Our son and daughter-in-law raved about the "healthy" food at this place and we met them for a very tasty lunch. We snarfed a couple Alamo plates with a plethora of goodies, brown rice, shredded kale, TX blend of shredded cheeses, cherry tomatoes, black beans, diced red onion, tortilla chips, roasted pieces of chicken thigh and a killer chipotle-lime vinaigrette and a squeeze of lime....came with a slice of sourdough.....amazing. The girls both got Meditteranean protein plates, white basmati rice, roasted pieces of chicken thigh, mozzarella-tomato salad, warm chickpeas, roasted broccolini, hummus, tzatziki spicy harissa, yum. Our granddaughter got her own plate, a bento box wit' grilled brussel sprouts, grilled cauliflower, brown rice and grilled chicken which she kept trying to feed to grandma. The Kids meal was half price. We shared three cookies between 3 adults and 2 grandbabies, one L&G cookie, a brownie and one rosemary shortbread cookie. Everybody got to taste my berry smoothie. Everything we tried was very good. We'll be back for more of these "healthy" goodies.

Decided to come back for another delicious meal. We got the Veggie salad and Thaiger king salad. Both were SO delicious. The serivce was quick and timely. The food was flavorful and the restaurant itself was clean and tidy. Would def come back everyday if i could!

I have driven by this spot so many times, and I always told myself I would stop by. I finally got around to it, and it was well worth the wait The exterior is very inviting, with a well lit entrance, cozy patio seating, and visible signage. The interior is exceptionally clean and clean, spacious, and trendy I was impressed my the signature salad/bowl options. There are so many fresh ingredients available, everything looked and sounded delicious The person assisting me with my order was one of the nicest employees I'd interacted with in a long time. Great suggestions, small talk, and he made me feel welcome and well taken care of There is a big/long menu above the ordering station with clear names, ingredients, etc. The salads/bowls aren't overly pricey, and for the amount of components you get, I found there to be an incredible amount of value The food was tasty and fresh. Everything was made to order, but didn't take too long to assemble Some tips: Ask someone who works there way they recommend. Definitely ask for some of their sour dough on the side, it pairs really well with any bowl. The fresh/healthy drinks are very delicious and are noticeably "healthy," but in the best way possible Cheers!!

Wow wow wow! Such an amazing healthy restaurant! Think of this as a healthy version of chipotle & cava if they had a baby. They have bowls, salads & actual plate dishes if you're more on the hungry side. When you first walk in for the first time it is a bit confusing where to order due to there being no clear signage/arrow or line divider saying to order here sort of like chipotle. Once you get there the staff is friendly and offer suggestions and top items most people order. I got the Common Table grain bowl and it was DELISH! So happy I found this and will forever be a returning customer :) the cookies there are also yummy!

Went here for the first time for weekday lunch. Was not busy at all but it seemed like they had a ton of call in or delivery orders. Every option looked amazing but was watching calories so went with this salmon dish. Man was it good. Was a great combination of flavors and I didn't use any dressing. I don't think I would have changed anything about it. I will definitely be going back.

Now that 2024 has rolled around, many of us are detoxing and trying to get ourselves set up with healthier habits while eating delicious food. Leaf & Grain embodies both, while maintaining consistency and has garnered a loyal following in the process. They're a stellar option in West U and certainly one of my favorite places to not just enjoy a good meal, but a meal that's good for you. I tend to prefer coming on the weekdays, as it's never too busy in here. The clean and bright interior makes this place an ideal spot for a quick lunch, meeting, or even a small gathering. They have limited outdoor seating and plenty of parking to boot. One cannot go wrong with either a grain bowl or a salad bowl. The Alamo or Common Table bowl has been my go-tos, and the L&G Caesar and the Autumn Harvest have been excellent salad choices. I particularly enjoy the seasonal offerings, which vary throughout the season but are great even if they are temporary. I've been hooked on their hot plates as of late, the French Country Dinner is a real treat. The smoothies are not talked about enough. The Chunky Monkey is always a fun choice, but the Leaf & Green is always a reliable choice. Berry Boost! is really great during the summer time, but the Strawberry Banana is actually a thumbs up for kids. To make things even more awesome, their ultra generous first time Yelp check-in offer (25%) is easily among the best in the area. Plenty of corporate chains do what Leaf & Grain does but very few do it as well. It's hard not to be impressed with all that Deets and his amazing team has done. Their empire has slowly grown to several locations, their quality and operations have never wavered. I am happy to support a local chain and truly feel they're one of the best local fast casual options in the city.

the salad was ok. the cucumber aqua fresca drink took a while to dispense. they also do not accept cash.

