Oh, and the best dressing is the Lemon one, but a lot of people like Fresh Herb. It's a lovely large location with a little room in the back as well, so there's plenty of places to sit and eat. It's definitely one of the better locations that we have been to, and it's part of the super fancy mall and pretty gorgeous outside in a modern "shopping village" way. The better locations are Weslayan (#1 fave, the best employees and biggest salads!), Gray (some great employees, good salad) and I-10 next to Energy Corridor/Hwy 6 (great ingredients, #2 fav!). However, I had to increase the rating because a couple of the employees were really friendly, although one of them a little bit less so. The reason I rounded up from four to five stars is because of the girl that was here that recognized me from Yelp. She was so excited and happy and extraordinarily lovely to us. She was thrilled that the person who reviews all the salad places had come in. I'm usually told that I'm the person that reviews all the boba places, but salad is more healthy so it's nice to be associated with that as well. She is the reason I will definitely be back to this location. I love Salata but I was fairly disappointed with my recent experience in Sugar Land. I ordered online through the app and came in to pick up after work. I took a quick look in the bag and saw that everything was there: salad, baked pita chips, silverware. When I got home, all ingredients were on my salad, but portions were off. It's almost as if they put a small salad in a regular container. Barely any salad when I asked for Salata Mix & spinach. My boss took me out for lunch on my birthday earlier this year, and she allowed me to choose the location, so I chose Salata (she and I have different "tastes" in food) as it was a good compromise. Salata held up, but since it was my birthday, I opted for 2 cookies too! This was my first time getting a cookie at Salata, and it was good - I was surprised because I don't usually think of "salad places" as having good cookies. It wasn't super warm or soft, but it was a good addition post-meal. I also saved 1 cookie for my post lunch coffee + snack that usually happens around 2pm. I opted for a regular sized salad with seasoned chicken, veggies, a few seeds, and a side of dressing. Their service is exactly what's needed for the lunch rush, and I liked that I could get my dressing on the side. I was just looking for something really simple and chill for dinner. I chose this spot because it seemed like I could get some thing that was an Uber heavy. This is basically make your own salad/wrap which is something I very much fancy. I got to pick everything that I want it in my ramp and since I'm a picky eater sometimes I love that. The girls that help me were very accommodating, I asked for a side of radishes ( which I know is weird ) and they had no problem charging me three dollars for it and I have no problem paying the three dollars for it as well. Salata's a great place to go when you are trying to eat a little healthier. I got the wrap which is basically a huge salad wrapped in tortilla. They have a huge variety of greens, veggies, protein, and sauce choices. It's basically a salad bar. You choose exactly what you want in your meal so it's pretty hard to go wrong unless you don't know your own tastebuds. The side of sesame chips they give youvare great and go very well with the wrap. Let me preface my review by saying that I love Salata as a chain. I've been to several around Houston and have never had any issues. However, I've come to this Salata probably twice in the last 3 years because the service is consistently awful. They're definitely a lot more stingy with their toppings at this specific location and they are 100% not as friendly. I have reported my complaints to the Salata headquarters (based in Houston) and was told each location operates independently. I'm writing a review because there was a fly in one of my salads and am being told I need to come in person to get a full refund and a manager wouldn't speak to me over the phone. A refund on food with a bug in it- shouldn't be an inconvenience to the customer. The manager had her employee go back and forth with me like a hostage negotiator and I felt so bad that I had to end the call with the young man hearing my complaint. Hands down my very favorite lunch spot. They have the freshest ingredients. Yes it's in the pricey side, but each morsel of deliciousness is worth every penny. It's like a chipotle or subway but 1000x better and for salads. You start by telling the waiter if you want a salad or wrap, (I always go for salads - the large size of course) then choose what ingredients you want from a plethora of mouthwatering options. I just about always go for the fresh herb dressing, it's tangy and perfect. I tried the tuna once, wasn't as impressed as I am with the amazing shrimp, or the herb marinated chicken that I go for when I'm trying to save a dolla. There are so many ingredients here - it's like a salad lover's dream. Even if you're someone who doesn't normally like salads, surely among the 100 or so ingredients you can piece together a salad that will suit your tastes! Sometimes you have to tell the employee(s) to put a little extra of an ingredient you really like because there are SO many choices that they end up just putting a small amount of each ingredient. DO watch the employee(s) closely as they're putting your salad together. It's probably really mind-numbing and repetitive work, so sometimes they mis-hear you and/or accidentally get the wrong ingredient... usually not a big deal, but if they accidentally put in a salad dressing that you dislike, then you'll have to start all over. One employee did that to my mom's salad and then got upset because the salad had to be redone, but it was the employee's own mistake, not my mom's... Be sure to pick a starch (bread, pita chips, etc.) because it's included in the price of your salad. read more

They are misleading about their prices, weren't friendly at all, and all of their food looked premade like it had been sitting out for a long time. I love this place!! I was surprised to how much I have grown to really enjoy dining here. I am on a vegetarian diet for religious reasons so when it came to searching for appetizing meals that would satisfy my pallette and satiety, I went on a whim to try Salata out. I venture into the Sugar Land Town Center often and reallly needed to try out these new restaurants in the area other than my usuals. It is located across from Starbucks and next to Taisho. It is actually a big place with a large screen TV in the back of the restaurant near the restrooms. There are about 3 tables outside for patio seating as well. It is a build your own salad or salad wrap. Think of it as a Salad chipotle. You stand in line at the beginning of the salad bar where you begin to tell the Prep person dressed in white with a white chef hat to complement, of your desire for a salad or wrap. They take a big silver bowl for your salad or wrap and you begin selecting your salad. 4 types to choose from and you can even mix. I get the Salata mix salad with some spinach. Choose your additional toppings...me? Tomato, cucumbers, olives, bell peppers, cheese, sun dried tomatoes, pasta, mushrooms, tofu, and cheese. Next is the protein if you want any but I opt out. They have shrimp, chicken, and seafood mixes. They have a great selection of dressing which they do allow you to sample prior to pouring it in your dish. I get the lemon vinegrette and spicy chipotle dressing. I also add avacado for an up charge of $1. I get my wrap wrapped in either cool cucumber or southwest tortilla. Served with pita chips and I complete it with a cup of tomato basil soup. This is a compete meal that just fills me right up. If not, i usually have left over soup. Their Tea is also awesome so dont forget to try those. Service is great. I haven't had any problems. They were always friendly and fast. I have even gone twice in one week. So if you want to get full and have a light meal... Head here!! My FAVORITE salad bar in Houston. I love being able to choose all my ingredients, but also have my salad prepared and tossed for me! I usually get the half kale and half salata salad mix, load it with veggies, a sprinkle of feta and get their awesome house dresing. Topped with baked tofu and a few croutons and BAM. Perfect salad. I came here yesterday and my food was so good I thought about it all day at work today. I was absolutely looking forward to coming back here today for lunch. When I got in line I let them know I wanted a large salad to go. Without the dressing tossed. They proceeded to put it in a bowl. I ask for a to go container because I didn't want the lettuce on top of the salad and all the other stuff on the bottom. They continued to make my salad in the bowl refusing to give me a to go container as I asked five times. When I went to pay for my salad that was 11.50 every topping was on the bottom and it's just lettuce on top how am I supposed to go to work and eat that? I let the manager know that I asked from the beginning for my salad to be put in a to go container since I wasn't having a tossed with the dressing.
