I've been going to Carol at Lily's Nails every 3 weeks for over a year now. She always does a great job with my fills & makes sure I'm satisfied every time. I'm a quiet person and like to watch Youtube when getting serviced and she's totally cool with it-- no pressure to make conversation. She's professional, personable, and pays attention to detail. She tracks my visits and gives me a free pedicure after every 10th visit. I live nearby and walk because the parking lot can get really busy. But, if the lot is ever full there is street parking in the residential streets beside the plaza. I like to treat myself to an iced coffee from the local shop next door before walking back home. Got a pedicure using ClassPass PROS (giving one star for each): -Carol was very sweet and friendly -put on color well (better than some other reviews I saw) CONS: -not a great color selection (I was getting regular color, not gel) -used the regular long nail file used on my toenails to exfoliate my feet...what?! -used tools that weren't brand new, which I get, not all places can do that. But I also didn't see where they went when she was done and if they were getting sterilized for the next use?? THE MASSAGE (which is my favorite part) could have been done better by my 1.5 year old. Barely any salt scrub used and she mixed in little water so it was just scrapping against my dry skin and she barely went above my ankle. Then she rinsed that off and used a hot stone on my dry skin. So it wasn't even smooth as it rubbed across my skin (usually the lotion comes before that). Then she put about a dimes worth of lotion on my shins and just rubbed it in on the front of my leg in about two swipes, and that was the end of that. My cousin and I got a mani/pedi here today. They don't take any pride in their work AT ALL. I even had to ask her to even my toe nails out-she was going to paint them at different lengths. Both of our gel toes were super messy and they painted on the skin too. Some parts of the nail didn't have polish (my pinky toe). When my cousin was getting her pedicure, they washed her feet with a scrub (free) and she had to pay extra ($5) for them to exfoliate as well. For my pedicure, she forgot to wash and scrub my feet so she ended up doing that AFTER she painted my toes. I don't get how they can forget a "routine" they should know, since it's their job. One of my fingers is bleeding after the manicure... My cousin's acrylics are SUPER messy. Mine were too. Also, they are SUPER pushy. After she asked how I liked them, I addressed how poorly they did andthey ignored my comment completely. Definitely wouldn't come back again or even think about recommending them. read more

I purchased a Groupon for this salon. A great deal for a pedicure and a gel manicure for two people. It was my first time using Groupon so I didn't know how it worked and when I came in and told them that I had a Groupon the staff acted very rude when I didn't know how to show them the proof on Groupon. They were overall a bit rude to myself and my friend who came along. The pedicure was good though and the lady who did the pedicure was very sweet to me. The worst part of the experience was that the gel manicure cracked within about a day or two. It looks like maybe a thinning agent had been added and compromised the integrity of the polish. I had to take them off a few days afterwards and it really wasn't worth the money. My friend who came along didn't have a similar problem tho so I think they only added the thinning agent to some of the polishes. read more