Leaf and Grain is a great healthy restaurant that primarily sells salad bowls. I do wish leaf and grain had better options for vegetarians. Most of their salad bowls have grilled chicken as the base protein. You customize everything. I replaced chicken for grilled tofu. However, I thought my salad was overpriced for the amount of tofu I got. I ordered the good greek salad. The salad was flavorful and dressing was tasty. Definitely get dressing on the side so you can adjust flavor to your liking. The complementary sourdough bread was also delicious. Compared to other salad places, Leaf and Grain is more pricey with less topping options for customizing your dish but it is a healthy lunch/dinner choice.

    Lemon caper salmon (to go)
    Jane O.

Ordered the lemon caper salad as part of a DoorDash group order. My salad was delicious--the salmon was well cooked, the green beans/arugula were fresh and overall happy with my order. On DoorDash the meal was listed for $16.98 so a bit on the pricey end for a lunch portion and unfortunately they only sent 1 fork for the 5 orders. That's pretty much the reason for the loss of a star as it was very inconvenient to have to then go on a hunt for eating utensils.

The pick up are; ordering is just to the right-all ingredients visible.

First, we got there pretty early for our reservation. We sat almost immediately upon check in. Our waiter was in training but did a really good job. Ordered a whiskey sour. Was seated at the bar so I got to watch it be made. The bartender- man that guy never stopped. He was organized and just did his thing. So many pretty drinks were made while I was there watching. The pink one, whatever it was, was really pretty! On to the food. We got two apps, two meals, and two desserts. Husband ordered the Brussels, Steak Frites, and the Devil's Affogato. I got the Bacon covered Dates, the Pizza, and the Sticky Toffee Cake. The Brussels were good - husband liked them more than me. They were good. Had cashews in them. Little spicy. The bacon covered dates. Think this was my favorite bite. Sweet, salty, creamy. Came we three & I had two. The pizza was sweet and salty as well. The crust was so good and fresh. The arugula set it off so well. Def a buy again! The Steak Frites was so good. The chimichurri sauce was perfect. Just the right mount of citrus. Steak was tender and the fries seasoned well. The desserts - don't skip them! The Devils Affogato we had the first time we ate at Sixty Vines. Had to have it again. If you like coffee, chocolate and vanilla ice cream just get it. Restaurant vibe is relaxed and clean. There were several large parties and what looked like a lot of date night guests. Just try it. No regrets!!

I might have just found one of my new favorite restaurants in Houston. What a great experience!…read more Recently, a good friend dined here and immediately called me to tell me how great it was. She then text our friends group and said we all had to come together and we did just that. She made reservations in advance as this place is popular thanks to recent Michelin Bib Gourmand awards as well as many other accolades. Walk ins are welcome as well. Our reservation was later in the evening so after a night of bar hopping, we ride shared in which I think is one of the best options as parking is limited here or you have to find street parking in the neighborhood. This place is literally a house turned into a restaurant. Inside is just multiple rooms with a couple of tables. It makes for a unique, intimate dining experience, perfect for a date night. In our case, we were a group of nine so we got patio seating. The patio is spacious and well kept, and if the weather cooperates, a great place to hang. One thing that really stood out to me is the amazing ambience of this place. I was told that the bartenders pick the music for the night from the owners extensive vinyl collection. Once the album is in, they play it in it's entirety. The sound system was systeming and on top of the great company and food, we were totally vibing with the music. Customer service was amazing. Every staff member we came across was so friendly, especially our server. The menu here changes. There are some mainstays, but they like to change things up. Their website shows current menus daily. We were told that family style is the best way to experience this restaurant. I am one of those people that will always listen to the staff and go with their suggestions. Our group went through quite a bit of their menu from apps, entrees and desserts. I loved that our server and staff brought our food out one by one in what they thought was the best progression so we could take a culinary journey. We started off light with their popular Dilly Bread. Best bread I've had in awhile. Next was the Texas Tartare. It was my first ever tartare and it was delicious. We then moved on to Fingerlingin Good which was a crispy potato dish with chili crisp and mascarpone. It was potatoes elevated to the highest level and so so good. Next up was Beer Battered Sweet Tots. I didn't think sweet potatoes could be that good. Our first entree was a vegan dish called the Carroty Kid. I could seriously become a vegan if all dishes tasted like this. It was curried. A bowl of jasmine rice would've made it a complete meal. Next we tried another famous Nobie's dish called Nonno's Pasta. Handmade, perfectly cooked tagliatelle with a delicious bolognese. I wouldn't share this next time. Ok, I will, but it was that good. On to the heavier dishes. First up was the Jamon With Your Bad Self. This came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It was favorite heavy entree. It was high quality, iberico pork steak with shaved brussels and all kinds of other tasty ingredients that when combined made such a tasty bite. We then went to the sea with the Drops of Grouperter. It was good, but not something I would order again. It was a little too smoky for my liking. Our biggest dish that came market priced was the Kick His Ass Seabass. This was a whole fish that was presented beautifully on a platter with all the accouterments to make your own elevated fish tacos. We left no morsel of fish behind. It was absolutely delicious. One of the things this place is really known for is their pies. This was the part I was most excited about. Just like their menu, their pies change up. We got all their offerings that night which they presented on one big platter of goodness. Their main stay and I believe always on the menu is the famous Olive Oil Cake. It's not a pie, but I can see why this is such a popular dessert. I can't even describe it, you just have to try it to understand. The pies we had were the Black Bottom Strawberry Pie, Banana Rum, and the Peanut Butter Pie. I would order all of them again. We all had a difference of opinion on which was the best, but my fave was the Banana Rum. Overall, I was highly impressed with this place and kind of mad at myself for waiting so long to make it here. It had made it's way to the top of my list of favorite restaurants in Houston. I will be back.

