Black N Bleu makes a strong first impression. It's a large, busy restaurant, and we were seated right away--which always sets a positive tone. The space has an energetic, bustling feel, and you can sense the servers moving in full hustle mode to keep everything flowing. We started with the calamari. The portion was generous, but it leaned more "standard" than standout--crispy and easy to share, but nothing that really left an impression. For my entrée, I ordered the Monster Burger with sweet potato fries. It definitely lives up to its name--big and hearty--but the execution felt off. The patties were oversized to the point that they overpowered everything else. The ratios just weren't there--not enough BBQ sauce or fried onions to balance it out. It ended up tasting more like bites of beef and bread rather than a layered, flavorful burger. My husband ordered the crab cakes, and this was the highlight of the meal. The texture was impressive--almost like a crab "cheesecake," dense, rich, and clearly made with minimal filler. You could tell it was quality. That said, for the price, the dish felt like it missed an opportunity. Pairing it with sweet potato fries and coleslaw kept it casual, when it could've been elevated with vegetables and something like mashed potatoes to better match the dish itself. And the sweet potato fries--this is where it really fell flat. They lacked that natural sweetness you expect and instead came across bland and a bit forgettable. No real depth, no contrast--just kind of there. For drinks, I had the blueberry blackberry mojito. It was fresh and enjoyable, but like other parts of the meal, it felt like it was missing something to fully bring it together. One nice touch was being able to see the cooks in action--it adds a level of energy and transparency that enhances the experience. I've driven past Black & Bleu for years during my normal travels but somehow never made the time to stop in. When I saw on Facebook that they were giving out free pork and sauerkraut meals on New Year's Day 2026, I decided this was finally the moment to check them out. Apparently, hundreds of others had the same idea. The line was so long that police were on-site directing traffic to keep everyone safe. I waited about 45 minutes before it was my turn to collect my free New Year's Day meal. The moment the food entered my car, it was instantly filled with that unmistakable, comforting scent of a new year beginning. Once home, I dug in--and I was absolutely not disappointed. The portions were huge, far more generous than I expected for a free meal. The pork was cooked perfectly and piled alongside large servings of sauerkraut and creamy mashed potatoes. Everything was hearty, flavorful, and exactly what a New Year's Day meal should be. Offering a free pork and sauerkraut dinner was a brilliant way for Black & Bleu to introduce themselves, because it worked--I definitely want to go back and try more items from their menu. On a normal day, parking shouldn't be an issue at all, as the restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of free, on-site parking. The staff were friendly and upbeat despite the really chilly temperatures, which gives me high hopes that the in-restaurant dining experience is just as enjoyable. Always reliable from service to food to drinks. My friend and I decided last minute to try to get a reservation on a Saturday night. They didn't have anything for the time we wanted it, but she suggested that we come in as there was about a 30 minute wait. We didn't wait very long and a table was available. My friend loves their veggie bowl. It's a base of I believe rice with a lot of vegetables and a garlic butter sauce. Fantastic. I got the Wagyu burger. In hindsight, I would have gotten it with a little pink. It comes with lettuce and tomato and your choice of cheese. It was full of flavor and the Gouda just added to the flavor. This place is always packed. I've had mixed experiences with dining in a d takeout. Was there this past Sunday for dinner, earlyish, like 4:30. The dining rooms were pretty full. Our server was not super attentive. I started with the Killer Bread, which was good. Its a variation on a cheesy garlic bread and I e joyed it. I ordered the NY Strip Steak as my entree and I was disappointed with it. When it arrived, it was a fairly thin steak and it looked like it had been sitting for awhile. Further evidence of this was that the garlic butter it was topped with did not melt. It was not cooked medium ratell rare, as requested. It was definitely barely pink. The portion of Brussels sprouts that came with the steak was a small portion and was cold. The best part of the meal was the large, nicely prepared baked potato. I've visited black and bleu exactly two times now and in all honesty, for the money you're going to spend there are places with just over all better food. The food is always okay, just never anything