I should have followed the advice of other reviewers. I had a cashmere sweater dry cleaned and it came back with deep wrinkled creases. Rather than accept responsibility for the damage, the store employee contended that the sweater came with the damage. When I requested to speak with the owner, the employee advised I would have to wait for 2 months until he returned from vacation. After insisting on speaking to a person with authority to resolve this issue, the store employee advised I would get a call from a manager from the Country Club store. If you want to run the risk of your clothes being damaged and a store that denies responsibility, go elsewhere. read more

Great service! Consistent and courteous customer service across locations. I have also used the laundry service. Great prices.

Took a two pairs of bluejeans that had ink stains on them when a ball point pen accidentally got in the laundry and let go in the dyer. I had them mark them for extra attention. They came back with little change. Obviously there is no guaranty that stains can be removed. Frankly, I don't think they use a good solvent like perc anymore. Does anyone or has it been outlawed? But that is not the reason for one star review. Leave the ink stains aside. The jeans - one especially - came back just as dirty grimy as before. I'm not talking about any exceptional type of dirt just ordinary brownish grime on medium blue jeans. Their prices are good but not when clothes come back just as dirty as when dropped off I see no reason to return. *** BTW, in case anyone cares, I did get the jeans clean via my own DIY methods. First I put them in a plastic container with about 3/4 gallon of acetone. The clear acetone became purple blue from the ink. I had the same thing happen years ago and that's all I needed to do. Not so this time, after about a day I removed them but the stains, while reduced, were still there. (I was worried a trip through dry cleaning may have set them.) Took them to the kitchen sink and dribbled hydrogen peroxide on each ink stain and brushed it. Then drops of Dawn on each stain and brushed them more. Then I rinsed it in the sink to remove the remaining acetone as much as possible. From there to the washing machine, set on hot, with some detergent and some oxygen bleach (like Oxy-Clean but from Dollar Tree). Let it run half the cycle and stopped it to soak over night then finished the cycle in the morning. When it was done the stains were gone. Jeans have returned to the regular rotation. Caution...do tests in an inconspicuous area first. Unless you have nothing to lose like me! ********* 12/16/23 Update to respond to the business's response (I can't see any other way to respond): I appreciate the reply but can't help but note that you commented about stain removal but said nothing about my primary complaint which was that your service did not remove the general dirt & grunge. I recently moved near this location from Chicago and I find this Ckeaners to provide great service! I was running late toward closing and called and the worker literally waited on me so I could get my clothes. They get you in and the prices are fair. I wear designer clothes like Burberry and at times they can't starch those type shirts. I appreciate them letting me know that as opposed to doing it and damaging my clothes. I put several items in this cleaners. amongst the items was a 2 piece white linen suit and ascot. The suit was practically new as I just bought it and had only worn it once. I got a text from them that my clothes were ready for pick up. When I got there I inspected the the suit and noticed that there were big brown areas on the suit coat and pants leg. I had assumed that it was because they were starched and over pressed. I was not happy at ALL! So when I spoke with the manager he immediately started going in with this rationale of the difference of clothes being dry cleaned versus clothes that are laundered. I immediately recognized this as SPIN because from my point of view I consider you and your establishment to be the professionals in those matters and recognize and recommend the necessary treatment for my garments. The ascot appeared to not have been cleaned at all and the manager immediately offered a re due. This is the approach he should have taken immediately when I pointed out the stains on my jacket and pants instead trying to point out the differences of laundering and dry cleaning to me when he's SUPPOSED to be the professional. He even suggested that I probably spilled something on the suit and didn't notice that I had done it! This guy is not a professional when it comes dealing with people. I decided to post this on yelp instead of his store page because although there are plenty of reviews just like mine on there page he appears to respond to each and every one with some type of excuse. Never does he apologize and state that he will try to do better! I would never recommend ANY business that doesn't think there incapable of making a mistake and not willing to apologize! I've been going to CD One Price - Chicago Heights almost since they opened. I've had several issues with them, to the point that I should have stopped patronizing them years ago, but I wanted to believe things would get better. Now fast forward to Jan. 3, 2023. went to pick up items one of which was a press only. it was new dress, long dress. they had put the dress in the cleaners plastic bag and the tied a knot at the which of course the last 4-5 inches was wrinkled more than when I brought it to them. I call the next day and the young Stephanie (not even sure that's her real name) I explained my situation, just wanted it pressed again. She stated bring it back with receipt and they would do it over, all the while laughing as if it was a job. I asked the first initial to her last name she refused. I then asked for the mgr, whom she stated was not there. she gave the nam Paul. I call the morning and the young lady I spoke with told me Pakl was on vacation til February and I asked who is the mgr on duty and she stated Deep! and he wouldn't be in til the afternoon. i called at 3pm and was told he was gone for the day! Called again the following, and still no Deep! At this point I will never return to this One Price and honestly will not go to any other One Price. ive had to many issues....receiving items back with the stains still on them, not getting items back by ready date/time I was told, and I can't patronize a company that has rude employees and not all of them are rud, I'd like to make that clear. I'm only one customer and probably doesn't matter to CD but I needed to share my experiences. I use to love this place but recently the service has gotten bad. This morning I went to pick up my dry cleaning, laundry, and a blazer I had arranged for buttons to be replaced. The woman who served me was rude and had an attitude from the start. She hands me back my blazer with no buttons changed and said, "we charged you the wrong price. Should have been more to have the buttons replaced." She says someone called to inform me. But of course I have no missed calls or voice messages from CD-One. Needed that blazer for today. What's worse, I get home. Pull out my wash and fold laundry and it's SOMEONE ELSES clothes. In the laundry bag that I GAVE them for MY CLOTHES. I've spent quite a bit of money here in the past year. If I could give a lower rating I would. BEWARE! As a long term customer, One Price Chicago Heights Cleaners gave away my clothes!! I received a call this morning that I left an order there. I came in TODAY/SAME DAY to claim them and was told my clothes were given away! This establishment appears to be under new management and they don't seem to care about doing reasonable due diligence for loyal/repeat customers. They gave no offer of ANYTHING, no apology, not even a refund of the amount I prepaid for the cleaning. They're crooks to me and I will NEVER entrust any of my clothes to this establishment again. They should post their policy boldly IN THEIR STORE that they WILL give customer's clothes away after 30 days rather than printing vague language in washed out print on the back of receipts where someone is likely not to see it. read more

