    Seafood Pappardelle Pasta

I love the Seafood Pasta. The cheese sticks for appetizer are really good. Would have liked to have a larger serving of them tho. 10.00 for 4 cheese sticks is a little crazy.

I've driven past Black & Bleu for years during my normal travels but somehow never made the time to stop in. When I saw on Facebook that they were giving out free pork and sauerkraut meals on New Year's Day 2026, I decided this was finally the moment to check them out. Apparently, hundreds of others had the same idea. The line was so long that police were on-site directing traffic to keep everyone safe. I waited about 45 minutes before it was my turn to collect my free New Year's Day meal. The moment the food entered my car, it was instantly filled with that unmistakable, comforting scent of a new year beginning. Once home, I dug in--and I was absolutely not disappointed. The portions were huge, far more generous than I expected for a free meal. The pork was cooked perfectly and piled alongside large servings of sauerkraut and creamy mashed potatoes. Everything was hearty, flavorful, and exactly what a New Year's Day meal should be. Offering a free pork and sauerkraut dinner was a brilliant way for Black & Bleu to introduce themselves, because it worked--I definitely want to go back and try more items from their menu. On a normal day, parking shouldn't be an issue at all, as the restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of free, on-site parking. The staff were friendly and upbeat despite the really chilly temperatures, which gives me high hopes that the in-restaurant dining experience is just as enjoyable. Thanks to Black & Bleu for a fantastic free teaser meal and for helping me start the new year off on the right--and lucky--foot.

Always reliable from service to food to drinks. My friend and I decided last minute to try to get a reservation on a Saturday night. They didn't have anything for the time we wanted it, but she suggested that we come in as there was about a 30 minute wait. We didn't wait very long and a table was available. My friend loves their veggie bowl. It's a base of I believe rice with a lot of vegetables and a garlic butter sauce. Fantastic. I got the Wagyu burger. In hindsight, I would have gotten it with a little pink. It comes with lettuce and tomato and your choice of cheese. It was full of flavor and the Gouda just added to the flavor. It comes with a side of fries that were nice and crisp. The server was very attentive and friendly. The kitchen is open so you can see and hear the cooks which adds to the fun.

Black N Bleu makes a strong first impression. It's a large, busy restaurant, and we were seated right away--which always sets a positive tone. The space has an energetic, bustling feel, and you can sense the servers moving in full hustle mode to keep everything flowing. We started with the calamari. The portion was generous, but it leaned more "standard" than standout--crispy and easy to share, but nothing that really left an impression. For my entrée, I ordered the Monster Burger with sweet potato fries. It definitely lives up to its name--big and hearty--but the execution felt off. The patties were oversized to the point that they overpowered everything else. The ratios just weren't there--not enough BBQ sauce or fried onions to balance it out. It ended up tasting more like bites of beef and bread rather than a layered, flavorful burger. My husband ordered the crab cakes, and this was the highlight of the meal. The texture was impressive--almost like a crab "cheesecake," dense, rich, and clearly made with minimal filler. You could tell it was quality. That said, for the price, the dish felt like it missed an opportunity. Pairing it with sweet potato fries and coleslaw kept it casual, when it could've been elevated with vegetables and something like mashed potatoes to better match the dish itself. And the sweet potato fries--this is where it really fell flat. They lacked that natural sweetness you expect and instead came across bland and a bit forgettable. No real depth, no contrast--just kind of there. For drinks, I had the blueberry blackberry mojito. It was fresh and enjoyable, but like other parts of the meal, it felt like it was missing something to fully bring it together. One nice touch was being able to see the cooks in action--it adds a level of energy and transparency that enhances the experience. Overall, the portions are big and the prices reflect that, but the food didn't quite deliver the "wow" factor to match. Black N Bleu has the presence and the potential--but for me, it just missed the mark on flavor and balance enough that I wouldn't rush back.

I've visited black and bleu exactly two times now and in all honesty, for the money you're going to spend there are places with just over all better food. The food is always okay, just never anything to rave about in my opinion. The service however is wonderful, the servers are attentive and even the hostess will greet you with a smile. The ambiance is also bright and eclectic which makes for a fun space.

    $19 Prime Rib Special
    Bill S.

This is one of those spot I found on Yelp and made an educated guess. I was in the mood for prime rib and from the pictures others posted it looked like a nice restaurant. I'm away all week so I'd like to have a nice family style dinner. Our waitress comes to the table and I ask about the Prime Rib. I'm told it's $19 Prime Rib night?? Be still my heart The Prime Rib comes with veggies so I decided to mix it up with a little surf and turf. I started with Fried Oysters, I'm not sure where they get their oysters from but they had a nice taste. The Prime Rib comes to me. This is like a Flintstones cut! It's a thick, juicy rib of deliciousness. The horseradish sauce was a little thin but still gave some extra kick. The baked potato side was huge! I couldn't finish it, no one could. Our waitress was very engaging, she made our meal enjoyable. If you're looking for a great home cooked meal, come to Black N Bleu Restaurant.