Had a 5:30pm resy, seated outside right away that Saturday evening--it was a full house 45 minutes later. You'd be a fool to skip the dilly bread--a complete fool! The rolls are pillowy and warm. I could eat the butter by the pint. The fingerlinging potato dish is also a must have...pretty small for $19 but tastes like heaven. Spicy! Zaddy was being a bit of a clutz that evening and knocked over my $20 mezcal cocktail, so what does he do? Orders me another one! (That's why he's "zaddy") ....kind of wish he hadn't...so wasn't worth the price tag. Skip it. The chicken dinner was definitely the winner--fresh, juicy breast, crispy skin...don't be cute, you won't finish it unless your party has at least 4 in it! The flies were ruthless! Very annoying! They were acting like the geekers that come bother you just outside your favorite fried chicken joint in south Dallas! Our waitress brought out a table fan so that made the experience a little more tolerable. The chocolate peanut butter pie tasted like a salt rock and the lemon chiffon pie had great flavor but not lemony enough for me. All in all this place is a bit pricey but truly a gem! Until next time, Nobie!

Bottom line is that Milton's should be your go to place for just good old Italian fare but in an upscale but not stuffy atmosphere. Mark Sayre - the restaurant groups beverage director hosted the charity dinner for my wife and I and 4 other guests. We were served 9 courses family style including a couple of cold plates, a couple of salads, a couple of pastas and a couple of entrees along with a dessert. Everything was fantastic and Mark did a great job of hosting and explaining the wine pairings. The best of the apps was the Sicilian Tar tar. Tuna, scallop and salmon perfectly marinated on crostinis. The Hearts of Palm Salad was excellent, and they are definitely sharable, probably made for 3 - 4 guests to share. Of the two pastas the Cresta De Gallo stood out the most, but the Bolognese was also virtually perfect. Of the two entrees we enjoyed the Chicken Piccata slightly more than the Hanger Steak. On our second visit, Ryan was our server. He had been our server at Underbelly, One Fifth and Georgia James in the past and remembered us immediately and was a wonderful host for the meal. This time the table enjoyed the Chargrilled Oysters and the Parsley Salad to start. We also sampled 4 pastas - The Cresta De Gallo again, the Chitarra with Scallops and Uni, the Lumache with Vodka Sauce and the Sourdough Tagliatelle. All were fantastic. My personal favorite was the Chitarra. In the end we finished off all 4 so no leftovers. We then shared the Chicken Piccata as our only entree. This dish is so good. Juicy Chicken, flavorful sauce, and the Sourdough Tagliatelle was the perfect accompaniment. We also enjoyed two desserts - The Budino (which is more like a chocolate tort than a pudding) and the Tiramisu. Both wonderful. If Milton's wasn't over an hour from our house, it would become a regular on the rotation. But it is definitely good enough to warrant many return visits.

