonderful soft crunch and flavored seasonings. Then choose your protein, they even have lamb if thats your thing. It was my first time and I was not impressed. It was just so so. I had the falafel crunch bowl. The staff didn't help much on the order procedure. I really enjoy good crunchy, crisp falafel and sadly the pitiful two small and I mean small falafel balls were mushy, barely warm and missed the mark by a long shot. Remember it is called a crunchy bowl. So much for crunchy plus for an additional crunch it was supposed to come with pita chips and I got none. Again, where is the crunch? The roasted vegetables were mostly carrots and they were cooked to mush and not very palatable. The roasted Brussel sprouts were good so too bad there were only a few. The black lentils were tasteless. The best part of the not so crunchy bowl was the tomato cucumber mix, pickled cucumber, romaine lettuce and pickles. A colleague took me out to lunch here, because it's her go to when she travels to the East Coast. The name made me assume it had to do with sparkling Spanish something, but it didn't! This is essentially a Middle-Eastern Piada or Chipotle. I followed my colleague, since this was my first time. I got a bowl with half splendid greens and half saffron-rice with 3 scoops (tahini, hummus, and harissa), topped with beans and baba-ghanoush. It was delicious - my colleague opted for pita chips. We both opted for tea and had a lovely lunch outside on a rare, non humid, but warm day in Houston. What was also nice is that we both had enough leftovers for dinner. So, in spite of how Cava is claiming "coming soon" it is very much here and functioning, and delicious. I hope I never run of delicious places to eat in this town. read more
