Kitchen before

Daniel and his team did a wonderful job on our kitchen and entryway hardwood floor refinishing. Though delayed a day by the snow and ice, he arrived early the next day and got the work done expeditiously and very, very well. Preparation was excellent, all non-involved areas sealed off to minimize dust. Cleanup was excellent too, leaving very little for us to do afterward. All aspects of the job were well-done and we highly recommend CDS Hardwood Floors to everyone. The price was surprisingly competitive, given the quality of the work.

These guys did the most amazing and professional floor job on my boat. Better than any I have ever seen. They were incredibly courteous and their attention to detail was amazing. I highly recommend Daniel and his crew look at these pictures.

Amazing job to our old floors! My house was built in 1962 and the hardwood floors needed serious attention or even replaced. CDS Hardwood Floors refinished them back to life! Even the new baseboards were installed perfectly! I highly recommend them for your home! Excellent service and understanding of what you need! Thanks again Daniel for going above and beyond!

Amazing work on our floors by Daniel and his crew. Showed up on time every day. Honest quotes and even helped get us closer to our budget. Daniel also showed us a sample before finishing the floors.

So I hired this company to replace hardwood flooring that was damaged by other installers. Daniel Santos came out and he was a little condescending during the visit but with me returning to work in a week, I overlooked it. The guys arrived around 10 when Santos said they would be there at 8. When I called he said they were stuck in traffic. The guy that arrived said they had to pickup another guy. I said no traffic, he said no. Okay fine. The floor came out okay. A few weeks later the HW floor around the fridge was buckling due to water damage from previous owner. Santos was late and no call for the estimate appt, I had to call him. Upon arrival he took laser measurements but as I was watching the points he used didn't make sense. After review he stated one day, a full day if the subfloor was damaged. This floor would be nailed down rather than glue like the first. I said great, you give me a date you'll be free to complete and I'll work around. He said the 12th. I get the estimate and the sqft looked odd to me. I went back and measured and Santos was 36sqft off. That made a difference because sqft is used to calculate the labor. We went back and forth and he reworked the numbers. On the 11th at 8pm I get an email saying they would be here 11-12. I text him to say what happened to full day? I ultimately canceled the install the next day because I didn't plan for a second day off work based on him saying it would take one full, if subflooring was needed. He came back with the 16th but I couldn't due to work so said I would reach out when I was ready. A week later I gave him several dates in Nov, keeping in mind he previously told me he needed just 3 days to schedule. I gave him more than two weeks. I didn't hear back so I sent a text saying to let me know by COB Monday. He comes back with 7 Dec as their next available date. What!? I called and he stated they were booked 3 months in advance. That's odd since you gave me a date 4 days later and during the first install you had all kinds of availability. Long and short we went back and forth and he refused the job. Fine by me. His audacity extended to telling me what I could and could not put in this review. Bottom Line - although the flooring work was fine, hence an extra star, everything else wasn't. Late, condescending in tone and handling of customer, poor communication, and mediocre attention to detail.

Excellent pricing, excellent communication, and excellent service. What more could you ask for?  We had four different contracting companies come to our house for free estimates and CDS Hardwood Floors had the best pricing without skimping on quality. The other thing that made us choose this company over others was their level of professionalism. Daniel (the owner) provided me a baseline for pricing up front (even before the estimate!) so we could stay within budget and his communication was fast and courteous. Scheduling with him was easy and I had clear expectations of what they were going to do and how I needed to prepare the space.  The service was absolutely fantastic! Our old, scratched, stained, and beat up floors looked stunning and brand new after they were finished. I was seriously impressed at their skills in rejuvenating the space! I was also pleasantly surprised that there wasn't a speck of dust in the house after they finished. We were expecting lots of residual dust but the level of cleanliness was mind-blowing. They were also incredibly punctual. We highly recommend this company to anyone needing their floors refinished!