My best friend got a 2 for 1 groupon deal and wanted to treat me for my birthday. When we arrived the older woman immediately asked if my best friend was going to tip cash or card. We weren't even seated yet and she was already talking about a tip. That was flag NUMBER ONE! When she did my pedicure it was rushed! She didn't turn on my massage chair, she didn't put lotion on my feet, the infamous "hot stone" was a QUICK rub down, and she didn't apply a top coat on my toe nails. When I sat to get my "gel manicure," she filed my nails uneven and proceeded to paint them. I had to stop her and ask her to refile my nails so they were even. The paint job was messy and the entire experience was rushed and the quality of their polish is TERRIBLE. A gel manicure should last longer than a week! My nails began to chip a few days later and so did my toe nails. It's obvious the older woman runs the store, but just because she's the boss doesn't mean she has to rush her services, be SLOPPY, and discuss tips before I can even pick my nail color. I gave three stars because my pedi looks decent and because they were nice and accommodating. Also, they use disposable pedicure tub liners, which should be standard but isn't in all salons. Tools didn't come out of surgical pouches, though. For this place, 3 stars is pretty accurate. My Mani was crazy-fast and rushed. I kid you not, probably a 10 minute manicure start to finish... maybe the reason the gel is uneven and thick? I ended up with a nice color, after first being told I didn't want that color by my tech. (What?!) But she worked with me to get to the hue and sparkle I wanted. Mind you, it was a basic 2 coats of pink with clear/sparkly polish over. I appreciate that they did try to make it the 'best it could be'. But I'd say my manicure is 2 stars out of 5. My big issue is the tech clipped off a chunk of the end of my thumb that had some paint on it. I'd say, try the polish remover next time? I told her immediately it hurt and she went in again, I told her that a little paint was fine. She stopped and walked away. Good Lord....she came at me a few minutes later and wanted to do it some more. I was firm that time that she already almost made me bleed and it was ok. She said it was because my fingers were dry and that's why it hurt. No, my fingers are dry because they were dipped in acetone then abrasively and rigorously filed all over. Honestly, I kind of wish she was that obsessive about the paint job she did in record-breaking time. Also, oddly, I was moved to another chair as I was occupying it for the next customer who hadn't arrived yet. There were at least 2 more chairs available. I moved without issue - because it wasn't one - but truly felt like I was "in the way" and unimportant. Wasn't offered a drink of water while I waited for my friend to finish her mani-pedi, since hers took the normal time to finish. Just felt used and in their way of making more money. Went because there was a Groupon and they said they'd honor it but not to buy the Groupon and just pay there. With very similar stories of our poor end results today, we won't be returning. read more

I came in from out of town for a $33 mani pedi Groupon price that the woman honored in store. It was a slow Wednesday mid-morning, so she was the only one working and I was the only customer. She gave me all of her attention, going back and forth between my hands and feet, making sure I was comfortable the whole time. I'm from out of town, so we chit chatted, she gave me the TV remote and a magazine, and was very meticulous with my mani-pedi. She did a great job and the entire experience, including tip, ended up being only $48!! That's a great price, at least where I'm from. She even helped me fill my water bottle with alkaline water before I left and gave me details on the cafe/store next door. Great service! read more

I found this place from a groupon and thought I'd try it out. I Took a friend with me to celebrate a big weekend and was highly disappointed. Here's why: 1. It was not relaxing AT ALL! Please don't have your customers cross their arms so that you can sit comfortably but leave your clients in an awkward position. I'm literally 8months pregnant and was super uncomfortable the entire time. I made mention of it... but I suppose it didn't matter. We called in advance to see if they did hand massages they said "yes" but they literally threw oil on my hand and left it. Not even close to a massage. 2. We were almost finished and a new person walked in, they made my friend move out of the seat next to me so that the new person could sit there. They had 3 other chairs open so I'm not sure why. 3. After my friends nails were "done" there was a lot of paint still on the sides of her nails, and she asked if they could take it off and the lady responded, "when you wash your hands it will come off" - are you kidding me?! I have my own nail lady I go to in Huntington Beach who I adore so I will forever stay loyal to her. My grandma however will only go to Lily's Nails. She's older and has her routines. I decided to go with her and just got a manicure. It's just regular polish and I'll probably take it off in a couple days but it was only 15 bucks. The main reason I gave 4 stars was for their customer service. All the girls are super sweet. Of course, they'll try to up sell you what place in sales doesn't? Let's be real there's plenty of nail salons around and some of them are hurting. I'm just thankful they take care of my grandma and she enjoys her time there. I do suggest if you go there, bring your own polish. They seem to need to replace some of their polishes. They are slow if you want mani and pedi they only do one thing at once, which my grandma loves so plan ahead. Got my nails done on Wednesday for a party I was having on Saturday. By Friday night I was missing two nails, and three others were hanging on by a thread. I hate to leave a negative review but this place didn't leave me with anything positive to say. My sister got a white gel manicure and when she was done her nails were pink and uneven. (She is younger so she didn't speak up about the color) my lady cut off part of my finger, didn't do any type of manicure, just poorly painted my uneven nails.
