First off extremely gracious and kind employees. I think the staff here is phenomenal. Even when it gets busy, your meal should be with you 5 to 7 minutes max. My last visit I did the Buffalo chicken bowl, with light sauce, and Parmesan cheese. It was okay, but nothing earth shattering. Am not too thrilled with their mushrooms for some reason. As for drinks, their modern soda machine is pretty cool. Also it's a good place to relax. The chairs and tables are solid. They do have a fairly extensive menu. I was working in Fairfax for half the week, so I decided to eat here and try a different noodle dish a day. I would say this location does a decent job with flavor and ingredients. It wasn't bland nor over-salted, the dish didn't have missing ingredients and the portion was expected. I've been to others in the area that were on the same scale, and others not great/below average. I was pleasantly pleased with this one. The tables looked clean and there weren't many people there around noon. I noticed more people will order take out versus dining in. Customer services was average. Last week I came here with a friend and we ordered carry out. I had the Japanese Pan noodles and my friend ordered the pesto noodles with added grilled chicken and a small side of garlic bread. The food was truly disappointing. The pan noodles tasted old and rubbery. I thought I was chewing on hair bands soaked in soy sauce. To my friend's utter disappointment, he found a small but thick (eyebrow or beard?) hair. The cheesy garlic bread was old, dry and salty. We could not provide feedback to the staff since we had ordered to go and only came face to face with the food when at home. The manager "Brent" was unbelievably disrespectful towards me. We ordered food on UberEats and what we received was completely wrong. They forgot half of one meal and put real chicken on mine (I am vegetarian and ordered their impossible panko chicken). When I called to see if I could get it fixed, Brent rudely started rattling off things and I just said to refund me. He said "okay dude" in a very hostile tone and hung up on me. Noodles and co came through! My husband and I were coming back from a friend's house on a Friday. It was rainy but there were plenty of people inside. My husband waited in the line and ordered me the Japanese pan noodles with tofu. He got the Korean beef noodles. He had to wait about 20 minutes total. We brought it back home and I loved the Japanese pan noodles! He liked the Korean noodles well enough, but he did think they could've been spicier. That's Americans making Korean food for ya, though. One pro tip: their food reheats well! Since I had to tend to my baby and put her to bed, o didn't get to eat right away. Be advised the small bowl is pretty small the normal bowl is about a regular portion that would fill someone up. The thai soup was nothing to write home about, it wasn't that great. The bangkok curry noodles were good and id get them again. When I go back id like to try some of the italian dishes, people say good things about them and the pesto looked good. After 30 minutes of waiting, I went up to ask what the status of our order was. Two employees had their backs to me and completely ignored me. After ten more minutes I go back to the counter to ask for my money back and the young man with dreadlocks at the counter was very nice and tried to get our food out. He said he "got me" and gave us a cookie which we appreciated. Fifty minutes total later we got our food which was fo scorching hot that it burned my daughter's tongue. Deceitful advertising. I went in for lunch and ordered the Pad Thai noodles with shrimp. When I got home and opened up the dish, it didn't look anything like what was advertised. It was basically a big bowl of noodles. I didn't see any peanuts in it as advertised, there could have been more shrimp, and I didn't see anything else. On top of this, (and maybe I missed it) there are eggs in this dish. I didn't see eggs listed on the menu board, and I looked at all the dishes to see if there were eggs. Noodles needs to up their game with this dish. Less noodles and more shrimp, more peanuts and other good stuff, and on the menu board, they need to print in red the typical ingredients that people are concerned about: milk and eggs. We come here 2-3 times in a week, when I don't cook at home :) I love their beaf stroganoff, med salad and chicken Alfredo! Their chicken Alfredo is not like the other places offer. It's different. The place on Fairfax city main road, is a bit over crowded at times but that shows how great they are. They make food with the freshest vegetables and meats. And what comes out is one of the finest and spiciest quality of noodles, salads and soups. I'm consistently shocked to find that this place has not been shut down yet. Noodles & Company, as a chain, is just OK to begin with...but this location really makes you never want to eat at a one ever again. There's no easy way to explain this, but it smells really bad when you walk in. Next, the tables are always dirty and wet. I see that others have complained about the service, but I don't the workers are supposed to do much other than put in your order, and bring you your food. (They don't work off tips.) I've had the Pesto Cavatappi with Grilled Chicken at their other locations, which is pretty good. But at this one, it's always under-salted and watery. In summary, I wouldn't give up on Noodles & Company as a whole (as I have), but I would steer clear of this location. read more
