My stepdad requested First Watch for Father's Day breakfast this year (2026), and since it was his first visit, we happily made the plan. Knowing Father's Day would probably be busy, I decided to do my homework ahead of time. Before we even left the house, I used First Watch's online "Check In" feature to get our name on the list while we were driving there. The website estimated a 10 to 20 minute wait and instructed us to let the hostess know when we arrived. Perfect! Or so I thought... About 15 minutes later, we walked through the doors...into absolute chaos. The lobby was PACKED with people waiting for tables despite the fact that roughly half the dining room appeared to be sitting empty. I squeezed my way through the crowd, made it to the hostess stand, gave her my name and mentioned that I'd already checked in online. "Great," she said. "It'll be 20 to 25 minutes." Wait...what? So the online check-in that said we'd be waiting 10 to 20 minutes...didn't actually accomplish anything? If I'd known we'd still be waiting another half hour after arriving, we honestly would have chosen somewhere else that accepted reservations or true call-ahead seating. The online check-in created expectations that simply weren't met. About 20 minutes later, we were finally seated. Unfortunately, things didn't improve. We sat for another 15 minutes before our waitress stopped by to take drink orders. We decided to order all of our food immediately because we weren't confident we'd see her again anytime soon. Good decision! The coffee arrived fairly quickly. The water...tap water, not fancy water, not bottled water, not water that required any preparation other than being put into a glass bottle and carried to the table, showed up about 10 minutes later. Here's what we ordered: Million Dollar Bacon ($6.29) - four slices of hardwood-smoked bacon glazed with brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne and syrup. This was absolutely phenomenal! If nothing else, order this (or learn to make it at home so you can avoid an excessive wait at First Watch to eat it). Sweet, smoky, just enough heat...this absolutely lived up to the hype! Power Wrap ($11.49) - egg whites, turkey, spinach, mushrooms and mozzarella in a sun-dried tomato basil tortilla with fresh fruit. The wrap itself was really good. The fruit was a mixed bag. The grapes were great, but the pineapple was still hard and noticeably underripe. At this point in the meal, I wasn't surprised and definitely wasn't going to try to get it fixed. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes ($13.29) - these were also really good. The lemon curd completely stole the show and made the pancakes. The menu advertised seasonal berries, which turned out to be strawberries. They were perfectly fine, though I probably would have expected blueberries this time of year. The Works Omelet (FREE BECAUSE THE ORDER WAS NOT CORRECT) - this was my stepdad's Father's Day breakfast. He ordered it WITHOUT onions. It arrived with EXTRA onions. By that point, our waitress had disappeared again, so rather than wait another 20 minutes for a remake, I flagged down another employee near the kitchen. I explained that we'd waited long enough already and simply wanted the omelet removed from the bill instead of remade. To their credit, they handled that professionally and removed it without any argument. While I had someone's attention, I also requested plates for the Million Dollar Bacon appetizer that had been sitting on our table for about 15 minutes and asked if my mom's meal could please be brought out since everyone else's food had already arrived quite a while earlier. Our final bill came to just over $44 after tax and tip. Even after everything that happened, I still left our waitress a 25% tip. It was Father's Day, the restaurant was clearly overwhelmed, and I try to assume people are doing the best they can with what they've got. That said...it was obvious something wasn't working. Whether they were understaffed, overwhelmed by the Father's Day crowd, or simply having an off day, the entire experience felt disorganized from beginning to end. The online check-in wasn't accurate, service was painfully slow, food came out at different times, one meal was prepared incorrectly, and our server disappeared for long stretches throughout the meal. Ironically, the food itself was actually pretty good. If I were reviewing only the Million Dollar Bacon, it would easily earn five stars. Unfortunately, restaurants are more than just food. For me, the overall experience matters just as much. There are simply too many excellent local breakfast and brunch spots to justify returning after an experience like this. I'm glad my stepdad's omelet was removed from the bill, and I appreciate that the staff made that right, but I left more frustrated than impressed. First Watch may have just had a really bad Father's Day. But based on my first experience, I don't think I'll be back to find out. read more

