Such Wonderful tasty food and service was great. We had the seafood grilled platter that feeds 2. Ceviche was in a tall lime filled glass. Breads were so warm and buttery. This place was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. We started with the calamari appetizer. It was lightly breaded, tender and very flavorful. It was not at all greasy and was a very large portion. The bread served was warn and soft. The garlic bitter was a perfect balance of butter and spices. For the main dish, we had the seafood pasta with lobster. It was loaded with seafood. Two different sizes of shrimp, scallops, mussles, and calamari. The portion was enormous and was delicious. I have been here several times over the years. The last time was the worst of the worst. I had the seafood pasta with lobster proceeded by a shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were the worst I have ever had in my life. They were dry and chewy. The Shrimp pasta came with old lobster that smelled of amonia. It was bad. My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time. We had a variety of appetizers and a couple of beers. We sat here for a while as we watched a baseball game at the bar. The Ceviche Rocoto was very good as well as the conch fritters. We also enjoyed the calamari and cod fritters. Since we sat here for a couple of hours I had a lot of time to observe the staff. I was impressed on how fast paced all of their employees are. I also like that they work together and help each other. I also notice s they all know how to do everything. I had the salmon with a side salad (more like burger toppings) with mashed potatoes and my mom had the mahi mahi with yellow rice and a side salad. The rice were plain and flavorless. The waiter SUCKED so much - act like you are proud to work there when your clocked in or just try to find a new job. The mashed potatoes are the only reason this place deserves even one star because they were good (dairy in them possibly cheese and sour cream). But even though they were good it doesnt make this place worth eating at. If you are visiting miami go anywhere else. Literally. The location is right across the street from Tropical Park and right off the Bird Road and the Palmetto exit. There is ample parking and the restaurant is extremely casual and laid back. The food: the restaurant provides bread and butter to start. For my main meal I got the shrimp scampi with yellow rice and a small house salad that they serve next to the rice or side of your choice. The shrimp scampi sauce a lot thicker here then how most places serve it. The shrimp served are big, juicy and a good amount. My friend got a plate which serves different types of grilled seafood: shrimp, lobster tail, clams, calamri, etc.... The dish she ordered serves alot that two people can perhaps share it. We got a pitcher of sangria to wash down the food and the sangria was awesome. It was sweet but not repugnant and gave us both a nice buzz. Dessert: the restaurant offers a selection of desserts. We opted to try to chocolate mousse. The chocolate mousse was incredibly delicious. It is served round and sits atop sweet condensed milk covered with chocolate swirl. When you scoop up a spoonful of chocolate mousse you also scoop up the sweet condensed milk and what an amazing taste...YUMMO! Service: the service is always quick, efficient and pleasant. We were seated promptly and handed a fairly expansive menu. We ordered the fish coquettes, which were exceptional, a must try. My buddy had the corvina in a curry sauce and I had the hog fish, breaded with black beans and rice. Portions were generous and the food was just plain good! Shocked at the service/attention. One of the kids fell on the parking lot because they haven't kept up the parking spaces and after telling the manager we didn't even get a bandaid. Luckily we ordered the kids food immediately when we got there (4:45PM) and they were able to eat before the adults because it wasn't until about 7:15pm that they were able to bring out 5 plates of food. The bread was as hard as a brick, the rice was not hot and the Cuban coffee was mediocre. I asked if the restaurant was under new management and they insisted It wasn't. One of he managers was there when we got there (then left) and when he came back we were still there (no questioned asked). No apology, not even a Cuban coffee on the house however they managed to try to charge us for an extra soup (that we clearly didn't order). read more

I rate this place a 0. My complete experience was horrible. First no one greeted us when we walked in and we had to flag done a waiter who instead of seating us told us it was a 20/30 minute wait even though there were visible seating. When we choose to go to another restaurant, they chased us down in the parking to let us know they have an available table all of sudden. Unfortunately when they sat us we still had to wait 30 minutes to order anything which was frustrating because we didn't want to wait In the first place. The food was mediocre and not cooked or seasoned well one dish specifically was the mahi mahi fish tacos which were disgusting. After taking one bite we told the waitress we didn't want it and she goes to tell us she has to get the manager to take it off the ticket. When the manager comes she proceeds to ask us what is wrong and we tell her about how the food was not up to par and she responds by saying she can't take it off the ticket because even though we didn't like it, it was suppose to be one of their most popular dishes. Speechless to say the least, after a long exchange she agreed to only take a 5 dollar discount on our 100 dollar ticket and was rude with doing so.