This place had been on my radar for a while, but when I recently learned that Grappling Crab Shack…read morewas serving Crab Stuffed Deviled Eggs, there was no longer any point in delaying the inevitable. A crabby dinner needed to happen...immediately! I recruited an adventure buddy and we made plans to meet at Grappling Crab Shack's creekside home base on a rainy Saturday evening. We arrived around 5pm, about an hour before closing, and thanks to the rain, we had the place almost entirely to ourselves! If you've never been, Grappling Crab Shack is a local family-owned business specializing in fresh Maryland blue crabs, gourmet crab cakes, seasonal seafood specialties, catering and a food truck that travels throughout the area. It's one of those hidden gems that feels like you've stumbled onto a local secret. Since it was our first visit, we decided to do what any reasonable seafood lovers would do....order basically everything! First up were the Crab Stuffed Deviled Eggs ($18 for six). Holy. Cow! These were TREMENDOUS! The filling was loaded with crab, each egg was topped with a little bit of bacon and they disappeared from the plate embarrassingly fast. If you visit Grappling Crab Shack and don't order these, I genuinely think you're making a mistake! Next came the Cajun Jambalaya ($10) with chicken, smoked sausage, tomatoes, trinity vegetables and Cajun spices. This was excellent. Smoky, flavorful, and carrying just enough heat to let you know it was Cajun without setting your face on fire. My adventure buddy never once reached for hot sauce, which says a lot! Then came the Cheesy Crab Bites ($15). These might actually be my favorite surprise of the evening. Homemade crab cake mix blended with mozzarella, cream cheese and garlic, rolled in panko and Old Bay, fried until golden and served with a house remoulade. I'd choose these over mozzarella sticks every single day of the week! The cheese pulls were absolutely glorious, and the remoulade added the perfect tangy finish. Finally, we tackled the Gourmet Crab Cake ($17). This thing was HUGE! Made with fresh Maryland blue crab, it was beautifully seasoned, perfectly cooked, and held together much better than several crab cakes I've had recently. I'm actually glad we skipped ordering it as a sandwich because the crab cake itself deserved to be the star of the show. Our total came to right around $60, and considering how much food we ordered, plus the leftovers we both brought home, I thought it was money well spent. We grabbed one of the covered tables out back overlooking the yard and listening to the creek rush by. Despite the rain, it was a really relaxing place to enjoy dinner. I can only imagine how nice it is on a sunny summer evening. The staff couldn't have been kinder, bringing everything out to us with smiles and making us feel right at home. This place is an absolute hidden gem and one of my favorite seafood spots to have checked out in the last few months! I'll definitely be back, preferably on a dry evening when I can fully enjoy the creekside setting. If you love crab, seafood, or just supporting awesome local businesses, don't sleep on Grappling Crab Shack. And whatever you do...order the deviled eggs!

Tatiana herself greeted us and sat us at a perfect table in the corner where we could look out at the restaurant. The food matched the first impression - presentation was superb! We started with the appetizer of chicken meatballs - 6 delicious bites to share. Flavor was on spot and the white sauce sweet yet savory. Next cam our dinners. Each served with soup (Ukranian borscht), lovely mixed salad, and homemade dinner rolls - to die for! We started with the Ukranian Ice Tea - and first for me. And now a staple! It had a hint of fruit tones, not too sweet, very cold, and refreshing! I had 2 glasses. We ordered the Ukranian Stew which comes with Ukrainian rice (another fabulous staple - I will add this as an additional side dish to any ongoing visits we make, it's that good). The sauce on the stew was perfectly seasoned as well - with a hint of cardamom and perhaps cinnamon? It was a perfect blend of savory with hint of sweetness to compliment the chicken, chicken sausage, beef tips, vegetables, and more that made up the stew. The sauce was worthy of a spoon to ensure every morsel was consumed - with bread to wipe the bowl clean! The portion sizes are generous as well. The second entre was the Colosseum Tortellini Combo with chicken, chicken sausage, mushrooms, onions, peppers and cheese tortellini all tossed in a Asiago Alfredo Marinera sauce. A other enjoyable dish. While we did not have dessert, the selections looked equally scrumptious! We will try the pumpkin cheesecake when we return. This is a family run business. Ash is the Chef, Tatiana runs the front if the house. They have a second floor dinkng space that can seat up to 50! Great spot for special event or party. Even Tatiana's mother participates with her dessert baking. Both Ash & Tatian were delightful. It was like being invited to a friend's home for a feast! Highly recommend trying. First impressions are what you would hear by word of mouth, right? Maybe that started it for me? We've heard everything from "Amazing food but slow service" , "Don't go hungry", to "Terrible food & service is great". I went in with no expectations. We made reservations. The process is simple and easy through Open Table. We received multiple text messages about our reservation. Our table was ready at arrival. Service was great! Cheery, happy server who did a great job checking in on us and accommodating all requests including a not on the menu specialty drink. Food came out way faster than I had expected from what I had heard from previous patrons. There was barely time between soup & salad and our main dinner arrival which is ok because I didn't eat the soup. The bread placed on the table felt and smelled fresh. Dinner came out very hot with lovely presentation. Unfortunately, it just didn't have much flavor. It was bland to me & the Hubs. I think this might be an American thing because we are so used to salt and strong flavors when we dine out, however, the food was cooked to perfection. It was even better as leftovers at home where I added Italian seasoning mix and a touch of salt. The restaurant itself felt small but inviting. It was a bit loud. It's decorated so lovely, though. It felt like we were in a garden. It's handicap accessible with plenty of parking. I didn't use the facilities or take note of any other questions I usually see on here.
