I don't want to unfairly score this Dimassis compared to others that I've been at. The food here was excellent. However, there was zero service. When I frequented other Dimassi establishments a server usually is taking drink orders and clearing plates, etc. That did not happen at this facility. Additionally, their overall selection was slightly smaller than other Dimassis I've been to. Still, the restaurant was very clean, and the food was good. However, given that, in this particular ZIP Code, there are literally dozens and dozens of other restaurant choices, I probably would not come back to this over other options like the Cheesecake Factory directly across from it. read more

This location has stale food, poor customer service and it's so pathetic that the hostess allows people in at 8 pm knowing the kitchen closes at 8 pm and the restaurant itself at 9 pm hence you eat the stale leftovers and pay $20 for all of that. I'm usually not a big fan of Mediterranean food, but I decided to give Dimassi's Sugar Land a try recently. The restaurant is pretty small and clean, and there is a pretty decent variety of dishes/drinks available. The service was good for a self-serve buffet, and for about $24 per person for all-you-can-eat on a weened evening, you really can't beat that price. They have a wide variety of appetizers, salads, soups, vegetables, dips, rice, meats, sides, and desserts. My favorite was absolutely the Dimassi's grilled chicken. It was really juicy and flavorful, especially when a fresh batch just came out. I also really liked the fried fish, the fried cauliflower, and the rice with vermicelli. I didn't try any of their appetizers such as pizzas and pita breads because they looked dry and a bit unappetizing. I also didn't get any lamb shank because I don't like lamb, but their lamb shanks were super popular among the customers. Self-serve rose water, mint lemonade, and fountain drinks were complimentary with the buffet, and I really loved their mint lemonade. For desserts, my favorite was the rice pudding. read more

Dimassi's, my old friend. After avoiding the League City location for a while, I must say, the Sugarland location is much better. It's a smaller location, but they have about the same menu options and good service. The price for the buffet is also a lot cheaper here after the one near me raised their prices twice. The food was very good for a buffet style restaurant. The lamb shank and lamb dishes were the star of the show. But that also means if you're like some of my friends who don't like lamb, you'd be missing out on a big part of the experience. Their signature grilled chicken and beef kabobs were also great though. Drinks also come free with the buffet. You have the usual soda fountain to self serve from, but also their specialty rose water and mint lemonade are a unique and refreshing choice that you can't get in many other places. Overall, if you can enjoy the variety of Mediterranean specialties they offer, this is an easy 5 star. If you're a bit more picky with food choices, the buffet won't be as great of value though. read more

This is one of my go-to Mediterranean spots and I get a craving for it about once every 3 months. The food is always pretty fresh and flavorful. Even if you're not very knowledgeable about Mediterranean food I'm sure you can find something you like from the variety on their buffet. The reason why I have deducted a star is because their tzatziki sauce is not as good as other non-buffet gyro places in the area and on my last 2 visits I noticed gnats in the restaurant. Hopefully they can get it figured out but a couple gnats ain't gonna keep me away from ayce gyros and kafta. read more

This place has good food. There's a big variety of food. Everything is yummy and the lamb shank is one of their bests. The cashiers are pretty friendly and check you out fast. The Ice Cream is AWESOME! There's ice cream for no extra cost and a nice selection of desserts. However it's pretty crowded and it is a little bit too close together and packed in. The space is sometimes loud, but the tables are close together. Overall, it's a good place to eat at and it is pretty affordable. read more

Their rose water beverage is excellent (unique and refreshing and unlike any other beverage), as is there mint lemonade. Nice assortment of fruits and copious vegetables. Good ole Dimassis. My old stomping ground every week. Thursdays were my days of the week to visit Dimassis and sometimes Mondays, making it twice a week. On a resent Trip to Houston, we ended up at Dimassis for lunch. The quality and items were the same. Went with my usuals. A plate full of assorted meats, while the other plate was full of sides such as ( tabouli hummus Baba G salad potatoes yogurt rice). We enjoyed our food. Service was fine. Dimassi's has been a favorite of mine since my first visit at the Galleria location nearly 20 years ago. A coworker introduced me to this place and I have tried to do the same for others. The taste, quality, freshness, and variety are the points that keep bringing me back. This buffet starts off much like others: salad and veggies. Dimassi's has hummus, greek salad, pasta salad, baba ghanoush, and so much more. I like to try a dab each of their three hummus: classic, red pepper, and a green one (avocado maybe?). All creamy, excellent texture, and it goes with nearly every other dish they have. My other favorites include rice pilaf, falafel, chicken breast, beef strips, seasoned potatoes, fish, and tomato stewed green beans. The chicken breast is some of the juiciest chicken I have ever eaten before, literally fall of the bone. And the flavors are amazing. I am always on the look out for a fresh batch of falafels. When they are extra crispy! I dip these in the hummus and I think I could eat the whole tray. read more

It is the politest crowd allowing for a quiet stress-free lunch with such pleasant and polite people to be around. If you are a regular, they spoil you beyond belief. As Grandparent and old retired person is so delightful seeing so many families with incredibly loved children who are ever mindful of their neighboring tables. We came here for the dinner buffet on a weeknight. The place was quite busy, and we opted to sit outside for a quieter meal with our friends. We've never been before, so it was a little weird to just walk in, grab a plate and start piling on the food. It's all self serve including drinks and just pay at the end. My fav things from the buffet were the grilled fish and gyro meat. Chicken on rice was ok. Liked the avocado hummus and pita bread. Okra and grilled vegetables were my fav of the sides; not the potato salad. They also had some cantaloupe and oranges. I tried all the desserts: the red & green jello thing was kinda floral and not what I was expecting. The rice pudding is too much cinnamon or nutmeg or something that I didn't like. The jam cookie was too dry and the coconut cake thing had some floral taste too that was odd to me. Baklava was quite sweet even for me, but did meet my baklava craving! I haven't had it in years!! Overall, good food, friendly staff (very good at cleaning up our plates even outside) and nice time enjoying the outdoor patio (weather permitting). read more

Ive wanted to try this place for years and today was my chance. After a 2 hour workout, I decided to treat myself to a healthy brunch. I arrived as soon as they opened and everything was fresh. You seat yourself, fix your plate, grab your drink and pay on the way out. They have a variety of Mediterranean food including 4 types of hummus, salad, pastas, kale and broccoli, rice with lentils, fish, chicken and gyro. This is my sort of place. It's $23.80 on Friday after 4pm thru Sunday. I can only eat one plate at buffets so this wasnt bad for one plate. You get 10% when you check in on Yelp! The cashier was new so she had to call someone to figure out the discount but all is well. This is an awesome place for vegans. I will be returning in the future. read more

Even though lots of people are now vaccinated (as of Oct 2021), it's still a good practice to be extra careful. The food is great. I love their tabouli, assortment of humus, falafel, egg plant dish, and gyro meat. There are so many different flavors in one dish! The chicken dishes can sometime be a hit or miss though because it can be a tad bit dry, but I guess it depends on how long it sits there. During our entire meal, no one came by to clear our plates. Hands down the best restaurant in the US. Have been here numerous times and yet want to always come again. Price is even better. Where can you get such a nice and healthy menu that too like 11 dollars for kids and under 20 dollars for adults. I have tried the Dimassi on sage road and the one in Richmond.
