This is my regular Cava and im so disappointed, Came in here for a quick bite, stopped in the restroom but one of the employees in the back came out of the restroom and as he opened the door he took a hit of his little vape thing and left smoke all in the restroom. Right infront of me like he did not care. Doesnt matter if its "legal" but theres kids and people with breathing problems that might go in there. To top it off, my first bite of my salad had a piece of corner of the bags that their salads come in.. you can do better read more

This is easily one of my favorite Cava locations. The food is just as delicious and fresh as you'd expect, but what really stood out to me was the team working here. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and you can tell the place is well managed. Diosis, the manager, was especially kind and kept everything running smoothly. The line moved quickly, the restaurant was clean, and the whole experience felt really organized. I also appreciated how spacious this location is. There were plenty of tables available, and it felt cool and comfortable inside. All around, a great visit. Big thanks to the team and to Diosis for making it such a good one. read more

For the folks that don't know what CAVA is: it is a Mediterranean version of Chipotle. You choose what ingredients to go into your bowl. This is considered on the healthy side as far as fast food restaurants go. I've visited many CAVAs since they are a chain. This one 5/5 for the location, 4/5 for the food, and 3/5 for the service. This is located in the plaza at the intersection of Main Street and Lee Highway. So there is plenty of parking lot parking. There is ample seating indoors and outdoors. There are even individual seats with outlets (see pic). I've been here a couple of times and I have not had any issues with the quality of food. I do wish they filled the bowl more. Price for a bowl is around $11 now so I do want to get my money's worth. I like they you can choose to go half grains and half greens for the base. There is also pretty much unlimited toppings. Some proteins and toppings (like avocado) do cost extra though. But you can ask for pita bread on the side and this doesn't cost extra. The pita chips do, however. I normally just get a water cup since I am pretty frugal, but they do have some nice healthy juices (see pic). The service is what bring this place down though. I get that it is fast food, but would it kill the employees to greet you when you step up to the counter? There were a number of workers behind the counter when I stepped up but it took them a least a min to ask what I wanted. And there was nobody in front or behind me. When the worker added the ingredients to my bowl, he did it pretty sloppily. Though I can appreciate that he informed me that avocado cost extra before he put it into my bowl. So I had time to decline. But I am glad they have a CAVA here when I need my healthy fast food fix. read more

I ordered my bowl and it was ready within 5 minutes, a generous helping, and when I called to modify an aspect of my online order Naomi was super helpful! Love this location, glad it's close by my job. The location by my house (Kingstown) and the Mosaic location skimp my bowls and try to charge me extra for a regular portion size. We love cava generally. That said, the cava in Fairfax tonight was horrible as far as service. We asked for a receipt and they could not produce one. They had NO small cups for drinks and insisted that if we wanted a drink we pay for large cups rather than getting the smaller child cups which they won't sell separately. We asked for a receipt because the price was much higher than usual. They did finally bring a phone to us to show us our total and the price was indeed much higher due to them charging us for large drinks thought they could not provide smaller cups that we had asked for. Nothing about the service tonight was as remotely ok! The food was good but the drinks -blueberry lavender-were also watered down. read more

Overall, this is a really great Cava! I wish things were a little more consistent flavor wise. I always get the same exact thing but every time something is different. Either the lentils are slightly under over cooked The arugula is not diced up at all The garlic sauce is a different consistency every time And the chicken flavoring varies. Honestly, I've never had a bad experience, but I do wish that I could have consistency when it's almost $15 at the end. Try the new chicken pita ....YUMMM. The tastes of this place were that of elevated fast casual, described by someone in my group as a Mediterranean chipotle. The ingredients are very fresh and there is a lot of variety for every palate...vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. So many sauce options and each is yummy... I went two days in a row and managed to try about five of them. The flavor combinations are excellent, the recipes for the Pitas look elaborate but please please please do not omit or substitute anything, you won't be sorry. The house made beverages are very refreshing though were not sweet enough for my taste. Only complaint, the ice machine was out for the fountain beverages and they weren't cold (this was a bit surprising as normally even without ice you can guarantee some level of a chill). This was the first cava that we had been to when it first opened in the area and I loved it initially. But it has been disappointing the last few times. I still go to other cavas in the area but i try to avoid this one. Not sure what has happened but over the years, the quality seems inconsistent. The other day i went to pick up take out and when i got home, they only filled to half a bowl. That's unacceptable. If you charge for the full price, it shouldn't be filled half way. I cannot say enough how much I enjoyed lunch here. The line was long, but moved quickly. I was also surprised to see how many tables were open (it seemed to slow down just after 1pm, so I would consider coming later if you want to dine in and don't want to wait for a table). This was "Chipotle" style as you could choose everything to be served as a salad, rice bowl, or on a pita. Then you get some sauce. After this, you can select your protein (variety of meatballs, chicken, falafel, etc). I like that you could also do half and half with the protein. Next is the toppings: cucumber, tomato, onion, olives (they were generous with the olives), feta, and etc. Finally, there were more sauces. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were good (salad and rice bowls were much larger than the pita). I do regret not getting the pita chips/hummus on the side. I thought they looked stale and old, but my guest got them and they were warm and varied between soft and crunchy. They had a great flavor, almost buttery and cheesy. read more

I absolutely love Cava but this particular location has the absolute worse customer service. I would say go to the Maple Street location in Vienna where you are valued as a customer. The staff here are so rude and they skimp you on the ingredients so much that you ask for more so they can double charge you. The bowls are damn near empty by the end of the order and it's a management issue you can literally tell it's programmed in them to give you the bare minimum. Also the ice machine had no ice They need to do better. read more

Update: do not recommend eating here as I got sick shortly after! Food is great here, everything tastes yummy!! It's fresh and they have plenty of options. I think in terms of taste this is the best Cava I have had in a long time. The staff here work quick to get orders out as the lines are really long during lunch rushes. They have great drinks too. I'm throwing it to 3 stars as the bathrooms were very dirty and the biggest issue is that the sinks in their bathroom barely have water coming out ofthem. I ordered extra protein but in the end it's not worth the extra price you pay I feel, in comparison to chipotle. read more

Was craving salad and this placed satisfied the craving. It was lunch rush and there was at least 15 people in front of me but they did a good job in moving the line pretty quickly. The service was fast and friendly and the vege options are mostly organic and they also have halal lamb. There is a good portion of veges and meat. The only negative is the food is a little bland and you have to spice it up by adding some dressings. Overall would return here for some more. Last but not least the price is a little high for a salad but you get what you pay for. read more

This is our favorite Cava! We brought my parents here yesterday for their first experience and they absolutely loved it. I told the employees it was their first time and they were incredibly patient and made great recommendations... I appreciate their patience and friendliness. I tried the spicy lamb meatballs for the first time yesterday and they were soooo good!!! They were a little cold (I like my food pretty piping hot) and only a few meatballs... so I'll definitely get the chicken from now on... but it was worth trying once. My wife fell in love with their beet lemonade... and as much as I dislike veggies... it was really good. Ordered a mobile order at 8:18 to be ready at 8:30 , I showed up to the store at 8:24, and wasn't handed my food until 8:55. I ordered through the app for convenience. The food was just sitting there only to be placed in a bag and handed to me. I get if you're short staffed but it's not right to have my order sitting there while preparing other others without even finishing the order so it could be grabbed.