They accommodated a baby and we saw a couple of other families present. I had always heard the Toasted Coconut was vegetarian friendly but there wasn't that many vegetarian options on the menu. The menu in the past had a vegetarian sandwich, but it looks like this has since been removed. I got the onion hash which was a large egg dish with black beans and potatoes. The overall vibe is casual and welcoming, making it a great place to grab a few drinks with friends or coworkers. The indoor and outdoor seating options are nice when Houston isn't blistering hot. Parking can be tough, though, since the lot is shared with a couple of other restaurants. That said, this recent visit was overshadowed by what was easily the most awkward and least customer-focused service experience I've had here. I was dining with a group of friends, and one friend ordered a meal to eat there along with another item to go. There was a little confusion when the order was placed, but we thought everything had been clarified. When the food arrived, both items were served on plates for the table. We politely explained that one of them was supposed to be a to-go order. It turned out the server had entered an additional order and believed we wanted both items for the table. What bothered me wasn't the mistake itself--those happen. It was the response. There was no apology, and instead we were told the misunderstanding was due to how we had communicated the order. We decided to keep all the food and move on, but the interaction felt unnecessarily defensive. I came a little late and was looking at the menu and asked whether they still had the fried eggplant dish that had been on the menu before. The response was simply, "No." No explanation, no follow-up, just an awkward silence. It set the tone for the rest of the interaction. So I decided to let her know I'll continue to look. This response was so uncomfortable that I later decided not to order anything at all. At one point, the server mentioned she had overheard us talking about having a "crazy weekend" and seemed to use that as an explanation for the earlier confusion. Whether there was miscommunication on both sides or not, the overall experience felt unnecessarily tense. I've typically had wonderful experiences here, which is why this visit stood out so much. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are still reasons I'd come back, but please avoid assigning Naya to customers if she's not willing to be a bit more cordial.

The front hostess, Annabella, was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel valued from the start. Our waiter was equally amazing and attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring we had a wonderful evening. We started with the deviled eggs and crab beignets, both of which were absolutely delicious. Their French onion soup was hearty. Drinks were fabulous too. For our meal, we ordered the mashed potatoes, cacio e pepe, pork schnitzel, blackened fish, miso fish, and burger, and every dish was perfectly prepared and packed with flavor. The restaurant went above and beyond by surprising my mother-in-law with a birthday dessert (upon my request when I had originally booked it), which was such a thoughtful touch and made the celebration even more memorable. We also enjoyed the pecan ball and chocolate soufflé, and both were outstanding. Between the incredible food, impeccable service, and special attention to our celebration, State of Grace exceeded all expectations. Annabella, our waiter, and the entire staff made the evening feel truly special. Easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in Houston, and we can't wait to return! I will be planning a girls night there soon!

Hollywood, va voom and metagorda all similar in taste to each other. The maison salad was delicious. Butter lettuce with the toppings and sauce was just enjoyable. The butter burger sliders were good. Just would like it thicker as it's too much bun. The cookie on the way out was so awesome, I almost went back in to grab another. Gingerbread I think. Avery was a wonderful bartender and kept up with entertaining conversations and was attentive to all service needs. Tried the g4 tequila reposado and it was very easy drinking.

The wings are good and at a great price point; I believe it was 9 wings for about $12, which is not bad at all. The broccoli, an add on side, was bland and cold. The chocolate croissant was okay. Service was quick walk in order at the counter and you can order at the table too off the app . Ambiance is calm and chill Overall, it's a great place with a solid menu, and they have happy hour as well. Check it out if you're in the area.

The restaurant is connected to one of the main parking garages. The first two hours are free which is convenient. It has a more casual feel because of the counter service setup. I like that they have a large menu. We visited on a Sunday afternoon which meant we had the option to order from the brunch menu. The dining area is a good size and they also have a nice patio which is where we sat. The staff was nice, but they were slow at times. The biggest issue was with the food. I ordered the Chicken Tenders which came with Fries and Honey Slaw. I also ordered a side of Broccoli. The Fries and Broccoli were cold while the Cole Slaw was too salty for my taste preference. The Chicken Tenders and dipping sauces (Cayenne Ranch and Honey Mustard) were tasty. One of my dining companions sent some of her food back because it was also served cold. One of the employees was going to reheat her food, and she had to ask for a new order to be brought out (which they reluctantly did). For my beverage I had the Blueberry Spritz which is a mocktail. It was very good and refreshing, but took quite a while to be brought to the table. The staff was nice enough to grab extra napkins and utensils for us when we asked which was very nice of them to do. Maybe it was just an off day for the staff and hopefully they have fixed the issue with serving cold food that is meant to be served hot. I'll wait a little while longer before returning.