Holy mother of god Daniel saved my hardwood floors - I had some work done for my house and I had originally started working with a contractor who said he could refinish and stain the existing hardwood floors in my home and remove the linoleum flooring in my kitchen and add hardwoods to the kitchen, no problem I thought so I hired him to do somethings around the home but more importantly, I hired him for the floor work. Fast forward 4 weeks and the contractor I hired had removed the linoleum floors and added in hardwoods that were roughly a half-inch higher than the existing hardwood floors. The contract who said he could tie the floors in actually could not. tie them in and instead decided that he wanted to use a reducer so the kitchen would have a transition piece...then went ahead and used Minwax to stain the floors... The floors were a complete disaster.... I hopped on Yelp and reached out to five different flooring companies, Daniel and CDS were one of the five companies. Daniel came to the home and looked over the floors and said he could save them but I was extremely hesitant because he didn't have any Yelp reviews. I decided to give him a try after he sent me a few photos of his previous work and talked me through what he would be doing to the floors. Of the five companies, I contracted Daniel was the most reasonable via a combination of time and cost. He came in the next day (Friday) and worked through the weekend to get my floors done, he had to replace the raised hardwood pieces and a few other things and within the weekend literally saved my hardwood floors. Walking into the home now I do not remember how bad the floors were before. Daniel even sent me photo updates as the project progressed which I really appreciated. In the future, I will be giving Daniel a call for any and all flooring projects, he has a customer for life in me.

Had a great experience with CDS Hardwood flooring. Recently we moved to an old house with works floors and carpeted bedroom. They installed hardwood flooring in my bedroom and sanded the entire remaining level of my house to to remove the old stain then stained to match every room entirely. It looked fantastic, cohesive, and you can't tell the old from the new unless you "know" to look. Then later they came back to complete wood flooring for a kitchen remodeling project I had saved up for. It's incredible, seamless, beautiful. Quality work, very easy to speak to and the whole crew is positive. I highly recommend CDS. Daniel Santos and his team.

We knocked down an wall and added hardwood to that area to match the existing.

Keep in mind that there is a lot of labor involved in refinishing a floor. It takes a hours to complete. And when you have the caliber of employees that they have, you've got to pay them well to keep them. And these guys are worth keeping. So no, it is not a cheap job. But I feel like I got more than my money's worth. I could go on and on about how much I recommend this company. Two of my neighbors inquired about their work. Carpet was supposed to go all the way to the pillar shown in the picture. Jacob explained that due to where the laminate was installed, they were able to get very close to the pillar, roughly 1 inch away. We agreed to this and a quote was received and approved. When the installers arrived, I explained to them everything as I explained to Jacob, including installation up to the pillar. They asked if they were doing the stairs too, and I said no. This should have been the first red flag of miscommunication. When the work was done, I noticed that the carpet did not reach the pillar as we have discussed. It was roughly 2 vinyl planks away (over a foot away!). The installers told them Jacob only told them 17ft installation, not to the pillar. Which was odd, since I specifically told the installers that it should have gone up to the pillar. If there were some confusion, why did they not ask me about it? At this point, it was too late to fix. Jacob arrived and confirmed it as supposed to go the pillar, and further confirmed that it was too late to do anything. By failing to remove all the vinyl planks up towards the pillar, this also caused the end of the carpet to not be able to be tucked under the laminate. Now there is an area of the carpet that sticks out as well, also shown in the picture. Finally, our basement has a step down area. By removing the laminate, it exposed a gap in my baseboard. I would have hoped that the installers would have asked us how to proceed, rather than just ignoring it and proceeding. So now I have more imperfections due to the carpet installation. At the end of the day, the carpet was mostly installed as we requested. Just wished that the communication would have been better. Now I am stuck with imperfections in my basement. The ironic part is, the leftover roll of carpet they provided me would have been enough to cover the area they failed to install.

He referred me to a great showroom so I could pick out the wood to replace the carpet. I took my time deciding and never felt rushed. Aaron kept me up to date on the timeline of wood delivery, start dates and estimated completion dates. His crew was precise and efficient, finishing ahead of schedule.
