I say that due to the fact that I recently came here with my daughter and I was more hopeful for just the drinks, very descriptive hot chocolates and coffees, but they were not up to par with their menu descriptions. The coffee I ordered was the caramel coffee drink; it tasted very sweet, very light and far from buttery caramel. Next, my daughter ordered a Nutella hot chocolate and she said the marshmallows were way too sweet, plus the addition of a chocolate syrup, and minimal Nutella in her cup. We both thought the coffee and hot chocolate could have been a lot better. The prices were closer to $7 per drink. Now for the food items, which scored better. I had a breakfast sandwich and my daughter had scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and toast. My breakfast sandwich was fresh, the cheese was good and the size was great. It was served with a side salad. Their ambiance is nice, but there was an odd smell upon entering. I also wanted to not that they should have some sort of background music and even a light snack for the table, something that is welcoming and warming for a new customer. I will first say this place is great for large groups and you can make your own fun for sure! The music is great and so is the atmosphere. That being said, I expected much more for the cost. We paid a $20 cover and expected to have a $40 balance to pay at the restaurant. This $60 paid for our food only. The food is just ok, nothing special, this is definitely more of a place you go for the atmosphere. The place is Byob and you get one bottle of champagne for the whole time you are there. We got the check and realized one carafe of orange juice was $22!! They also automatically add gratuity which is fine but it's not listed anywhere and it was over 20%. Came here for a valentines brunch. The place is as decorated so cute & I loved the vibe. The service was attentive. We started with some fresh squeezed Orange juice which we love finding. Also got a hot cocoa, which is super chocolatey and delicious, but I wouldn't recommend starting it before your breakfast because it's filling! We also got mimosas, it's byob. We had some crepes which were rich and filled with Nutella and strawberries. Very good. We also got the waffle hash brown with locks and eggs. The waffle hash brown is very different but I can't say it was my favorite. It was creative but I wouldn't get it again. My husband got the big boy breakfast crepe which was a great choice and that's what I would choose for next time. One of the worst experiences of my dining life. We came about 2 in the afternoon and were the only customers there for a while. The server looked bored and annoyed. She sat us outside at our request, where the guys hanging in front of the barbershop started blasting music out of their car. We moved inside. The entire time we were inside the restaurant, the server was talking on her speaker phone. Loudly. The whole time. Eventually, she turned down the person she was talking to or took her off speaker, but continued to talk and talk herself. I was so stunned that I didn't believe what she was doing at first. She ended up comping my entire meal as an angry protest when I only questioned gratuity. This was a really solid brunch option here in Red Bank. The gravy for the chicken and waffles was amazing, the crêpe we had was very good, and the eggs Benedict was superb! They have a good set up going for Covid response with outdoor seating, tents, distance, staffing masks, etc. They also have a restroom for customers! The only negative was that one of their servers, a younger male, had very little to no personality or initiation and we had to ask to order and ask for our check. Gem of a find! We love French Bistro's and this establishment certainly lives up to our expectations. We started off with a cafe latte for my wife and I ordered a cafe mocha. Definitely a high quality espresso is being used. Our breakfast was absolutely cooked to perfection. Typically many restaurants over or under cook the eggs. This simply was not the case at this place. My wife ordered a open face galette crepe. I ordered the potato pancakes with bacon and cheddar cheese with a side of spicy bison sausage. Note that the potato pancakes are actual pancakes so it was a bit of a surprise for me when I expected the normal potato pancakes, but they are delicious. Our server was very pleasant and attentive which is quite a nice sit since this seems to be an area that is declining in the restaurant business. One other thing to take note of is that the restrooms are very clean. For all these reasons, we will be returning to patronize this establishment. The sunny-up eggs were a bit cold, but the thick, hand-cut whole wheat bread that I slathered in seeded red raspberry jam was delicious. We stopped here for a bite before the b-day dinner. It was almost a dinner killer as I have never seen crepes so big and filled with so much deliciousness. The Cuban crepe was just that and it was savory and amazing. I would definitely order this one again. The Smores crepe was also good, but it seemed a bit too much something. Not sure if all the whipped cream was the issue, but it was a little lacking on the graham cracker crunchiness. Even though we thought the Cuban was much better than the Smores I still give this place a 4 star for the huge warm crepes. The décor is nice and there is outside seating which is probably good for the next few weeks. We would definitely try this place again when we get back here. This place does have limited seating at tables and a few bar stools at the front window. Street parking only. We finally went and we got a dessert crepe with bananas and Nutella - it was very good but overall pretty small compared to other crepes I have gotten out. Paid $2.00 extra for ice cream. If you look at the photo attached, you can see that it was the smallest Ice cream scoop in existence which was practically already melted by the time it got to us.