I needed to get 27 large tablecloths pressed in 24 hours. I called and was told if you get them in before 10 am you get them same day. We got there by noon. Told they would be ready by 5:00 pm the next day. I was blown away when they were done in less than 4 hours. When the pickup was made, the manager brought them out himself. I can't believe how wonderful this business is. And they were perfect! What a gem we have in Chicago Heights. Go there, Now. You won't be disappointed. It is conveniently located on Route 30/ Lincoln Highway, near a grocery store, several fast food restaurants, gas station, and movie theater. The staff are polite. The location is clean. The service is fast. As a matter of fact, there is free, same day service. In by 10 a.m., and your clothes are ready by 5 p.m. If not in by 10 a.m. , most items are ready by the next day. I previously tried a different location when the One Price Cleaners were popping up new all around the area. I was dissatisfied, but I decided to try location. At this point, I have been approximately 3 times. My items have come back clean and have not been damaged or shrunk. For the price, convenience, and service, I will continue to go to this location. read more

Service is very inconsistent when it comes to cleaning garments. I have experienced many issues asking them NOT to starch my shirts and they do it anyway ... not good! I have had a couple of shirts ruined during their cleaning process and addressed the issue with the supervisor and owner and they only wanted to offer me a few dollars of store credit for future cleaning. The owner does not accept responsibility for damage to garments during the cleaning process but rather indicates your garment is OLD and has broke down due to the amount of cleaning it has gone thru. I have been coming to this cleaners for years and right now I am so angry I can barely type this review. I arrived around 6:44pm to bring my clothes, mostly sweaters to be dry cleaned for the winter. When I started to take my clothes out of my CD cleaner bag, I received an angry look and then a reprimanding like I was a child about "next time you have to come earlier because you have too many clothes. She actually said that while other customers were in the store. I was shocked that I was being spoken to that way and told her that's no way to speak to a long time loyal customers and why was she speaking to me not only in that tone but to say 15 items was too may items 15t minutes before closing. I am a VP in customer service and if I heard an employee speaking like that to a customer out of the blue with no reason, I would have immediately fired that person. Now I can no longer give them my hard earned money as a customer. In all my years dealing with any company as a loyal customer, I have never experienced anything like this. I dropped my dry cleaning off and my white blouse was given back to me with black spots all over it. The manager was not present at the time. I called the cleaners, asked for a manager and I was put on hold for at least 4 minutes and no one came back to the phone. I called back and I was told that the manager was on a phone call. I went to the cleaners and the manager never acknowledged the black spots on my blouse but stated that my blouse was worn. The blouse was white and in good shape. The cleaners offered me 5 dollars and $3.94 in credit for the damage. This situation was handled poorly and I have no plans to ever visit this cleaners again. read more