to rave about in my opinion. The service however is wonderful, the servers are attentive and even the hostess will greet you with a smile. It's been years since we've been to Black & Bleu. They accommodated our party of six easily with a reservation. It was Wednesday night & the place was busy. Parking was at a premium as the saying goes. The music was a little to loud for great conversation, but we managed. We sat at a half moon booth along the upper back wall that provided an amazing view of the open kitchen. I ordered the steak stromboli (small) which was enough for dinner & lunch the next day. This is one of those spot I found on Yelp and made an educated guess. I was in the mood for prime rib and from the pictures others posted it looked like a nice restaurant. I'm away all week so I'd like to have a nice family style dinner. Our waitress comes to the table and I ask about the Prime Rib. I'm told it's $19 Prime Rib night?? Be still my heart The Prime Rib comes with veggies so I decided to mix it up with a little surf and turf. I started with Fried Oysters, I'm not sure where they get their oysters from but they had a nice taste. The Prime Rib comes to me. This is like a Flintstones cut! It's a thick, juicy rib of deliciousness. The horseradish sauce was a little thin but still gave some extra kick. The baked potato side was huge! I couldn't finish it, no one could. This restaurant has a large selection of menu items and they made each one that my party ordered excellently. I had lunch here with my girlfriend and her parents and her parents go here once a month and love everything on the menu (except the fried oysters but that's a them issue, the oysters were fantastic). Although be warned they are a bit pricey. I got 'The Black n Bleu Stack' consisting of crab cake on top of a lightly blackened filet mignon and blue cheese mashed potatoes and green beans topped with alfredo sauce. The crab cake had little to no filler which I found to be very impressive. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly to order. My girlfriend got the smoked gouda pasta with no bacon and they actually listened and didn't add bacon when most other restaurants would 'forget'. The fried oysters were delicious but unfortunately I was the only one at the table who liked oysters. We also got fire cracker shrimp and firebread. The shrimp was loved by all, crispy and flavorful. The firebread was delicious and full of flavor, but you couldn't eat more than a small piece without making yourself too full for the meal (especially with ordering other appetizers) as it is pretty heavy but it was still very good and is great to put it in an air fryer the days after. A suggestion for the restaurant would be to possibly offer the firecracker with or without marinara sauce, the acidity may decrease the heaviness along with making it less oily. The lemon drop shot I got was much more than a shot which I appreciated. The skinny mule was delicious and tasted just as good as a regular sugary mule. The server was polite and helpful with recommendations and had some good bits too. The restaurant was pretty empty at 2pm so it was a nice overall volume as I don't really like loud establishments anyway. All in all, although a bit more expensive than the average bar/restaurant, the variety of menu options, quality food and customer service makes up for that and I would recommend it to anyone in the area and I will definitely be returning in the near future. read more

Solid food, very accommodating staff, busy but for good reason. Once again, randomly in the area and saw this place was very favored with the locals. So we came here for a date night. We got seated right away and the place was jam packed. We got seated next to a giant party who took up the entire center of the dining area. in a cozy little two-top. Because of the big party, we didn't get a server until about 10 minutes after being sat. Once they realized that we were there without menus and drinks, they quickly rectified that for us. We decided to get the blue cheese fondue, their "stack" which was a jumbo crab cake on top of a filet with blue cheese mash and asparagus. I can't eat a lot, and I was interested in their smoked gouda pasta dish. I asked if I could do a half-portion and they were able to accommodate. Not many places are willing to, but thankfully they were able to. Food came out reasonably quick. The kitchen was in full swing, pushing out lots of food. Almost too quickly though, as the serving staff was having a hard time keeping up with the pace. But eventually our food got to our table and we dug in. The blue cheese fondue was pretty good. the garlic knots and the chicken skewers were the star of the show though. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, seasoned, and paired well with the fondue. Probably could've been smaller chunks of chicken rather than strips, but given the perfect cook, totally okay with it not being in chunks. The Fondue was actually the weaker element on the plate. It was creamy and a little funky, but they definitely tempered that funk down a lot. I got more cheese sauce than blue cheese, which is great if you don't like blue cheese. I like blue cheese though, and I was looking for that funk. Same goes for the smoked gouda pasta. It was really good, the pasta was cooked fully and the cheese sauce was cheesy, but light on the smoke. the chicken pieces in this dish were also perfectly cooked as well, it was very tasty. The Stack was good, but the biggest detractor was the alfredo sauce they put on top of everything. The filet was perfectly seared and cooked to medium rare, the blue cheese mash was creamy and pleasantly funky, with little pieces of cooked potato. The green beans were cooked, seasoned, oiled, and served well. The crab cake was flaked imitation crab, loosely piled on top of the filet then seared and placed on top. Then it all got covered in a thick cream sauce with just a hint of parmesan. If there was a lot of pepper in the cream sauce, then at least I could make a case of it being like a southern biscuits and gravy sauce. The sauce was lacking punch though, and that was a disappointment. I would probably skip the crab cake next time and just do the filet. Or swap it out for some butter poached jumbo shrimp placed on top. also I would skip the whole sauce dump on top, the alfredo on top doesn't seem right for the style of dish it is. Pricing was high, but not unreasonably so. The service was excellent, despite the delays in serving. The food is good, but is lacking the flavors promised by the descriptions of the dishes. this is a good place to celebrate if you happen to be in the area. The foods pretty good and the place has a nice, modern atmosphere. It's a busy place, so you might have to wait. but if you can wait, it's pretty good! read more

Honestly, I forgot how good this place is and how much I love their killer bread and blackened chicken Alfredo. It's been way too long since I've been here and now we've got the Black n Bleu bug again. Also, they have here the best espresso martini, which is known as a black martini on their menu. This is the standard and all others are judged on this fine example. The dining experience and service have always been impeccable here. It seems they stress customer service as well as quality ingredients in all of their dishes. All of the servers and help appear to be pleasant at all times, even when very busy, which is pretty much all the time. This was our first visit to Black and Bleu and I couldn't be more impressed. First, I saw their calamari appetizer was fried, which I'm not a huge fan of. Well our server, Heather, offered to have it sautéed instead and man, was it amazing! (I wish I had a photo of it to share.) Next, I had the chicken parm and I'm used to the chicken being pounded thin, so I was shocked to receive two regular sized chicken breasts, and they were cooked perfectly! We were a party of 10, ordering apps, sides, entrees, and desserts. Heather was impressively patient and efficient. Everyone loved everything they ordered. The food was wonderful, but the dining experience was even better because of how amazing Heather was. I wouldn't be surprised if she was running the place by our next visit. We decided to try this restaurant through other Yelp reviews. Once again, Yelp reviewers were spot on. Food was fresh, hot and delicious! I tried the tomato soup to start. It was rich and full of flavor. Both of decided on the same sandwich, the Blackened Chicken Melt. It was crave worthy! It is a large flavorful sandwich. A few months ago, I met an old friend for Dinner at Black N Blu. We had an exceptional dining experience, so I made a point of returning recently. Everything was as good or better than my first visit - the food was excellent; the service was friendly and efficient! After we arrived and got seated, I order a cocktail (a Blueberry Mule) and an appetizer (the Calamari). My cocktail was tasty and quite strong; I was glad I wasn't the one driving ;-) The Calamari was both tasty and a bit unusual; it didn't just consist of rings (like I've seen in most other places), it also had quite a few tentacles. The dish was also very nicely presented, with a generous portion size. For my entree I went with the Prime Rib special. It was nicely seasoned, cooked perfectly, and very tasty - I finished every bite momentarily wished for more. Both of us found our dinners quite filling, but we managed to find enough room to share a serving of their Tiramisu for dessert. Apparently, years of loyalty at Black N Bleu means nothing. I've been a regular for years, bringing friends and family, yet never once acknowledged by management. Even still I love the servers and have become friends with many clientele. No more! Last night, after patiently waiting over an hour for a bar