I was double charged for my daughter's art classes by CD Art studio. They charged me $199.5 twice for her class through different credit cards. While making the payment, it did not go through my credit card. I waited and when I was sure the payment had not gone through, I used my other credit card. They charged me on both my credit cards. I raised the issue with CD, and she said she will look into it. I sent emails and texts with snapshots of my account with details of the charged amount, reference number, date I was double charged on, bank account etc so I can be issued a refund. However, I have not received a single response to my texts, emails, phone calls and voicemail. I have been constantly following up, but CD is ignoring my messages. No one even picks up my phone anymore. It is frustrating and highly unprofessional! I hope you don't go through this experience if your child is enrolled in this art studio. read more

We hosted our son's 4th birthday at Art Bash Studios. The process (enquiring, booking, coming to pick the art project with my son, etc) was easy and CD and Stacy were flexible. The party itself was great. All the kids and their parents loved it. CD was flexible with the project (giving them two options to paint... a robot and a giraffe... which she personally drew lightly on the canvas before the party). Ivy and Kenny lead the kids through the painting provide enough "help" but letting the kids do their thing. Everyone (parents included) loved the paintings and really enjoyed the party as it was different from the typical jumping house party. The kids had a blast. The team even set up a painting station (with a step stool) for my almost 2 toddler to paint to his heart's content. There was a mishap with the food delivery so it was at least 40 mins late. CD was quick to respond as soon as I told her the situation. She and Ivy had the kids do a mystery drawing activity and then coloring - I could tell from all the laughing that they also had a blast with this. Clean-up was easy. We packed our things and CD and her crew did the rest. We all loved the party and am looking excited to sign up my son for some art lessons in the near future. After such a great experience in February for our son's birthday party we decided to ask CD to host an art party at our home in Campbell. CD agreed to hold the art class in our backyard for the children. It was a huge success! She brought three different crafts for various age levels. She came early, set up all the materials and she brought everything she needed (hooray!) Afterwards, she cleaned up everything so neatly. I received nothing but compliments from the 14 families that enjoyed the crafts that day. CD even painted a gorgeous mural on our sidewalk to welcome the guests to our party! I wish I can give this place a negative review. I signed up for a private acrylic class for my son on the 28th of December at 4:30pm. I paid $25 dollars in advance to the owner(C.D). My son and I was there 5 mins before time on the 28th. The teacher Ivy was not there. The teacher who was there said there was some miscommunication as no one informed Ivy. The teacher who was present at that time was kind enough not to disappoint my little one. She made him sit with a group and do a watercolor. Stacy called me to schedule an appointment again. I told her I could cancel my son's martial art and will bring him on Saturday at 11am. Again, we showed up. Bingo! the studio was closed. I called the teacher who was present on the 28th (only sensible person in that place) told no one is there and that I need my money back. So far I haven't gotten my money back. Today, I texted the teacher (who was on dec 28th teacher.... Sorry I forgot her name) she texted back saying that I need to call up Stacy which was absurd to after paying the advance money. It's not about $25 it's about the attitude and the irresponsible ownership. I will never enter this place again. I want to get my money back as this place is not worthy. Update: 2/8/2016 I hope the owner reads this update. She texted me on 1/19/2016 and said that she will send the check. I haven't received my money yet. I will wait it out for 1 more week. More importantly, my daughter had such a blast this whole week. CD was so attentive to the kids. She really knows how to bring the best creative energies out of these munchkins. We have mixed feelings about this place. The owner/instructor is VERY good with kids and my child loved it. However, logistics were often mixed up and several times we showed up and were turned away. Thus, we aren't going there any longer. read more

We had our daughter 6th birthday party on Jan 2, 2016. It was our first time organizing any party at this location. We all had a great fun time here, specially all the kids. This is a perfect place for kids of any age (recommendation 3 and above). Our 22 month old guest had lot of fun using brush and paint. Layeton is a great instructor and has lot of patience. Heather was great too. She helped all the kids who where bit late to come up to the speed as others. Kudoos to both of them. One thing which they can improve on is to get a bigger fridge to keep cake. Our cake was 16lb cake and could not fit in there mini fridge. We kept it in our car as weather was cold and for two hours it did not really made any difference. Overall we all had a great time. Those two hours was well spent doing some productive work. If your kid loves art, we highly recommend this place. read more

CD or Ashley did not comfort my child as she stated in her comment.Why was my daughter even locked outside in the first place? Was my child sent alone outside? I asked CD for the CC footage that she claims to have but she is not showing it to us. It simply implies that she is misleading. Also, her Assistant Ashley mentioned that kids often feel locked out because the knob has always been broken (I have her text as proof). The place overall does not feel safe for small kids. I paid $355 for CD and not her staff who seem inexperienced in handling kids and their emotions. Am not sure if they even have the licence to look after small kids in CD's absence. CD did not even refund for remaining days despite this carelessness. read more