BEWARE! Do not take anything you care about to this cleaners! I trusted two of my dresses with this cleaners; one was a favorite dress and one was a very expensive brand new dress to be used in a wedding (really just needed pressing). I went to pick up my dresses on Saturday and after 30 minutes was told they couldn't find them. They said they would call back later. They never called back. Right before closing I returned to the store to speak with a manager who was irritated with me because they lost my dresses. The so called manager told me "mistakes happen, why would we lose your dress on purpose." Even after explaining the dress was for a wedding scheduled for the next day she refused to look for the dresses. I contacted corporate headquarters the following Monday but still haven't heard from them. No surprise there. I am out of a lot of money because of this cheap,(not all that inexpensive anymore) shoddy cleaners. I had to buy a last minute replacement dress for the wedding that did not match the other dresses in the least. Seven days later, still no phone call. I went to the cleaners and they nonchalantly gave me my dresses. I believe someone took them and wore them. If you use this cleaners to save a few cents, do yourself a favor and only take clothes you consider disposable. I'm still waiting to hear from their corporate offices. read more

Went here because of how convenient the distance was from my job I use them pretty often but this is the second time I came and one of my article's of clothing was damaged so I asked about it they said well it's a stain we have to redo it and I won't get it back to quick because of Christmas and I said that's fine I'll pick it up afterwards so I'm here today 12/26/15 and the stain is still there and I ask about it the associate tells me that she has to have a manager call me I said that's fine so I asked when to expect his call she said within 15 days I'm not satisfied at all with how this was handled and I don't think I will continue to give them my business. read more

Brought curtains in to be cleaned. When I got them back they were not clean, the wrinkles in the toppers from being tied on the curtain rod were still in them. Stains in the curtains were not removed. I think they just steamed them and gave them back to me. I will not go back to there again. read more

I've been going to this cleaners for over 10 years. I've seen it exchange owners twice. Now with the new owners, service has gotten to be horrible. I took a brand new worn once pair of jeans (Levi) to have them dry cleaned and they used whatever method and the jeans were damaged. I have had garments damaged before and they always took care of it but this time the manager, Most of my jeans are Levis and I have never had a pair come back damaged from this cleaner until now. My jeans are always dry cleaned but you can clearly see it was mistakenly washed. Even though the tags state they can be washed, anyone know that if you wash them it will take away from the structure and the jeans and they will be damaged. Shasa refused to do anything about this matter and even insulted me with "well, even if we washed them, they should not have shrunk. I have never had a problem before and now they don't want to take responsibility for the damages. It took her 2-3 weeks to call me back when normally I would get a call right away. The services are going down. I'm planning to speak with our community regarding mistreatment of our residents and how we are not appreciated. read more

I used to go to to this CD one all the time because their price are reasonable. Their cleaning sometime left white residue on my clothes and at times I had to iron clothing that was supposed to be pressed. But the rating really comes down to the time when I came to pick up my clothing before having to travel out of town for work. When i picked up my clothes I immediately noticed they provided me with a shirt that was not mine and that they failed to provide me with my shirt. The lady was unapologetic and said she had to review the cameras. I waited while she did so where she realized that my shirt was incorrectly put in the wrong bag by a careless employee. She then had me fill out a claim form and said they will try to locate it and a manager would call. They manager never called. I constantly called after the fact the manager was never available. Finally my husband made several trips to tge store the manager said he would reimburse us but it never happend. I would never again take my clothes to this place.
