This park contains a playground, basketball court, soccer field and dog park (two sections for different sized breeds). The playground is nice, though there isn't enough shade on hot days. There are two play structures, a seesaw, balance beam and four swings (two of each kind). Plenty of benches surround the playground and there are three semi-shaded picnic tables. One tree has a slanted trunk and is a favorite for climbing. Do watch out for muddy areas near the trees. For some reason it tends to get a bit boggier from the sprinklers than other parks. The dark park is okay. I've seen a lot of reviews complaining that there aren't enough dogs. Personally, I like when it's deserted as my dogs tend to chase other dogs. It tends to get more crowded in the late afternoon/early evening, and I usually see plenty of dogs in the small yard. There is a table in each yard but they aren't shaded, which is a shame. No bathrooms, but that is standard for Livermore parks.

I take my small 5 lbs dog every day to the small dog park. I always bring a ball just in case there aren't any "friends" there. He played with 3 other dogs today. Sometimes there is only one or two and sometimes, he's by himself but he loves running after his ball and still enjoys it. The water fountain is very convenient. It is located between the small dogs and big dogs park. It is very clean and there are pooping bags there too.

Lonely at the dog park ):

I used to get pretty peeved that not many owners bring their dogs here, but I've come to appreciate it. I've been to dog parks where there were far too many dogs! It sets them into pack mode, and with so many dogs in a contained space, that's dangerous. So I've come to appreciate this dog park, just could use a few more buddies to play with & were good :)

my son running around having fun :)

SUMMER CONCERT REVIEW: The city of Dublin hosts free weekly summer concerts from June through…read moreAugust at Emerald Glen Park on Thursday evenings. This also coincides with their farmer's market. I came here last Thursday to catch "Pop Fiction", a cover band. I arrived at 5:40 PM, 20 minutes before the concert, so I walked around to check out the farmer's market. There are food trucks, fruits, veggies, seafood, pastries, and lots more. The concert is at the Amphitheater, which has a couple tiers of lawn area. Early birds take up the back section and set up their tents and tables. We had a few folder chairs, and brought our own food for a little picnic. "Pop Fiction" was high energy and did a good job with songs from the '70's to today. They were a little pitchy at times, but everyone was just having a good time. As the evening progressed, more people came up front to dance or sway. There's no shade on the lawn, so definitely bring sunscreen and hats. The park itself is huge, but I didn't have time to check it all out. We enjoyed the concert and picnic. We'll probably be back for another one before the summer is done.

The atmosphere was so amazing. There was excitement coming from the park and waterpark. There were tons of local vendors. I truly enjoyed all the sampling at the farmers market. There's tons of green space with courts available - like basketball and tennis. Corn hole was being played as well. It was so much fun!

It's been a long time since I've been to one and the fond memories of my childhood were rejuvenated. Upon arriving at the venue, the line of vehicles to enter Robertson Park was backed up, so we decided to park outside the park and hoof it in. On this occasion I was taking my daughter and her boyfriend to the rodeo. I had pre-ordered tickets so I was ensured a seat in the grandstand. This rodeo is known for selling out every year. As we were coming upon the entrance we were greeted by animal rights protesters. They were handing out flyers protesting animal cruelty. I politely said no thank you and proceeded to enter the venue. Upon entering we browsed the line of merchants selling western products and saw my friends booth (check out Pieces by Danielle on instagram). We then grabbed a corn dog and proceeded to out seats. Thank God I paid extra for coverage in the grandstand on this hot day! The cowboys and cowgirls participated in roping events, bronco riding, barrel racing and bull riding. My childhood dream job was to become a rodeo clown! We really enjoyed the rodeo and especially my daughter's boyfriend. This was his first rodeo! Can't wait for next June!