We sent our two boys to CD's camp for the week, it was amazing! They absolutely loved it. The. And home glowing and proud of the awesome artwork they created each and every day. This was the highlight of their summer and they are already begging to go next summer. I think we'll do some classes between now and then. Everyone, including CD, was so kind and great with kids. We just celebrated my daughter's 4th birthday here last week and we had an amazing time from start to finish! When we arrived, we were greeted by a beautiful sign outside, and when we walked inside, we immediately felt the warm, cozy and positive vibes of the studio. My daughter and her 3 and 4 yr old friends had so much fun painting a winter themed snowman as their activity. I can't say enough about CD and her staff. They were very attentive, helpful, and engaging with all of our guests. CD, in particular, had such a wonderful way with our kids. I was especially impressed with her quick thinking efforts to enlist the help of my 6 yr old son and his friends to keep them engaged and feeling included in the festivities. Omg it is a good place my mom took up once it was amazing and so good to not be inside the house all the time

We enrolled our child into summer camp through Activity Hero. Upon arriving for the first day, along with several other parents, we find out the facility is closed and camp is cancelled. We contact the owner in which she stated a refund will be issued right away but we would have to wait for a check. We wait and attempt to contact the owner to follow up through calls, texts and e-mails - no response. After two months I finally get a hold of her and she said a check would be issued in two weeks. We wait again and no check. I AGAIN try to contact the owner in which she finally responds back to me via text message to tell me that we signed a contract and now have to wait a total of 4 months to get our money back. What contract?! She then proceeds to send me a screenshot of a waiver on Activity Hero saying something along the lines of "in case of an emergency due to COVID, it can take up to 4 months to be refunded". I'm sorry, let's be clear - the reason we were unable to attend camp is because you didn't show and you failed to communicate not only to our families, but others that you have canceled camp for your own reasons. That should not be our fault. Secondly, you lied and said we would be reimbursed immediately by check, we waited and then we find out you're behind on paying the Spring Classes so now we have to wait even longer. I have empathy for all small businesses during these times, but how do you know that our family isn't struggling and need that money back? We feel completely scammed and taken advantage of because the owner has with held our payment and has made numerous excuses to not give it back. We never redeemed any classes or camps, we never were credited back or given an apology. I assume the owner spent the money and we will never see it back. The four months she asked for is almost up and we're hoping a check will arrive in the mail soon. READERS BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS! read more

Everything was easy..from the initial consultation about what my daughter wanted to do for her project, all the way up to the day of the party and throughout the party. CD, Ivy & Stacy were all so helpful & knowledgeable that I did not need to do much to prepare! My daughter loves elephants, so all of her friends did the mosaic elephants and everyone had so much fun! I read a review that mentioned eating at the same table as the glass...they have changed the process as all of the girls headed out to a perfect table right outside the studio and had their pizza and cupcakes outside! My son just turned 9, and he loves Art Bash. We signed up for a week of summer camp last year (2014), and it was a great experience. They do a variety of projects (papier mache, tiles/mosaic, fused glass, paintings on canvas... and mixed media creations). The staff is very friendly and creative. They care, and it shows! My son is back for a week of summer camp this year. They also offer day camps, which gives me great flexibility during the summer, or during the school year (on school holidays/breaks when I need to work). You can buy a block of days for some savings. It is also easy to sign up using Activity Hero (www.activityhero.com). If you call, they'll tell you more about the activities planned for a given day. I have found Stacey and CD are extremely responsive, and the kids love them. I hear they will be doing a video montage that they will send to parents at the end of each week of camp. Today is my daughter's second day at summer camp. Charmaine came home so excited about her painting. She did an excellent job & it is now proudly displayed in our living room. Charmaine is having a blast at Art Bash Studios. I am so glad I enrolled her in summer camp. I find the price to be reasonable for the camp given each day is a new art and the materials used are very nice. The enjoyment and experience of doing art are well worth the fee charged. If you decide to have your party with CD, the owner of this studio, keep in mind that she may choose to cancel your scheduled party in lieu of trying to resolve any miscommunications. I very much enjoyed my first conversation with her, seeking information for a b'day party for my 4-year-old granddaughter (soon to be 5), and immediately followed up with an email and deposit check as she requested. I copied my daughter on the email and asked CD to make all future arrangements with my daughter. After two weeks my daughter informed me that CD was failing to respond to emails requesting confirmation of the date and time of the party; whereupon, I realized my check had not been cashed and it may be a problem on my end to resolve. I called CD and we had a pleasant conversation, in which she informed me that she remembered receiving my check but didn't know where it was. I then asked her if we could go ahead and confirm the date and time, but after a few moments of her searching we had to start from scratch as she couldn't find the paperwork. She also had no memory of setting an appointment for the next day for my granddaughter to come into the studio to pick out which art project she wanted for her party. CD then informed me that she would email my daughter to confirm the party is on and also to reschedule the visit to the studio. CD then called me a few minutes later, asking for help locating my email address. I asked her to search for my daughter's instead. She then found it and said she would email her right then. A few hours later my daughter informed me that no email had been received by CD and that because she had recently attended a child's birthday party where the owner of the business failed to show up and the party was held on a park bench, she wanted to make other plans if she didn't hear from CD by the end of the weekend. At this point I see I should have simply stayed out of it, but I thought it was a simple miscommunication that could be resolved. So I called CD and asked her to please respond by Monday or we would like to cancel the party, and in that event would she please tear up my check when she found it. She did respond that night, but instead said she did not respond well to threats; that parties are supposed to be fun for everyone "including the birthday girl"; and that because I called simply because she had not sent the email when she said she would that it sent up red flags for her and so she would simply pass on having the party As there was no insight on her part to get to the bottom of the miscommunication, I can only assume it will happen again to other children and parents, so felt it best to share my experience. read more