I asked our server for suggestions and, of the half dozen dishes he said he enjoys, I went with The Chickichanga. It isn't what I typically gravitate towards, but was a great experience. The dish was a melange of flavors and textures; it reawakened how much I miss the use of hatch green chilies. The spices in the chorizo and on the chicken were tempered by avocado and sour cream. There was an unexpected pop of citrusy acidity in the chickichanga's sauce that cut through what may have been too heavily unctuous without it. The potatoes were texturally delightful. They were soft inside, floury, with crispy edges on some of them and bits of cooked onion. There was a small fruit cup with red grapes, sliced strawberries, and bits of pineapple, none of which had the tinny taste or soft texture you sometimes get in mid-December. My spouse had a holiday special, carne asada breakfast tacos served with a side of black beans. The beans had pico de gallo on top. He had no complaints about his food, after he removed some of the pickled red onions. The steak was toothsome and well seasoned. He loved the corn tortillas. We both had coffee & water. Our server left the insulated coffee carafe after filling our cups and said to let him know if we needed more. The carafe maintained a good temperature for enjoying the coffee. All of the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was busy with it feeling rushed. I arrived at opening with just two people seated before me. I was greated warmly and seated in a space suited just for me & my book. It was perfect! I was concerned when I saw lemon on the plate but it was the right amount of acidity to add flavor profile without being overpowering. The coffee wasn't to strong or to mild and I received a small carafe just for myself. I could not finish it. To much caffeine The seating is comfortable. The music playing ecletic with a bit of holiday cheer. It wasn't to loud either so I think people could have a conversation easily. Overall just a wonderful experience. Came in on a Thursday around noon. Horrible host. She was more concerned with cashing customers out one after the other. Then greeting customers coming in looking for a table to dine in. After 5-10 minutes my friend and I got skipped, even though we were standing in front of the host podium rather than in front of the register. When i informed the pink haired host I have been waiting on a table as well she still sat the other table first. She proceeded to cash out another customer then she finally gave us a table. Food was the only thing good about this experience. Table service was not good either. We never got our water glasses refilled or informed by our server that we pay at the register. We are too far to go in person, but after our first visit, we decided it was worth a shot to order online. It is upscale diner fare that looks and tastes better than most options. Even packaged for delivery, it looked and smelled great with hearty portions and home-cooked quality that brought us back several times until delivery errors and delays had us choose not to order online again. They had issues with their systems (I believe due to the Crowdstrike incident) so it was longer of a wait to get seated, but it wasn't too bad of a wait to get our food order in / receive it! Our server was super friendly and all the food was delicious. I've been going to First Watch in Florida since I was a child, and this time I tried two new dishes: A.M. Normally I enjoy this restaurant. Normally I love the Floridian French Toast. Not today. The best manager was working so I guess the fault lies with the server, the expediter or a new policy. Why no syrup with French Toast? But when you ask to take the French toast home they give you syrup to take home. Does that make sense? Maybe the server had too many side jobs. She just disappeared into the kitchen and didn't return until my French toast was cold. She did bring me a box when I requested one. Whatever she was doing in the kitchen was more important than waiting on her customers. I find it ironic that you get syrup with delivery and leftovers but no preserves, and in the restaurant you get preserves but no syrup. Consistency should be important. read more

Trying to locate a restaurant that would be same amount of travel time for all. It was 30-45 minutes wait, however only waited for 20 minutes. So many unique chooses. We tried iced coffees. Firsr Watch is a great breakfast / brunch spot. The ambience here is quite trendy and energetic. The place was crowded when we visited around 12:00PM but we got seated right away. Our waitress was friendly, she got us coffee immediately and checked on us frequently when we were here. They have a long menu with many different options for breakfast and brunch. I think everyone can find something they like here. I was tempted to get their egg benedict because i saw our next door table got it and they look so delicious but we decided to go with items on their