Kitty was great! She did a beautiful almond shaped, thin French tip just like I wanted. I was worried my nails were too short. Love it! One thing to note is that they apply the builder gel just like regular gel polish, instead of building the shape of your nail with an apex like some places do. Saw the reviews and stars for this place, called and they were available to do my mani and pedi right away! Older Anne did a great job with my simple mani. I wasn't sure exactly what shade of polish I wanted. Not only did she bring me their most popular 3, but tried them on me. That was very cool of her to do. Would love to see her again! Younger Anne did my pedi. She's very gentile. Wish I could give them 5 stars for the nice service they provided, but I give them 2 because *customer service* is okay until you get to the register... I didn't bring a purse with me. All I had was my phone and a credit card. I wasn't aware they only take cash for tips. I asked younger Anne to add tip to my card, since I had no purse/ no cash. Younger Anne insisted and asked if I had Venmo. I understand her situation, but WOW! Really? After saying something meant for me not to understand in their language to one another, she accepted my tip and said, "just this time". Ok, thanks! The place is very small. Manicures are funny things because everybody has their own particular preference and every technician has her or his own style. It's a beautiful thing when everyone's on the same page! I don't say or take that lightly. Every time I think I'm too picky, someone like Anna comes along and makes me realize I have justifiably high standards. I chose this place because Yelpers highly recommended it. I was assigned to Anna and hoped for the best. Wow! There was a certain color I wanted and, not only did they know the shade, they had it! I've been referred to this nail salon by my friend. My nails have been growing out so quickly despite where I've gone. Kitty told me the way she was going to push my cuticles back. She delivered what she had promised. From getting my nails done every 2 weeks, she was able to let me push it to 3-3.5 weeks - without looking horrendous. You truly pay for what you get. I came back in another time and got my nails done. Unfortunately I didn't love the way it turned out. HOWEVER, Stephany KILLED IT! On top of that they were having issues with their schedules and having a full conversation over my foot looking at the phone and resting a post it on my leg....I'm not a table lol I asked for a design and was told they couldn't do it...asked for stickers and they couldn't find them... they said they'd keep looking but I just wanted to leave by then. Pretty disappointed about the service we received here over the weekend. Corona Del Mar has a ton of nail salons and options, so I'd urge you to check out a different salons before coming here. I brought my boyfriend in for a manicure/pedicure because the man needed some TLC. I typically treat myself once a month to a pedicure but my normal salon was closed for the day so we settled in Nail & Beauty Bar. We called ahead to check availability and they told us they could get us in 30 minutes after the time of our call. Upon arrival they weren't ready for us and made us wait another 20 minutes outside along PCH. Not a problem being outside, but we would've rather show up at a time they were ready for us. We we sat our treatment went fast and I mean warp speed fast. Both our manicures and pedicures were done within 20 minutes of sitting down. That includes waiting for the spa chair to fill with water. There was little to no massage, the chairs were dirty, music was cranking so loud it was hard to relax, and we felt rushed along by the technicians. I left feeling upset for the amount of money spent and the lack of service and hygiene. With many other salon options in Corona Del Mar I know I'll be able to feel satisfied elsewhere. As soon as we got there, all the ladies that worked there were ON IT. 2 ladies on each of the 3 of us for manis and pedis. And they played country music for us! So I was in town visiting with my boyfriend, and I really wanted to get a pedicure. I saw this place and I got super excited because there was no wait so I sat down and told them I wanted a Mani pedi. Overall it was a really clean place but I was really disappointed with the service and my pedicure. She didn't put a toenail separator in between my toes so my pinky nail polish came off right away, and there was nail polish on my skin and uneven. They offered the lady who sat next to me water but never offer me water once. They didn't even mention the yelp check in with champagne iMy boyfriend came in halfway through to say hi and they were really rude to him as well. I loved my mani/pedi and so did my fiancé! When we walked in we saw a muscular gentleman getting his mani/pedi and when we walked out, we saw a soccer mom popping in with her morning coffee to get her nails so don't be shy, this place is great for anyone and everyone. The selection of nail polishes, I have never see such high end polishes at a nail salon! From Deborah Lippmann, Butter, and even Louboutin, you can tell they really love nails and art that goes with it. (p.s. You only have to pay $5 extra to use the high end polishes and it's definitely worth it for the quality). The massage chairs are divine and they had two lovely ladies work on me, one for my nails and the other tender to my feet. Refreshing lime water to soak my nails and the most refreshing scrub for my toes; they really did a great job. They offered us complimentary water, hot tea, or even champagne and it was great. My fiancé got his first ever mani/pedi here and he absolutely loved it. They wrapped his feet to rid the 30+year of man feet and they were so super soft and smooth after his treatment; we were both very happy! My cousin referred me to this spot because I was having a hard time finding a nail salon that could do gel that would last longer than a week. Wherever I went, it would lift in about 10 days. And I couldn't find anyone that could do marble gel either. So I came here late on a Friday evening, desperate for a mani/pedi and Stephany ended up staying past opening hours so that she could do my gel and my marble nails. 1) pedi by Kitty was awesome! She fixed my toe pain, said I had too much cuticle skin and cut everything down perfectly 2) they do this salt scrub thing that has menthol? Not sure what's in it but it feels pretty darn good. 3) mani was literally perfect and sooooo fast. 4) I had a broken index finger nail and was going to resign to just have one nub for a finger ); but Stephany fixed it with a hard gel! I had no idea such a thing existed but I guess it's not the same as an acrylic nail. But after she did it, it looked so real, you can't even tell I had anything broken. 5) paint and marble were freaking amazing!!! I'm so obsessed. I'm going to bring all of my girlfriends here. 6) I got served champagne! Omg not even kidding you, best service ever. The ladies here are attentive, kind, and work REALLY WELL. I was getting my car serviced right next door, and decided I definitely needed a pedicure. I did nottttt like the pricing for gel pedicures ($45), but understand the reasoning: prime area and boujie clientele. I decided to get a regular pedicure ($25) and have them remove my original gel polish ($5). They offer water or tea on the house. They use liners for the tubs and have hygienic products. Tonssssss of different brands and colors for polishes! The actual place is SMALL, SO CALL TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!!! but I was seen immediately, thanks to a random Monday early afternoon. I tried very hard for the past year to turn a blind eye to the passive aggressiveness that I have experienced. I spend a fair amount of money here weekly as my nails do not last very long due to how quickly I am serviced. It is very hard to find a good nail salon in town, so I've kind of bit my tongue so to speak. When someone makes an appointment and then is passed along to another manicurist so they can service a new client, it's a no go in my book. I will not be back.