seat, when one did open I approached the open seat and the hostess took it and "saved" it for someone not even in the building. When I politely asked to speak with the manager he essentially rudely told me to deal with it! After then politely asking to speak to the owner he came out in front of guests and announced he didn't want to talk to me "because it won't be good," then told me I was welcome to leave. Wow I was shocked! . Mind you I have always respected staff, never got intoxicated and always tipped the staff very well. If this is how they treat long-time customers, I can only imagine how they treat everyone else. Classy... I'm sadly disappointed for I will miss the clientele and the wonderful servers I've gotten to know over the years. .The kicker? The gentlemen they saved the seat for never even sat at the bar. You know I am always hesitant to slam a place based on one experience. The workers are people with families and need to earn a living . Well I was reminded of this as we were finishing up desert around 9:30 tonight . The bar was packed still ! There was another table still being served food so we felt we would down another coffee and talk a little more . My sister recommended this restaurant for my mother's birthday. Overall, the experience was a little lackluster for my taste. The food was all right. I've had better elsewhere, but it wasn't the worst I've experienced. There were little things that just bugged me about this place though... It was kind of chilly inside, and I'm talking about the temperature and the service. I ordered hot tea, and the server handed me a barely lukewarm mug of water with a teabag stuck in it. No saucer. No spoon. No lemon or sugar or anything. We ordered blue cheese dip as an appetizer, and the chicken skewers were cold, and the dip seemed very runny. I was skeptical about ordering a ribeye, but I went ahead and it was fine. Once again, the food was not as hot as I expected. My mom liked her scallops and my teenager loved the lobster mac and cheese. My husband has the short ribs and he loved them. My sister called me to apologize for my experience. Ate here with my wife on a recent Saturday evening. Sat outside in the "lively outdoor patio". The "lively outdoor patio" is a row of booths along the front of the restaurant, which is located in a strip mall. Not only are cars constantly driving past ~10 feet away, but the pickup point for "to go" orders is right alongside the "patio" area as well, so cars are regularly pulling up and waiting while their food is brought out. It has all the ambiance of dining in a parking lot because, well, you're dining in a parking lot. The food was mostly disappointing. We had the garlic knots appetizer, but found the knots woefully lacking in garlic; it was basically like eating bread with marinara. The marinara sauce was pretty good, though. I had the dry-rubbed short ribs with mac & cheese and snap peas. The ribs were overcooked and dry. The glaze was tasty and made the ribs more palatable, but they were not very generous with it. Both the mac & cheese and the snap peas were bland and tasteless. My wife had the crab cakes and said they were pretty good, made with generous amounts of crab meat, so that was a plus. I will say that our server did a good job--she a friendly and checked in with is regularly. That is the only reason I am rating the restaurant as 2 stars instead of 1. read more

My wife's Bloody Mary was bland, with just two olives for a garnish. The Caesar Salad was blah too: any diner would have served that. We all got the prime rib. Made reservations several days in advance for 6:30pm on a Saturday - arrived to a packed house, but we were taken to our table promptly at 6:30. Server arrived immediately to get our drinks and an app (Killer Bread - good stuff). She was back as if on-cue as soon as we were ready to order - I had a Ribeye, while the GF went for Prime Rib. Orders were done quickly and both entrees came out exactly as requested. The Prime Rib was one of the best lookin' plates I've ever seen & my steak was fan-freakin'-tastic! We ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer and it came out quickly. It was a huge portion and the marinara sauce it came with was delicious. We ordered our entrees after and our food came out not too much longer after we had finished our appetizer. I got the seafood pappardelle and there was honestly more seafood than pasta (which is not a complaint from me)! Plenty of shrimp and scallops and the lobster sauce on it was super yummy as well. I had a few bites of the lobster mac and cheese and it also had huge chunks of lobster in it as well. The pastas were way too big to finish and we both had to leave with a sizable amount boxed up. Looked like there was a wait when we left so we were glad we had a reservation and got in early. Great service, casual vibes, and even better food! Will be back many more times. read more