I am updating my review based on the feedback provided by CD in response to my initial review. While I had a negative experience with my financial transactions, I understand CD's reasons as stated. I would've liked to have heard this before writing the initial review but better late than never. My kids did have an enjoyable time and the financial aspect was completely invisible to them. I approached CD to see if she could provide an art class that my daughter (5 years old) and I could take together. She has provided us with a great opportunity for each of us to explore art making---using different methods. She has the ability to connect with my extremely quiet daughter and at the same time, connecting with adults. She introduces art concepts in non-threatening ways and fosters growth in the process of art making as well as the end product. I consider myself extremely lucky to have found her. We had the pleasure of celebrating my daughter's 8th birthday at Kids Art Bash. We searched everywhere for a unique venue and luckily came across this fantastic place! Meeting with the owner CD Hullinger, she provided a variety of options to do such as painting acrylic landscapes, paper collage, and fused glass. We decided on creating a glass mosaic wall mounted wooden coat rack, something we had never seen done before at a party. It was a huge hit with our guests. They enjoyed the creative process and the parents appreciated the fact it was artwork that was both practical and purposeful! CD and her team made the celebration a memorable and delightful time. I've rediscovered parts of me I forgot about at Art Bash Studios. My first experience was a party. A friend invited me to a get together where we all made fused glass creations. I loved the process and I love the pieces in my home. Since the first party I went with a friend where we spent an afternoon combining wood, paint and glass. CD is incredibly creative and a generous, patient guide and teacher. The experience at Art Bash has fueled creativity in other areas of my life. This would be a great place for a corporate "team building" event focused on creativity or for a writer or anyone who needs to reignite their creative spark. Have fun! read more

We hosted my daughter's 9th birthday party here today. We had never been here (we found it based on Yelp reviews), so we didn't know what to expect. We were so pleasantly surprised! The studio is really charming, clean, and the place was already decorated. Our instructor, Leighton, was wonderful with the kids. She was so patient and kind. There was guidance, but also freedom for the kids to express themselves. We did the "mystery landscape" which was fun! I LOVE that we get to bring our own food, as I'm tired of places using only certain vendors. I also met the owner, CD, who was really warm and sincere. What a wonderful experience! I'll be honest, my daughter at first was reluctant to go to Art Camp (only because the summer laziness had set in), but after the first day she couldn't WAIT to go back! All it took was the excitement of putting a paint brush to the canvas that got her art juices flowing. She was beaming each day when I picked her up and couldn't wait to show me everything she did and explain all of the new techniques that she learned. She really liked the instructors and the studio is so bright with colors and inspiration all over the walls. Such a great environment! She loved the camp and I can really see a sense of pride in her when she shows off her completed projects to people. She set up a "Gallery" in our home and invited all of her grandparents over to view her work - explaining all of the details of each piece with a huge smile on her face while doing so! We held our daughters 6th birthday party at Art Bash Studios and had an excellent experience. During the booking process Stacy was very helpful, efficient and professional. On the day of the party everything went without a hitch. The class was taught by Ivy, but CD was also there. Ivy did a great job of talking 15 4-6 year olds through their painting task, all of the kids were dedicated to the task and really seemed to enjoy themselves. The party was well structured with a break mid-painting for snacks. The staff were considerate to parent and child needs; they know what they are doing and they do it well. If you have a creative child I would definitely recommend Art Bash for kids parties. read more

My daughter was at Art Bash Studio for a few years and really enjoyed it. I went to the owner CD Hullinger a few months ago to see about changing the time she met with my daughter. At first CD said it would not be a problem and that she would be able to do it. When I did not hear from her I contact her again and she said she would talk to her office manager Stacey about her schedule and would get back to me. This was over two months ago and I have not heard anything. I think this is very unprofessional of them.