seasonal menu, which are Carnitas Breakfast Toastadas, Cheddar Jalapeno Cornbread, and Brisket Hash. $60 for breakfast and this is what they send you! I called cool as a cucumber and asked to speak to the manager and they told me she couldn't talk now that she was busy so I left my number. I ended up calling back because I thought maybe they thought I was somebody applying for a job or something when in fact, I was a DoorDash customer. Not only was the girl on the phone, rude but the manager Jof absolutely refused to get on the phone and told me to take it up with DoorDash. I explained to them that DoorDash doesn't compensate fairly that I'd prefer to speak with a manager, but they were so insistent on not wanting to speak with me and address my concern. The claim the manager was cooking in the kitchen, short staff I can understand now working for a manager such as this! This is definitely the last time I will order from here or go into this establishment. I will also send a formal complaint to corporate. I understand that we are in tough times, but people need to understand as well is the customer isn't the one that should get the shitty end of the stick, especially when we're paying for a service or product! I love brunch. It feels so decadent to leave the house early for restaurant dining, even when it's a chain. We were there on Good Friday and I expected a huge wait, but we arrived around 10 am and were seated immediately. The menu is incredible, with a focus on fresh ingredients. My husband and I struggled to make a decision. It was his second time dining at First Watch and my first. He knew to order the Million Dollar Bacon and he was so right. It's not a super complex dish, but the maple plus cayenne make the 4 strips they give you really, really, different and enjoyable. He had the Chikichanga and however they made the eggs/wrapper thing on this, it was inventive and tasty. I had The Works Omelet, which was an strange choice for me because I'm not usually an egg person. This was a fantastic omelet with different meats and veggies in super fluffy, delicious eggs. Whatever it is they do to the onions there... it's miraculous. It was topped with a small dollop of sour cream and diced tomatoes. The whole thing was very well-balanced and I even enjoyed the potatoes and toast that came with it. Seriously, I am about to rave about TOAST. It's a thick slab of multigrain bread toasted perfectly. I buttered it and used the preserves that came on my plate. It was GOOD. We had coffee too, which was strong. We used all of the little creamers they gave us. Next time we go I will have to remember to bring my artificial sweetener. They provided only Sugar in the Raw. I used it for my coffee, but as a diabetic, I really shouldn't have. So I'll bring my own Splenda. That's fine. Also, I didn't ask. Our server was good but could have been a little more attentive. They were pretty busy. I came here in June (excuse the last post). We stopped by here on way to Michigan. We enjoyed the food, the service and the ambiance overall. The Presentation was a 5/5. The food has something left to be desired. But with the intricate taste who knows what a person's tastebuds would fancy. The food was good though but with my tastebuds dancing around new unexpected ingredients and tastes I found it weird but highly interesting. Still the food was tasty and unique and so were the delicious drinks. It had an interesting and peculiar taste. TLDR; Two employees seen not washing hands after using bathroom. Disgusting. For context, the men's bathroom is single use, and the sink was clogged with paper towels for the entirety of our visit. First time using bathroom, just to wash my hands: Back of house employee, likely chef by attire, comes out after a couple minutes. Notice sink is completely empty except for soggy paper towel clog when walking in. Wash hands. Sink has filled with water and soap bubbles and is draining very slowly. Wait a full 30 seconds and sink is still not drained. Conclusion: Chef did not wash hands. Second time using bathroom: Busboy sneaks in just ahead of me. Wait close to 5 minutes, busboy comes out. Sink is again empty yet still clogged. Use bathroom. Wash hands and repeat experiment for same result. Conclusion: Busboy did not wash hands. Absolutely disgusting behavior, will not be eating here again, do NOT recommend, if I could give 0 stars I would. HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUE. read more

'Ordered the waffle. It looked like a waffle due to its shape, but was flat, undercooked and tasted like a pancake. It also had something green and savory in it. It must have been a herb that was accidentally dropped into the batter. Also, I don't understand a big time breakfast restaurant like this not carrying tomato juice. The juice glasses are water glasses. They need to be smaller. On the other hand, my daughter's granola/yoghurt/fruit bowl from the kids' menu was beautiful, as was her hot chocolate.
